Shawn, Today I started a new For Sale post and found that the forum is not set to allow users to consecutively add replies to any topic unless a) another member has already posted since or b) a specified amount of time has passed (maybe 10 minutes?). This makes it extremely cumbersome to post multiple items with pictures in a For Sale post. Luckily, Exo was kind enough to assist me, but it was very time-consuming and required a Moderator's access. I can understand that this is set this way to prevent spamming, but is there a way to turn this off in the For Sale section? Thanks.

The model kits you are talking about are gumball machine knock-offs of small die-cast toys produced by Gakken in 1983: For a full review of the originals, head over to Anymoon.com http://anymoon.com/blog/2007/04/08/gakken-135-ride-armors The gumball machine versions came out in 1987 or so and were pretty cool since you could build a Ride Armor army out them. I had about a dozen back in the day I can't say I have ever seen any eBay recently, so acquiring more is going to be a challenge. Many owners might consider them junk and never consider listing them.

I agree. And usually when a film has to rely on familiarity by using established sterotypes and rehash elements (wimpy desk-pusher/nerd guy, mini gun, "because... thats what I would do", and possibly the music) it indicates weak writing and unoriginality. All these previews indicate to me that this is going to be another failed attempt at reviving the Aliens/Predator successes of the past. In my opinion when the bad films of a franchise start to equal the number of good films, then it time to give it up. You are never going to capture that spirit of the originals and you should go back to making original films.

Cool, are these from an auction? There are actually a lot of missing line arts for various episodes and mecha from the show. Usually when I see auctions on YJA, they feature the most common and well-known characters (such as these pages) so I am never sure if it would be worth buying into one to try and find some undiscovered line art.

I think this thread is a good idea since there is some great anime that haven't had Western exposure, but how is there 'no other option available' for Mospeada when there was the Madman release Australia and ADV release in North America?

I have most of these. They are usually full of character bios, line-art, and sometimes unique Macross illustrations. The Macross Dictionary furoku is pretty big and the others are fairly short, 10 - 20 pages. They are usually sold by themselves and rarely sold with the coresponding magazine issue.

This recent interview with Shyamalan gives him the opportunity to explain some of the reasons behind the changes he will make to Avatar, but I don't agree with his idea of changing something just for the sake of change. Why doesn’t Shyamalan just come out and say, "The real reason there will be little humor is because I'm not a good enough writer.” Personally, I think the humor in Avatar is central and integral to the story.

I was unsure about the look of the film from the other trailers, but this almost seals it for me. I would like to see Noah Ringer's acting though. He has one line in this trailer and it sounds terrible. We've all heard that he knows martial arts, but I still havent seen him smile or goof off. I hope he doesnt ruin it, ala Jake Lloyd.

Beta Morphers would be awesome, especially if they connected to the Alpha. I also think that a Beta Super Posable fighter would be really cool. It could fit the SP's and also the MP's as an alternative for those who don't want to buy a transforming Beta. But, given the size, it would still be a rather silly price for an inordinate chuck of vinyl. I know Toynami toyed with idea of just a Beta in fighter mode, but coupled with the SP, I think it would be pretty cool. I guess overall, I just want to see more Beta toys...

Totally true, but I don't see the correlation. It is possible that they are good or benign, have been tracking Destiny, and after capturing Rush were manipulated into attacking Destiny. If this show is to be much like BSG, then I'm expecting to be surprised.

I guess it comes down to a matter of tastes. I replayed Fable on the XBOX last fall and it was pretty dated in my opinion.

Its also very possible that the aliens are good. Perhaps they were lied to and manipulated by Rush into attacking Destiny. Since we only got Rush's side of the story, we don't really know at this point.

Yes! Seika Note made these circular menko/milk cap tops for Macross also, including some giant-sized versions. I have a couple of them and I think even some doubles. I'll probably be selling some of them very soon. Supa-cheesy stuff.

Really liked this episode. I'm glad Rush came back. Turning him into some seething, hell-bent revenge villian, ala Wrath Of Khan, was going to turn out as an obvious and way predictible plot device in my book. Like the aliens also. Very un-human in all aspects except they are bipedal and apparently breath oxygen, but hey, you can't win 'em all. Usually, sci-fi aliens kick the crap out of humans when they first meet and then humans win eventually with cliches like hope, love, humanity, etc; now, it seems, the aliens might be the ones getting their butts kicked and then coming back later to kick some butt with things like unity, organization, collusion, etc... All the things the humans apparently lack... I liked that the Destiny weapons were uber-powerful too. That main cannon is huge!
