  1. I just realized that the hip bar release video wasn't even posted in this thread. Yamato noticed people had trouble with it so they posted their own video on their website. That's the way I do it and comes out easy. Hip Bar release Video
  2. I last ordered from them at the end of July. Even if it took a month, I'm in no hurry to get the toy so long as I know it's coming.
  3. The v1 were made back in 2001/2002 and I doubt they are still making them anymore so there's probably no chance of you buying it new. You'll only come across them if you buy from ebay. Even then, if they are selling a v2 it will probably say so. The v2s just came out in July and I can't see why anyone would sell theirs off so soon unless they broke something. V2 box v1 box notice that the v2 box has a lift up flap so that you can see inside and the v1 doesn't. As for the toy itself, you're gonna need someone with both to take some pics.
  4. The v2 1/60 is just what we call it, but it's really an entirely new toy from the old 1/60s because the v2s are able to transform without having to remove any parts as opposed to the v1 where you had to remove to legs during transformation. Because it's a new toy it is listed differently than the old ones.
  5. Is your vf-0 figure missing some missiles? Maybe it's like toy story and the toys are fighting while you're at work.
  6. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/V...-1S_review.html http://anymoon.com/blog/2008/08/04/yamato-...rike/#more-2314 Here's Graham's and I think Jenius' reviews of the new v2 roy valkyrie.
  7. If you do order from HLJ, I suggest going for the SAL shipping. $20 for shipping from Japan to the west coast for me only took 10 days. $20 to Louisiana is way worth it considering the distance and maybe an extra week to get there. For me, I've never seen the point of paying double to get something in like 48 hours. I can always use the savings on my next purchase.
  8. Looking for a roy valk with fast packs? Well you're in luck since the new v2 1/60 just came out. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00078 I just bought him as my first valk and it's great. As for second hand, I've never bought anything from ebay so maybe more veteran posters will be able to help.
  9. It's just the lighting. The photos in the japanese site were in a super bright environment. On an unrelated note, I just noticed that the 1A and 1J have a red circle on their backpack that's missing on the 1S. I checked my sticker sheet and there isn't a yellow circle to be found.
  10. I don't think its possible to get the first ankle position while pulling out since it takes so much force, but I do hear two clicks every time I push them back in. My visual cue for the wings is to line up the back with a black line that's on the back of the legs.
  11. I recommend never hooking the backpack to the back plate. Once you hook it, the bump will always come in contact with the edge of the fin. The backpack hinge is tight enough so that it won't flop down anyway. edit: gah, just put on the super pack and the clip forces the fins to rub against the bump. Gonna leave them off until someone can find a way around it. I'm starting to see scratches on the edge of the black part of the shoulders. They keep coming in contact with the back of the chestplate when I move the arms around or rub against each other when I taking them out from fighter mode.It seems that the paint there is different and more fragile than those used on the rest of the valk.
  12. I agree with you on the boosters, they make the nice sleek battroid look clunky. I'd buy a vf-0 standalone if it wasn't so expensive. I realize it's a bigger toy but it's still more than the new strike vf-1.
  13. HLJ just listed the shin VF-0A with ghost boosters as a restock.
  14. Be careful about pushing too much on the backpack when you have it folded for battroid and gerwalk. There's a little bump that sticks out that scratched a bit of my black coloring off my fin when I was hooking it to the back of the battroid.
  15. I just transformed it back to fighter for the first time. The guy in the video seemed to use some force to get it out. For me, for me it pretty much slid out with little resistance.
  16. The Yamato site says August 26th for the 1A with fast pack and september for the standalone 1A and tomahawk.
  17. I wish that the gunpod UN Spacy wasn't upside down when he's looking and aiming to the left. I don't like posing it the other way since the strike cannon blocks the view of his head when its over his shoulder.
  18. Here's a pic of my tailfin skulls. The right fin has a little double printing on the left jaw area.
  19. I broke that exact same piece when I tried to fold the fin without pull it out first. If you try to glue it back on, you'll never be able to open the leg landing gears without the door breaking it off again. Also watch out for the kind of glue you use. I used some sort of clear plastic cement that my brother had lying around and the yellow paint started coming off on my fingers.
  20. Are you trying to remove the nose to get to the radar thing or remove the cockpit fuselage to look like he ejected? You should clarify before you start pulling it apart.
  21. So forcing that shoulder over the little locking tab is actually the right way? I didn't think it was the right way when I tried since the plastic doesn't seem to want to bend that way.
  22. One of the landing gear doors on the leg fin puts pressure on the yellow part of the leg fin when you open it. It broke off the tailfin part that I glued back earlier.
  23. Any warning you have on the feet? Because they really aren't coming out and I think I'm gonna break the legs trying to pry them out. Kinda sucks having a battroid that can stand up.
  24. I voted the not perfect not broken option. The skull on the right tailfin seems to be double printed so theres like a blurred effect. Even though I broke the leg fin on my own, I sorta blame the manual since it literally covers every movable part on the thing except that.
  25. edit: figured out how to get the shoulders over the tab thing to lock them, but that seems such an easy way to break them. I've also been pulling pretty hard on the foot thrusters to come out and they aren't. Are they supposed to just slide out really easily. Now I thought maybe one foot was tight, but both aren't coming out.
