I recently purchased the Blu-Ray box sets for FMP and FMP:TSR to replace my older ADV dvds. I had forgotten how, even though slightly, the character models where noticably different. I know GONZO animated the first series while Kyoto Animation animted the second. Does anyone know the reason for the switch?

The answer to that question is simple.

Ok, that didn't really make sense. I was wondering more along the lines of, if it was a financial thing or licensing thing.

Kyoto Animation also did the third too :).

About why they switched studios, no one knows, but I don't think it was supposed to be made a big deal of. They just switched, that's it. Publisher probably wanted to experiment with a different studio or KyoAni probably offered a better deal for their work...

Or gonzo just sucked.

:p

Kyoani is leaps and bounds better than Gonzo.
