Here's some pis of this really cool F-22 Raptor variant I saw in Popular Science. I'm getting my 3D model closer to being cut out on a CNC machine. Do you think 1/32nd scale would catch some attention?

That's really good. A few things though: I'm pretty sure the F/B-22 is suposed to be a two seater. You might also want to work on the intake bulges, they're supposed to be based on the F-35's so you might want to look at some pictures of that to get the look right. Otherwise that looks just about right on.

X-44 is "test of concept", FB-22 would be the real thing.

And I'd rather have a 1/32 YF-23, for it looks cooler and actually flew. :)

Looks like I'll have to do the YF-23 next along with the A-12A Avenger II and Monogram's F-19 Stealth Plane from the 90's.

THe X-44 is a modified F-22 designed to test the concept controling an aircraft using only thrust vectoring (it will have no other moveable controlls). The FB-22 is a tailess F-22 derivative but it will maintain it's directional stability with B-2 style "dragerons" (though thrust vectoring may have a role to play similar to Boeings X-45 UCAV).

How about an FB-23... sort of...

It's got an Su-34's gear, quite distinctive. Makes a lot of sense to use that style, the modeler certainly knows his planes.
