blackjek Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 hi there, just got my 1/48 vf-1j w fp. love it lots. got a question thou. wats the plastic piece packaged in front of the pilot used for??
kensei Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 If you read the manual, it's an extra support piece for your valk when the FAST packs are attached in Battroid mode. It cannot be used in fighter or GERWALK mode. It fits in behind the back of the neck, helping to hold the backpack upright in Battroid mode.
Chindenathus Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 Beat me to it. On mine it is a godsend in Battloid with all the war-gear on. At least Yamato realized the engineering issue before relasing the FP parts. Rubber bands do not look good on the 1/48.
Chowser Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 go here for pics, on page 3 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...f=4&t=972&st=40 also here http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=3878
ComicKaze Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Strangely, I don't need this part at all. There is absoletely no tension on it, meaning that it is not carrying any weight or supporting anything. It just falls out when the Valk is turned upside down. The fast-packs are megatight without them. VF-1S Hikaru improvement?
