  2. Hi All, Here's the completed build. It's the CAG bird of the (doubly) fictitious Sundowner squadron based out of the SDF-18. I went to great lengths to make the markings as authentic as possible as I could not find any decal sheets. I must thank Mark Wright for sending me an f-14 sheet, which sadly had deteriorated, but was very helpful in cutting my own masks and as guide for real decal placement! The serial number is the first part of the number and the '15' at the end represents the roll-out year, 2015. The weapons are in fact plumb and level to the plane although they look a little off kilter due to the angle is some of the pics, lol. The asymmetrical loadout is out of the Master File. There's also a couple of silvered decals I couldn't quite melt despite poking and soaking several times! Anyone have any other tricks? The kit really did have thick panel lines, but whatcha gonna do. I initially wanted to scratch build the VF-4 gunpod but then I didn't bother; I do enjoy the look of the GU-11 and I added brass barrels to it. The AN/ALQ-184 (Short) ECM Pod is a resin one from Brassin. I made up the pylon for it and the GU-11 from the spares bin. Someday I'll learn how to photoshop out the brass mounting rod, but pretty happy to have this one done as it has been a 'grail' design for me. Thanks for looking.

  4. It appears that on the timeline, by 2016 AD, the Megaroad-01, shortly after colonizing Eden, it has lost communication after getting closer to the centre of the Milky Way galaxy. We all know that there's a supermassive black hole right there, and if they veered too close to there, everyone on board, as well as their escorts were fatally sucked in for good. Or a separate Zentradi group, different than those that threatened the human race 8 years ago, had engaged into a surprise attack in which no VF could ever withstand (Megaroad's no battleship of its own!) Now the question is, how did the Megaroad-01 disappear from existence? Vote it here!
  5. I watched DYRL and just finished SDF. SDF was great! Question is what should I watch next? (and any ideas where I can watch for free would be great too)
  6. Seeing as it's the end of 2012, I wanted a Megaroad cover on my Facebook. Going through what was on Google, I happened to find a nice lineart version of the ship and decided to use it to recreate the poster instead of using the low quality screencaps for the fun of it. The whole thing is comprised of web found images (the starfield and earth being three separate images). I tried to get it as close as possible without going crazy over minutia. Thought I'd share it here for anyone interested. I'm no master photo editor, but I've made a few sigs from time to time. The fonts are as close as I could find. The bottom white text is missing since I just can't make out what most of it says (outside of the last line, being another bit taken from the crawl of Star Wars). If anyone can clear that up, I'd be most appreciative. Here's one without the obvious Star Wars reference: .mkv_snapshot_26.17_[2012.12.31_01.55.53] V2.png] Here's one using the original Earth I started with. I replaced it with the current since it's closer to what is in the film. The original .mkv_snapshot_26.17_[2012.12.31_01.55.53].jpg]
