Hmm... 13 negative votes on this episode already? More than episode 20 too. I know this episode wasn't the best in the series but its not as bad as episode 8. Looks like we got trolls here.

Well, we'll never know really until we see it til the end. Who knows it might turn out better than we expect. Kawamori has surprised us before and he probably will again. I think the reason why some of us don't think it will end well within 4 episodes is because of several unanswered questions in the series within a short timespan. I believe that those questions will be answered in the last 4 episodes, at least the major ones. I won't expect all of them to be answered and some will be left open intentionally (maybe to be answered in a special OAV or movie).

I'm not entirely convinced that the last episode will be 25 despite that magazine displayed it as "final". Wasn't it stated before that the final episode would be aired on Oct. 16? Either that magazine is at error or we mistook the series ending in October. I just hope its the former than the latter.

Well for me it doesn't matter who Alto chooses as long as the ending won't be open-ended. Ranka finally realizing her true connection with the Vajra proved to be a painful blow for her. She would only put Frontier to harm if she stayed. At least for once she decided to do something on her own will.

There won't be a second season. Macross hasn't been known for making more than 1 season for TV series and Studio Nue would have announced it by now if there would be. Even 7 which had 50+ episodes was only 1 season. They may however make OAVs and movies for Frontier like 7 but I seriously doubt it would have anything to do with fighting Vajra.

This episode didn't have much of an impact but it was still good. Probably cos Michel's death ate much of the drama in 20. Super pack Klan was fun to watch but it felt weird and had very little screen time. Couldn't she have entered her Queadlunn-Rea instead like she did later in the episode? Klan also had one line er word in this entire episode too. Seeing the pic in Michel's helm really made me feel sorry for Klan again. Overall it was good but not impressive. Anyway, the last 1/4 of the series remains and I hope Grace and Leon will finally reveal their master plan. Hopefully Macross Galaxy will show its ugly face again since episode 15.

I go for subs any day. I've watched some good english dubs but they still fell short of the original japanese one. The only anime I've watched IMO where the dub has matched the original is Cowboy Bebop.

Only GG has so far it seems. Checking the poll, the number negative votes is 10? That's more than the other episodes in this series. I understand that this was the death of one the best supporting characters in the series. But I find it kinda suspicious that there more people disliking this particular episode than the rest.

Though its not impossible of Michel surviving by some miracle its really very improbable. Although we know that SK has screwed us before with false death flags in this series its very anti-climactic and cheesy if he lived through it even with the most plausible of alibis. Personally if SK wanted him to live then he wouldn't have place him in a death scene at all. IMO the reason for his death was to drive Alto (perhaps even Klan) to the edge. I don't think having any other character die wouldn't have as much impact on Alto than Michel. Despite their differences he's probably Alto's closest male friend. @brouken I knew it. I'll send him a PM to say hi. I haven't seen the guy in a long while.

Reminds me of a friend of mine back in my college days when I was in UP Fine Arts. He's a cool artist and he made an impressive gundam costume from scratch. You wouldn't happen to know him by chance?

I noticed in that pic ranka is in a red/pink hue while sheryl is in green hue. The rest of the opening was reverse. "Bug" perhaps?

Personally, I also think Michel has a good chance of dying in the next episode or so. A subtle death flag in episode 19 was during their conversation while stunt flying when Michel said "We're a team". Not obvious at first but that statement of unity may prove to be his downfall. Since there will be a Vajra attack next episode and Michel in a battle type ex-gear I wouldn't be surprise if he bit the dust though I'd feel sorry for Klan. Unless of course that's what Kawamori wants us to think...

This is a pleasant surprise. First time GG was the first to release the sub of MF. I wonder what happened to Kei. I watched the raw and I really like this episode. It developed Ozma a lot and showed how much more badass he really is compared to the other skulls and even NUNS. The brief fight between he and Brera seemed to portray who was the better older brother but ended in a draw. I was half-expecting him to die during the battle but and I thought he got through when he was watching Ranka's concert. Kawamori knew how to tease the old fans when Ozma was bleeding hard. Fortunately he lived and surpassed the pineapple salad curse.
