nostromorolls Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 Well this day has been GREAT!!! Been a very long time since I have had the chance to spend the entire day in the workshop...like over a year comes to mind... The following shots are of the display base to go with the VT. These kits are great, HOWEVER - Standing on their own is sometimes an issue!!! So base it shall be!!! more to follow as the build continues! Good night all!
nostromorolls Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Just some more Ground Debris to add and the painting of the base can begin...
PetarB Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Beautiful work. For me there's little more satisfying in modelling as when you finally - finally - pull the masking tape off a complex masking job. I once had a model in masking for a couple of weeks. Every two days I would be adding more panels, removing part, then masking again just to spray another tint... and finally, finally be able to remove everything was a blessed relief.
McFly!! Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 awesome work, man! the first pics look a lot like your old dorvak =) i'd be interested to see your pics of the masking process, if it's not too much trouble
