geecie30 Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Why is the yamato 1/60 going for $124 dollars from dealers but on ebay you can get them for $69 using pay now? are these different quality?
Drad Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Because the ones for $69 are from Hong Kong sellers who get their stock "leaked" from the factory. Same exact products, just cheaper because the sellers aren't paying much for them.. if at all. Welcome to the dark side of toy sales.
BoBe-Patt Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 not only that, but the shipping will even out the prices. Usually the shipping from Hong Kong is like 20+ bucks. So the cheapest you'll probably get a q-rau online is about 90 bucks shipped.
hirohawa Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 Still a $30 saving. If I get one of these I am going with a leaked HK connection as I think $124 is too much for these. Anyone here get a $69 Q-Rau from HK?
Britai 7018 Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I've bought some cheaper Yamato toys off of eBay, but I try and buy some toys from dealers just to support them. They've been valuable contributors to the site in terms of news and getting us thigns that aren't normally available to the U.S.
baronv Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I bought a Q-Rauf off eBay from an HK dealer who sells as "gogokit". I got it at a total price of $94.90 shipped. Item came fast and in good condition.
Guppy Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 Is the price also dropping due to the raus not flying off the shelves because of the original high price? I wish I waited.. would have saved 20-30 bucks.
Neova Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 Guppy, Drad summed it up. I posted about this when the Q-Rau first went onto the market. First time I've seen a Yamato Macross product dumped but at least now, we can offer better pricing.
