Valkyrie Hunter D Posted February 10, 2004 Share Posted February 10, 2004 Just picked this PS2 game up two days ago, and its simply awesome for R-type and shooter fans alike. It was quite a surprise, I didn't even know it had already hit the store shelves. The dynamic 3-d backgrounds and the PS2's graphical boost make this game look even better than R-Type Delta, and with supposedly over a hundred ships to unlock, it'll satisfy my shooter fix for a while. I haven't unlocked it yet, but the intro shows a R-9 that actually transforms into one of the more familiar enemies of the series; a slow, ALIEN-looking type of mech. There are still some other game modes I have to explore, but my only gripe would have to be the slowdown. Anyways, I thought I'd pass this down to anyone else who be out of the gaming loop as I have.
