THe one with has Takumi inside and the one without has Bunta. I got the Bunta one. The hood opens to reveal engine and there is tofu in the trunk
Solscud007 Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 Quite detailed. Hand on stick and cup of water in cup holder near dash
Solscud007 Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 and here is the engine. Wheels do not roll but as a colelctionpiece its kinda cool. Plus there arent that many Bunta stuff. Oh the other toys is a infared motion device. as you walk past it activates. it is a section of a hairpin apex. and the trueno is on it and it drifts and makes drifting sounds. there is also a mini driving simulator. it is a box with the driving wheel and dash at one end. at the top is a depiction of a street with the trueno ontop. and you can turn the wheel to make the car slide back and forth.
Mellow Yellow Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Wow, that's quite detailed, thanks for the pics . I'm still waiting for my Project D Bit Char-G set to arrive, I just had to wait a couple years for the price to come down lol.

glane21 Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I wonder if this show has pumped up the resale value of 1986 Corolla GTS hatchbacks in the states...
yellowlightman Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I wonder if this show has pumped up the resale value of 1986 Corolla GTS hatchbacks in the states... Between Initial D and the whole drifting scene, prices for the Corolla GTS are crazy. Hard to find a decent one for under $4k. It's a good car, but not worth that much. Especially since you can buy a first generation MR2 which has the same chassis, same engine and handles much better for a lot less. Same thing with 240sx's, their resale prices are beginning to rise.
Commander McBride Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I wonder if this show has pumped up the resale value of 1986 Corolla GTS hatchbacks in the states... Ohhhhhh yeahhh. Couple years ago, an AE86 Corolla GTS, hatch or coupe, went for under a grand. Those same cars are now selling in the neighborhood of five grand....
Commander McBride Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 (edited) Same thing with 240sx's, their resale prices are beginning to rise. So true. I got a good deal on my S14, but I only got it a bit over a month ago and I'd been looking since September to find a good price. Edited April 26, 2004 by Commander McBride
areaseven Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Hey Solscud007, are you gonna get the Initial D tissue holders as well?
Solscud007 Posted April 26, 2004 Author Posted April 26, 2004 Yeah I saw those online I think thats quite cute and clever.
areaseven Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 NeoType Station in Chinatown has both AE86 (well, at least one left, last time I checked) and FD3S models. I'll wait until they make an FC3S or EVO3.
Hoptimus Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Hey thats nifty. Yeah AE86 is way overprced in the used market now.
Solscud007 Posted May 28, 2004 Author Posted May 28, 2004 Havent been to Steves store in ages. But I picked thist up in Japan Town during my visit to SF. I got the tissue box but thought the Trueno was a tad too small for the street it was drifting on. Plus I can have bunta driving hehe.
