Saburo, your hangar is really cool. Is it custom?

This. I play with the HMR line cuz it doesn't break easily. Breaking a HMR is cheaper than breaking a yammie. But the parts on the HMRjust pop back on. So it's fun.
  3. Is there another preorder going on? NY has that ticket system to wait just to log on?
  4. like the frog face on Tomahawk, ha ha
  5. I've handled this valk in person, and I didn't notice it until that pic next to the yammie. It's a nitpick. I'd still like to get my hands on a Max, or at this rate, the next valk. I think if Bandai reissued with the swingbar as one solid piece, that'd ruin the collection, ha.

nice pics tekering. looks like there's more leg room for minmay in the 1D vs the Ostrich. Like the airlines these days, shrinking that leg room
  7. ha ha it is bit nitpicky. I just noticed because the yammie has clean lines, and my HMRs that have metal feet have clean molds for the metal feet
  8. Thanks. I didn't know the that the processes were that different. Just a comparison, the metal feet on my ostrich hmr don't have the vertical line on the front middle, and it's also a VF-1. Is it because the hmr feet are small and the dx feet are large and have to be soldered together?
  9. Bandai has gotten the parts on models sprues to have mold lines not on the front/displayed side, but hasn't done that for metal parts. Their newer Master grade kits have clean parts now. Is that what we're talking about here?
  10. is that line on the metal feet supposed to look like that? If it was plastic I'd think it was a seam line, but not sure what that vertical line is on the metal foot?
  11. nice pic. Notice the line down the middle of the metal feet on the bandai on the left, and the lighter gray plastic feet on the yammie has no vertical line?

    saburo that pic is lit!
  13. Yeah this was a good shot
  14. I was expecting a 1s too since that is the typically the second popular valk. It was issued right after the 1j in the hmr line I think.
  15. Was it? But pringles are gross. Ok, valks are like beer. You want another one.
  16. valks are like Doritos, you can't just stop at one. If they're available, I'd probably buy 1j, 1s, and 1a in low vis.
  17. I think it's fun if you get a valk. Not if you don't. Consecutively coming up empty handed on all the valks can't be called "collecting" but rather "missing". First time, it's not a big deal. Second time, no big deal. 3, 4, 5 that's a distribution problem. If there were a poll about the satisfaction about the distribution of these products, I think many would rate the distribution poorly. Browsing sites can be fun, and I appreciate your contribution to our community. It's absolutely a first world problem, and puts it accurately in that perspective. But it's also a problem that others already have a working solution for. Yes, these are luxuries, and hobbies. We all have our opinions on whether the price is worth it or not. It's the garbage execution of distribution that frustrates the consumer. It's the complete opposite of retail therapy - instead of relaxing us, the purchasing process is enraging. Real downer when that carrot is dangled in front of our faces and then yanked away. Interesting anecdote. Do you get carded a lot at bars?
  18. Exactly. When did a relaxing hobby become a stressful beast? The stress of the hunt gets a lot of peeps giving into the scalpers. Either way you're screwed. The "hunt for the Decepticons" line was fun to hunt/shop for because certain bots were a challenge to find, but not near impossible. There are a few on this board that scored, but many more of us have been empty handed after 2 seconds of cartjacking. Then there's the inevitable staying up even later than that, masochistically going through all the sites, refresh, refresh, refresh. Jet lag the next day. Checking this site over the next few days only to find another valk opened up and then instantly gone 2 minutes before logging on. Really looks like DX Frontier, and the reason why I rage quit this hobby until HMR brought me back. The Yamato days were a more civilized time of leisure shopping. The day after Max, was Sentinel's Blowsperior, and it was leisure shopping. It's just the DX line that is messed up.

Must've been Britai's bro. Explains why he bashed the heck out of them when he saw that large uniform walking around with no head
  21. Thanks, that's the one. They should make that one too, that'd be cool.
  22. I think most peeps here like me have to stay up late (or wake up) to madly punch F5 like Pavlovian dogs (no insult intended, it's more of a Krusty reference). So the next day is jet lag, and is annoying cuz it's not a cheap toy, and still can't even buy it. It's like Black Friday stress, but online. If you hunt and buy, you're fine. But if you have all that effort, and empty handed, you're ticked off. Takes the civilized part out of hobby - I can imagine peeps raging like the meme of the guy wrecking his computer. My buddy gets all judgmental about his wife who's keeping up with the Jones, buying Coach purse, etc. She gets all uppity about his "toys". It is not a cheap item, so spouses have to talk about buying expensive items. And this toy line takes up a lot of space. I think we'd all like to approach this hobby like the hmr line, just click and buy, no stress, not much scalping.
  23. For those unfamiliar with DX Frontier line, the vf-25g was blue frontier that didn't get reissued. same with the rvf-25 green radome frontier valk i think . so Hikky 1j will probably get a reissue since alto is basically Hikky colors, and Roy since Bandai reissued the 25s (same color as Roy)
  24. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The main DX Frontier valks go reissues (except the blue one) but took years.
  25. nice pics ravenhawk. I haven't watched these since I was a kid. IIRC, wasn't there also a rider with a bike similar to rook's but with a camera instead of launcher?
