Jasonc ..... I damn near punched a hole in my computeer monitor from all the sh!t being shoveled. What surprises me is why hasnt harmony gold sent a C & D letter to bendo since bendo is listing the pod cast as "official". Since HG sent those letters to retailers selling macross products. As for the idiocy floating around, I always wondered, wouldnt it have been more beneficial for hg to go to Big West early on, as in when the yamato/toycom fiasco, and instead of crying wolf, make a deal to produce valkyries/veritechs? Instead what the masterpieces that were released, they could have gotten the yamato 1/48 scale valkyries with "modified" decals. With all the customizers on this site as well as the robotech site, the macross repro decals would have ben inevitible. I just dont understand harmony golds reasoning.

Was there any confirmation about whether or not the gunpod would store in the leg and how yamato was able to accomplish this?

Hey folks ..... I just finished listening to the self proclaimed "number 1 robotech fan" and my ears are bleeding. Could someone please tell me what this person is smoking? If it isnt a conspiracy, its a jab at the original scource material. There was even a statement that macross plus, macross 7 and macross frontier were not part of the actual macross time line. However, Bendo went so far as the say that macross 2 is the direct continuation of the of SDF macross. Then the usual rants against macross purists and how much better robotech is. There were many statement made about why the sentinals series were not completed, one in particular, was that the japanese animators could not wrap their minds around the grand story about robotech and how it was a galaxy spanning tale, keep in mind that im paraphrasing. I have and occasionly do still watch robotech because i grew up watching that. I am also a fan of the origianl macross and wish that the other macross series could be brought over. How much futher can one use the original show and pass it off as brand new. Where is all the new material that has been promised. Going back to the pod cast. There were statements made about the appereance of the ladies of macross. However, when the issue of annie in new gen being in a toga and getting married and 13, bendo defended that scene saying that civilization has deteriated since the invid attacked. By this time all logic has left the building and the twilight zone music was playing. I have read many times that RT should be put to rest and after listening to these podcast I agree. At least until someone gets in there and has a CLEAR AND CONCISE direction of what robotech should be and where it should be taken. Thanks for the time to rant .....

Hey everyone ..... based on all the new information I have been reading about all the new version 2 items, are bandai and yamato using the same references for size scale when producing the valkyries?

What happened to the reissue vf-25f alto custom?.....I cant find it anywhere!?!?!?! Was it a small reissue batch? Both HLJ and OD are sold out and BBTS has them for 150.00. I am not sure if BBTS has the original releases or the re-releases with the fixes........

With all the talk about the heat shield, it is suprising that no one commented about the the issues that plaged the first releases. One of which is the tail fins........no one brought up the tail fins.....

Any chance that yamato would produce the fan liner that was used for the grand prize of the "miss macross"competition? Are the 1/60 scale valkyrie pilot figures going to be able to fit in the fan liner?

Are the gunpods going to be able to be stored under the valkyrie? Not internally, as I had just read Grahams post, but externally underneath the valkyrie? I read somewhere that the two gunpods that the YF-21 has were able to be stored under the valkyrie. Is yamato going to take that approach for the VF-22? Also are there going to be fast packs with the VF-22?

Heres something that has perplexed me since this whole HG vs BW vs Tatsunoko vs ROBOTECH fans vs The individual series(purists), what does HG hope to gain by contining to alienate fans both new and old? With all the retconns and just overall confusion, there is just too much being done which is causing something akin to the DC comics/Marvel comics multiverse and I personally cant keep track any longer. I personally enjoy both RT and all three of the individual series that comprise what was truned into RT. I have also met Carl Macek, Tommy Yune, and Kevin Mckeever. Both Tommy and Mr. Macek were nice, however, kevin spent too much time attempting to point out the flaws of the originals how much better RT was to and at the same time not allowing anyone to get a word in edgewise about what flaws RT might have had or still does have. This is not an attempt to bash RT as I enjoy them both. I just find that, as JasonC had said, and if I am quoting incorrectly I apologize, "Its time that there needs to be a seperation between those two entities in order to see if RT could stand on its own". I am also a memeber on the RT site and I remember it got really harsh in the chat rooms when company "Y" was even mentioned. I understand that it was a touchy subject then and still is now. However, in the plainest of tems, HG dug its own grave. Rather then pull the "stay away, its mine" card, HG should have extened the proverbial olive branch and worked with yamato and BW COOPERATIVELY for a myriad of reasons. The main reason is THE FANS. The SMALL population that garners them the BIG paychecks. Also, the ability to get a lineart accurate, collectors piece without having to mortgage the house would be a good thing. Just from the stand point of being a fan, and a collector in general, I believe RT would be a goldmine of transforming mecha toys. Even if the there were two disinctly different toylines. How much would it really cost to "retool" the decals/stickers and boxes? I give credit to Toynami for the attempts that were made so far, however, there is still room for improvement. How much room though depends on HG. I apologize for the rant.....This was just my 3 cents .....I like the edit feature.....it ACTUALLY does make things eariser to read.....

Does the guyver count? Based on both anime and what pictures i have seen from the manga, the initial "merging" process would be extemely painfull. However, the end result would be really cool. To have all that power would be "nice".....

It looks like the TV version of the VF-1A is using a new TV style head sculpt instead of just being a movie version VF-1A with the TV version paint scheme. Or am i just slow to post a comment?... Thats ok though...I am still getting it... HELLO macross valkyries......good bye tax refund check

Is this going to effect places like HLJ? Based on everything that I have read here, it sounds as if the only way that yamato macross items can be purchased would be if the purchaser lived in Japan and Asia. It also appears that it is also going to become more difficult to have any macross items even sent to the US.

It seems that with the popularity of macross f in the states, HG wants to ride the coat-tails in order to cross-merchandise the robotech MPCs. Ultimately, HG is going to shoot themselves and Toynami in the collective foot because all they are doing are creating a LOT of bad press. This is just an opinion though.

Will yamato ever release a 1/60 scale set of ground crew figures, besides the ones that are packed with the destroids? Possibley as a separate package that is in the same vain as the miriya three pack with the improved miriya pilot figure? Also, what are the chances of a Max pilot figure for the Q-Rau getting released?

What happened to 1/60 scale mac II monster? Wasnt it supposed to be released a few years ago? Does anyone have any of the old production pictures?

Any guess what the next 1/60 vf-1 would be produced, after the 1d get released. Is Yamato going to switch between the movie and tv designs? Or, primarily focus on the movie versions and only produce the main character valkyries from the tv show? Also, if yamato does release a tv version of the vf-1a would it be a repaint with the movie head, or would the battroid head be the tv show design?
