akt_m Posted March 1, 2004 Posted March 1, 2004 i bought samurai-x manga from volume 1 to the end of shishio saga and i saw this character in one of the later volumes. his name is enishi(i think it is) and he sure looks like a lot with nekki basara, did the author have some inspiration on macross 7?
azrael Posted March 1, 2004 Posted March 1, 2004 Ahhh, Enshi....The answer is no. It's one of those freak coincidences. Nobuhiro Watsuki or Kawamori was asked this at a convention (forgot which one) and the answer was, it was a coincidence.

However, due to Watsuki's tendence to borrow elements from everywhere for his designs (mostly american comics), I wouldn't consider it entirely an accident. Anyway, Basara might had not been the best good guy, but DAMN if he makes a hell of a villian
