Valkyrie Driver Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 I just bought a bandai vf25 1/100 scale toy, it's in the mail, so I don't have it yet. I just wanted to know what I got myself into. I just saw a transformation guide video thet shows it being a part-former, which isn't a huge deal for me, I have two vf-1's that are kinda that way. Have there been any problems with them or are they a pretty solid toy? It looks cool, which is what counts I guess, after all it's just gonna guard my desk. regult Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 solid? no, legs don't hold position in fighter mode, and crotch articulation is quite lose in battroid mode. Gerwalk (VF-25F) is almost impossible to stand on it's own legs. mine was bluetac'ed in fighter mode for a while, and I have all 3 versions released! Careful: the -G has a 1/72 scale gun... Valkyrie Driver Posted January 6, 2010 Author Share Posted January 6, 2010 The Mecha from Macross Frontier was pretty cool, I liked the lines of the VF-25 and wanted a version of it, So if it looks good, I guess I don't mind, but it would have been nice to have a genuine transformer. As I said though I have two VF-1's (A&S) that are similar (interchanging hands, bracketry for mounting the gun pod) so I'm used to copious quantities of kibble. However the modes all look great, so there's the trade off. I've been pretty happy with all my purchases thus far, though my favorite has to be my Zero. I have to agree, this was my least satisfying vf purchase. It has LOADS of parts, my gun is warped into a banana and the hips are all jammed up in batroid mode. The 1/72 kit is wa'aay nicer.
