I watched Orguss back in the 80s on 3rd generation vhs copies with no subs.  I was still able to follow the overall story and become very invested in the characters by the last episode, which has a unique ending to say the least.  You’ll enjoy it.

3rd generation? What we you, in Japan?
In the 80's at my monthly anime meetings at SDSU where my mom dropped me off for the afternoon they were 6th+, and you were HAPPY  😛

and you then got to take a 7th gen home LOL

  2. The VF-0S was my first HMR purchase, I got it to support Macross for a World Wide release, primarily for the Tenjin Box art.

My biggest gripe with the HMR line (I got the GBP release as my 2nd HMR for the Tenjin art too) is that the boxes have all these vertical striations that are visible at any sort of angle and light, across the wonderful art. Its like the carboard came off a roll and has folds for bending or something weird.

Yeah that is a weird peeve to have.

  3. Unfortunately no one knows Bandai's re-release schedule.

I was surprised enough to see the Mechanic Edition coming with a VF-1S head-why not do an A so then they could be done with the Hikaru DYRL editions and have something else in the pipeline for the 1984/2024 DYRL anniversary next year.

The VF-1Ds are still frequently seen on Yahoo Japan and Mercari via Buyee for around 40k yen new which is about $280 US, plus say $40 for shipping
With the currently strong US dollar to Yen rate, that is effectively what I got mine for when they originally were released (I think mine was $260ish)
Now that does assume you have the US dollar at your disposal of course.

    Recently sold examples:

I'm currently saving up for my Mechanic Edition scalping that will happen in November for the release. With that same strong exchange rate, many sellers in Japan know this and are marking up their DXes for overseas sales opportunities.

  4. The parts are cool and all that, but I'm really more curious on the packaging
This will be the first time we've packaged a valk and super parts

Will they do the same split/folded/open box type like the GBP, or will they do something crazier...like the old school Bandai strike, and go side by side

  5. there is something going on there that might allow a rotation...maybe it has a ball joint pivot there at the tip of the intake, and the display model just wasn't configured

  6. I am curious if they are only going to make the right-side tailfin removeable, or if they will do both like the angel birds.

This removable feature will come in handy down the road if they ever come out with a VT-1
They could have the normal size for the Fighter, then the anime-magic version with the Fast Packs
I never liked the Yamato shorted versions too much.

  7. what about this part?...check out that LAST LINE (bold)

Does this mean they are actually adding in a separate individual RIGHT TAIL FIN(removable like the Angel Bird) with the reversed numbering? It can't translate to that, right?

  8. I see it says

which google translates puts as this, so seems like we get normal AND clear parts this round.

Strike Valkyrie that reproduces the internal mechanism of admiration appears!
The VF-1S Strike Valkyrie driven by the main character Hikaru Ichijo in the movie version "Macross: Do You Remember Love" is a lineup with special specifications unique to Tamashii Nation!
Strike parts, which are the biggest highlight, reproduce the internal mechanism of the legs and back FAST pack.
Also pay attention to the coloring that makes you feel the material of each part, including the gold that imaged titanium.
Two types of removable cover parts, a clear version and a play version, are included.
Whether you enjoy it as a museum model or as an action figure immersed in the world of the movie version, it is a truly memorial item with two-way x three-stage deformation.
