  1. WHoa... 1. I wouldnt buy those valks in those colors. Angel birds were great IMHO but those... someone was smoking some serious weed. <_< 2. The babe in your avator is just gorgeous. If there are more, I am waiting for more pictures of them rather than the valk. 3. If they are serously making some LV (ghost gray I hope) YF-19s, I will buy 12 of them. :D

  2. Oh I got mine today... man it is like xmas. I got my wave SDF-1, dell laptop, and now this. This thing is sweet. Unforunately the price was like $130 and I bought the last one on BBTS. Good lord, this thing is a hefty robot. I like it. It is just plain awesome. It was definitely worth the money IMHO. I know most complain about the price but picking up this bad boy, I know it is good quality. I am just pissed that it only one Ingram instead of two but seems like CMs is milking it. Looks like I will get 2 more to make a complete set. If the make a Zero, I will get two. I will get the Griffin and Helldiver as well if they make it. I am definitely want the command car that are coming out as well. (Figures I can care less). If this is how CMs entering this market, I am having high expectations for the legioss and tread... toynami be damned.

  3. Awww man, there goes the neighborhood on my investment. And I was soo hoping to sell my M&M sets on ebay... ;) Um yeah right. Good to see they rerelease these but I am not getting them. My house is already gonna kill me plus I already have enough M&Ms from the first batch.

  4. My only worry about going for the Nvidia 8-series is the compatibility with autocad, I didn't find out until after the fact that my current video card is no ACAD compatible. That is something I want to avoid running into again, so I have been checking the video cards against the ACAD compatibility chart, and it does not list the 8-series yet.

Newer models shouldnt be a problem. The 8 series are compatible with the ACAD 2008 (coming out in April) IIRC. Also ACAD2008 will have 64-bit option as well. So if you have a 64-bit O/S, you can install it. I can tell you however, when the testing is going on, previous ACAD versions are used in the system testing for the upcoming ACAD release. I dunno if you are going to get the new ACAD 2008 or not as they are expensive as hell.

  5. My "toy Dealer" here in SHG called me today and I got one of this CM's Labors.

I wasn't so sure at the beginning, the pictures I saw where not "especially nice" and I am not a Die hard fan of Patlabor, but I am totally happy with my purchase.

Main thing I found is the size; it is actually a bit small so many of the problems I saw on the pics are not that bad. In fact it is a damn cool robotoooo, not big-not small, nice sculpt, paint is very well applied, nice poseability and very heavy for its size, nice tampoo printings (Yamato… <_< ).

I was surprised with the lights, usually I don’t like much battery operated mechas, they normally look stupid, but they are in fact a great addition to the toy, they look like real sirens.

What I mostly disliked from the pics where the cloth and the screws, it is not like I "like them now" but they don't bother me as much as I tough.

The best part is I paid only 700 RMBs which is like 88 USD... ... so I am happy with this toy.

I was positively surprised CM’s can deliver such nice toy, good to see new players different in this small market of “high end die cast MEcha toysâ€.

    Hey Sebastian,

I am coming to Shanghai again in April-May time frame. Your supplier have more of the Patlabors? I just bought a house and funds will be low. This maybe my last purchase in a while unless I sell those MPCs.

  6. I have a funny feeling since they're showing the Beta again *and* promoting SC Alphas, we're going to see a Beta, but in SC colors to get those of us who already bought Alphas to buy another one to match the coloring of the Beta.

If they do that, they (toynami)can kiss my @$$. I bought 4 scott's in anticipation of the the Tread plus two of each of the rest. I am really debating on selling my MPCs since CMs is making the new legioss-tread.

  7. It's a little set of swap parts, head, front of the shoulders (for the machine ID numbers) and pilot figure with some extra little touches like license plates and Alphonses name badge added with stickers.

You also get plenty of weapons and a nice big stand modelled on the mobile carrier from the show.

Well hell, that is like the destroid conversion kit. I wanted two patlabors not one to switch parts around. That is very upsetting. Means I need to buy two (or three) to get the TV version and 3 movie versions. WTF? And they aint cheap here.

  8. wow, that cheap? I'll buy it if it's that cheap!^_^

I am buying this. BBTS has them for pretty expensive ($130). HLJ is the cheapest. I havent seen it on Tamin's site. I guess when I will go to Shanghai in April and see how much they are.

  9. I am very pleased. I for one will mot scrutinize the sculpt as anything, even someting as shoddy as a Transformer Bootleg is better than a Toynami Product. I do fear that the price will probably be around $250+ if you look at the pricing of a non transforming mecha from Patlabor is at around $130.

However I believe it is worth it. An MPC Alpha alone was at retail, $80. so another $170 for a Beta? sure why not?

I am hoping it will be about MPC size. but given the size of CMs past toys they are a bit smaller. so I think this will be rather small.

I wonder if I could salvage the Toynami box and get rid of thier alphas. hmmmm.

  10. G-Man Would be Graham. And he is Married.

Godzila is in love with toys and computer thingies, there is no space or time for womans and that is why he dont like hearing all this MW members who like to cry, complain and argue like girls.

    G-man = Graham

Godzilla, Zilla, God (ok maybe a stretch :D ) = Greg (me)

Keyword you seem to all miss is TRYING to date this girl. Have I been successful? The way everything is going from my work to my posting on these threads, probably not .

Still I dont see the point of this thread. So you rant about the prices. It lead to finger pointing from Yamato to the dealers to the conspiracy that it was corporate greed to blame it on >Exo< (j/k >Exo<). I mean I tried to set everyone up from Jason, then he was telling me stories about ppl dictating this that and wanting the perfect damn box for MISB to some ppl playing between other dealers and some ppl wigging out of their orders (not mentioning names). And some ppl complained about his latter prices for a little too high. This is fustrating as I have seen both sides of the coin: Some dealers gouge us and some of us collectors seems to be too demanding for something so above and beyond perfect that a little scratch on box of yammie was something to cry foul about. I know some ppl would not be so happy but I didnt expect to see a mob that was so upset that they were ready to get the torches and pitchforks and start hanging anyone who was against them whether it was dealers, yamato "defenders", and yamato execs. (You can hang >Exo< j/k  )

I guess to keep this thread on track, maybe we need to answer some questions rather than openly say we are being gouged, let's gripe. Maybe we should try this approach: My question to everyone, why do a preorder? If you feel the price is to high, then wait for the prices to dip. I have seen some yammies prices dip. Is there a mentality they this will be a LV1 syndrome if you do not preorder? LV1 mentality means ppl will miss the boat where they didnt preorder and the prices went up to buy later? Better question would be how much should you feel you should pay for the yammies? I mean reasonble pricing not "I'll buy that for a $1" or anything being obnoxiously low. Just a thought here...
