  1. The crazy thing, knowing Bandai, the metallic versions will be improved and the hips will be corrected.
  2. Hey, they fixed the leg on the VF-19!! Bring on the Macross Plus 1/100 toys!!!!
  3. So, how tall would this thing be in Battroid mode? I hope it's a PG with no painting required.
  4. I know I'm beating a dead horse but I just want to express how disgusted I am that Bandai will not fix the hips on the DX line Valks. I see some cool stuff coming out in the future (the Macross Quarter, The Armor Plus Alto figure) but I can't bring myself to get any of it because without a cool Valk figure to go with them it's pointless. Why Bandai? WWWWWWHHHHHHHYYYYYYY!?!?!!??!
  5. Seriously, what does Bandai have against putting the hips in the right position? I just cancelled my order.
  6. I wonder if Bandai would be nice enough to have the cod-piece armor removable and make the cod-piece compatible with the basic model? This way you could use it to "fix" the hips on the basic model. They have done something like this in the past with other figures. If so then I would end up getting both. Removable armor would be better though IMHO.
  7. If the armor is not removable then why the big price increase? It would basically be the same number of parts with a few more attachments. If the armor is not removable then forget it. I was hoping to get improved basic versions (the hips) along with the armor this time. I hope you are wrong Renato but non-removable would seem much more likely seeing as there would be no point in buying the basic versions otherwise. Why get a inferior first release when you can wait, pay a little more, and get a superior version with add-on parts to update it to armored mode? I was wondering why Bandai would basically kill the sales of the normal releases buy releasing better versions while they still have not even released all the basic models yet. I guess I thought Bandai wanted to make up for the problems with the 1st versions but maybe not...
  8. Wow, I'm really glad to see they are making improvements with the armored versions. If these have the removable armor and more anime accurate proportions then I'm sold! Actually, I might even cave in on the Quarter now that I have a line of VF-25's to buy.
  9. I must be crazy but I'm thinking about giving the Ozma 1/100 a try. It looks pretty decent in the pics from Tamashii 2009. High hips and all. Someone talk me out of it!!
  10. Bandai really opened up a can of whoop-butt on Alter by adding these to the Damashii line. Is the scale really that different? I think most Robot Spirits toys are 5" tall and I think the Alter figure will be roughly 6". Granted, you probably won't have the opening cockpit (maybe) or as crisp detailing with the Bandai version but you will end up with a much higher selection of arm slaves to add to the collection in the future all which will cost about one-fourth the price. Bandai is doing such crazy things right now they might even make a scale Damashii Behemoth on down the road. I did see where Alter is making the other Urzu team arm slaves but how long will they take to make it out? We'll probably be able to get the whole Bandai version of the Urzu team plus 2 enemy mechs for the price of one Alter figure before Alter even releases the second figure in their line. I'm really thinking about canceling my order for the Alter version now.
  11. Sorry, but that bat-wing design will not be what comes with the toy. It's going to be the classic look seen in the drawings. Bah, who even cares? Bandai needs to make a Mazinkaiser SOC instead of this anyway!!
  12. It is way over-priced but where else are you going to get a high-quaility figure of the Arbalest? I'm trying to decide between this and the Volks Linebarrel, another over-priced plastic toy. Yeesh...
  13. I'm still really suprised how forgiving everyone is being on this one. Given the price and parts swapping we should have at least got something that is more show accurate in looks. The legs totally ruin this one. And the crotch is swappable, so why have the legs in the wrong position? This just totally baffles me. I like Bandai and I refuse to believe that they could not have done a better job than this.
  14. Model. Totally the model. It's the only one that looks like the actual thing. The hips are even swappable on the 1/100 and they still could not get it right!! WTF? And the canopy is still toilet bowl refresh blue. Nice Bandai, real nice. Are they trying to force us to buy the models?
  15. Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the Robot Spirits line. I finally caved and got the 00 Gundam and I have to say, it was actually better than I expected. Very tight QC (at least on mine) and a nice feel to the toy all together. Nice sculting and articulation as well. I purchased the HCM Pro version before this and I think the Robot Spirits line looks to be the better choice. The only thing that sucks now is finding money to keep up with all of the stuff coming down the pike. I hope Bandai makes a Turn A Gundam to go with the X.
