VFTF1 Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Well, I was wondering about making a "Best Anime of all Time" thread - but I see this exists. It's not the same, because I was thinking not of 25 (way too easy to throw in lots of great anime in that list), but just ONE. So - since this thread has been dead for five years, I'd like to re-animate it (ha ha, see that great pun...ow! stop throwing tomatos!)... but with a twist: Rather than talk about the best 25 anime of all time, let's talk about the best anime EVER. PERIOD. I don't blame this thread for asking for the best 25 - that was back in the days when you could plausibly argue that many different anime existed to contend for the title of "best." But now, we have Gurren Lagann - which is clearly the winner and deserves to be the Best Anime Ever. Macross in its' various incarnations is a close second. But nothing tops Gurren Lagann.
