  1. I am sorry, i don't get how the MP-10 looks "old", now. I am on board with a new OP mold, but i am not going to down on the old one. I know it is not perfect, but you can't say it hasn't aged well. It is perhaps the most copied version, for a reason.

Well, no money for the VT-1 at this time, but I am happy to see these amazing pictures! Thanks guys! I know there is a color difference, but I still think it looks amazing. BTW SH9000, I can’t get enough of the brownies formation flights. Really cool collections and pictures everyone!
  5. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Details like these make collections truly great. When you can have a sense on scale with same scale "real world" vehicles, and figures. I wish Macross would do things like this. I think it makes any collection better.
  6. i wish i had a shot of creating art for these boxes.
  7. Mazinger Z clearly did too many steroids. What is that Vader thing on the right? edit in: Ooops, i see Hot Toys now, wow Congrats on the purchase, all cool stuff!
  8. Wow, you guys rock! Ha, apparently [i need to confirm] 4 of my valks according to this list are safe. It seems my 1J Hikaru tv [my fav valk ever] is shoulder hinge challenged. This is a relief, but i must buy Shapeways' replacement hinges for it. I need to find the box where i stored them now.
  9. I got The 1/60 V2 Tv Hikaru, Tv Max 1A, tv Kakizake, the 1D, and a newer tv Roy. I’m sure at least the first 4 I listed have the evil shoulder hinges. Either I sell them all, or get shoulder hinges for all 4 of them. I know it was due to the pin being a hair bigger than the inner diameter of the hinge itself. Has anyone done this hinge replacement here? If so, how much of a pita is it?
  10. Oh, I am sorry, I had the impression the 1/60 yamato had shoulder hinge problems. As far as i know the earlier versions were more prone to it. I like the 1/60 V2, for the most part, and it is the best representation of all VF-1 so far. The only part i dislike is the tall collar on bot mode. As I dislike the low hanging arms in the 1/48, and the ScaryMovie butler hands. https://www.shapeways.com/product/DV3KRQCTN/kanzen-henkei-1-60-scale-fighter-variable-hinge?optionId=3675956&li=marketplace
  11. No modification other than replacing the shoulders, right? This is the reason i have yet to open any of my V2 1/60.

  14. You all know i’ve been an eternal 1/48 lover. I only have 5 1/60 ver 2, I have never even opened. I might sell 4 of them and keep the 1D. Honestly, I think the head on the 1/60 sits a bit too tall in bot mode. (I still have the very old 1/60 ver 1, but I doubt anyone would buy those today. i wish someone would create/print 3D 1/48 scale hands that fit in the forearm compartment. So the chicken hands issue is fixed.
  15. I'm sorry, I was just kidding...
  16. Order cancelled
  17. please don't tell me you have swap canopies...
  18. LOL, i still have some of my ver 1 1/60 Yammies. I think the planes look alright, specially the Elint, and Trainers. They are 1/60 scale too, so i kept them. I am not a fan of parts forming either, and i don't consider Bandai's 1/48 to be parts forming. I wish it was exactly as Kawamori envisioned it, but this is a close as it gets. It is a logical solution to an eternal problem.
  19. We still don't know how well this toy can handle. I don't see why a detachable bar won't "handle well" My only concern there, is if It would make this toy less durable. All we can do is wait for bandai, and see if they engineered this well, or not.
  20. ^ 'zactly ^
  21. It is always easier for a big company to this sort of thing. A small company like Yamato and Arcadia won't have the resources to do this at a good cost, IMHO.
  22. Why can’t people remember that this is the closest way to how Kawamori envisioned it...
  23. For some reason the 1J will always be my favorite. I really love the 1S, and the others, specially the TV versions. I hope Bandai goes through the TV versions first. Yes, I'd still get the movie versions, but TV was my first love.
  24. Good diagram there Xigfrid. I hope Bandai can make a fun, slightly durable 1/48 as Yamato did. It is still by far, my favorite Macross item.
