Not really episode 11 features Basara and Mylene type cast into the roles of Hikaru and Minmay.

Making a TV movie. Guess the story gets rehashed every other decade like the in universe version of DYRL. Like Frontier's Triangular a hip teen drama about the original love triangle.

Which has differences mind you as in the episode they've shown a DYRL-esque wedding scene of Max and Millia in Meltran dress. And a new dogfight scene.

But these are very brief.

Also note that the guy who was supposed to replace Basara as Hikaru, the creep named Bobby, who tried to date rape Mylene is voiced by Arihiro Hase.(What is with this girl's luck being around rapists? First this guy then her lesbian manager in Dynamite 7.)

Arihiro Hase is the voice of Hikaru in SDFM.

Can't remember which episode it was (probably the DYRL remake with Basara and Mylene) they showed scenes that they would have liked to have had in DYRL but never animated, like Max and Miria's wedding, and the signing of a peace treaty or something like that.
