  1. All I gotta say is that Episode 7 has finally got exciting. Granted it was mecha p0rn all the way, it was by far the most noteworthy episodeto me. All episodes prior were completely mundane and remiscencent to Macross SDF. Dont get me wrong, I love Macross SDF but when I see the same formula used, I roll my eyes. Couldnt we just get a different formula? This love triangle thing was bothering me from the start. Thank god for episode 7 or I woulda dropped this series altogether. In ep 1, gee the end of it was like Ep2 of Macross SDF. And dont get me started on ep3 where Alto was grabbing Ranka using the valk's arms and then arm is blown off. Gee, can we say Ep3 of Macross SDF? Then we have Ranka looking to be a star... Can we say Minmay 2? Then Alto, Ranka, and Sheryl... like we need another damn love triangle? And of all male characters, Alto gets to land in the middle of those 2? WTF

Episode 7 caught my attention till the end where we see the Macross Quarter perform like a Valk: Absolutely fantastic. The Monster pilot said she was coming in for a landing, the response was: be gentle. This episode got battles, valks, destroids, and one friggin badasstic Macross quarter with a crazy driver behind the helm of it.

I am not liking the main character, Alto at all. Alto is now really pissing me off. He has become the character I dislike the most. He is a bumbling idiot. Even more so than Hikaru. And of course, in the end he will end up with Ranka. So far he has 2 valks totalled so he is an insurance liability. My bet is that he will get Ranka and dump Sheryl instead of my wish getting blown up or captured and tortured.

On the other hand, Michel is one badass sniper in the VF-25. He was providing cover when they were attacking was just frakingawesome. If they make toy of his valk, I am all over it. He is awesome and rapidly becoming my fav character in Macross F. He at least tries to talk some sense into Ranka. In a way he made his point correctly to Ranka. Ranka should thank Michel for pushing her to sing in public in the Zentradi Mall, not Alto.

Anyways, I will continue watching Macross F even as I suspect the next episode will be less than exciting as it will be more about Alto, Ranka, and Sheryl.

  2. As much as I want to see it, I cannot afford to go to the con this year. However, I am interested if Yamato will buy into this so they can produce and release these babies for public consumption.

  3. all of the Target exclusive vehicles were fully stocked locally; the odd thing, is they weren't in the toy section, it was near the cashiers along with the new Star Wars Order 66 two packs on end cap display racks.

I noticed that in 2 Targets I have been to. I scooped up 2x of each.

  4. Yep. I got excited when I saw a post from him in this section because I thought it was "THE" collection only to click and be teased. The Ballchinian Bretheren don't take lightly to teasing Godzilla!

    oo

The rest of the collection are in boxes... still. Need to buy more display cases.

  5. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the 4th photo with the valks lined up. Just splendid good sir! :D

Splendiferous even! *gasp!* Finally get to see some of your stuff, i'm impressed with your displaying skills.

You'd have to have like... another 50 cabinets to show off all your valks though lol.

So what will you do when the 1/60 Destroids come out? Gonna geta couple? I do like your Destroid Tomohawk line up there..

Thanks. Yes I need more cabinets. :) I will get many 1/60 tomahawk destroids though I need to limit my numbers. We will see.

  6. Well, I hope they do take this design and make it for the 1/48s. I am not keen on the new releases of the 1/60s. I like to keep the same scale but those destroids are coming. Still I rather go 1/48 on the VF-1 series... Whichever, good luck to you NB4M. I hope they consider it.

  7. I think the problem with the 1/60 Q-rau was balance. It's a tall mecha with a huge hump on it's back, so it's relatively narrow feet wouldn't allow much in the way of poses. The 1/60 Tomahawk is shorter than a 1/60 VF-1 and has pretty big feet, so it shouldn't have any balance issues. However, by it's nature, the Tomahawk isn't a dynamic mecha so don't expect it to be doing any Revoltech poses.

Isnt the Tomahawk bigger than valk?

  8. BBTS will not charge your CC tilll the product arrives into their warehouse. BBTS has create Customer service. However somethings I find are expensive there but I am willing to pay a little higher for it sine I can get my items within US.

Also I know Toynazi are not done with the alphas. There are suppose to wait for the molds to ome back from Aoshima rumor has it.

  9. For those complaining, we can go with toynami's beta. Toynami's Beta It looks like it is not vaporware.

Yes, Toynami is still moving forward with their Beta fighter. The toy has already been tooled and is ready to go. We should see that Summer/Fall of 2008. 10,000 will be made in the different color schemes (not sure yet how many of each color yet) and expected retail cost is $150.

$150 vs $250~300? No brainer but it is Toynami. Any way you cut it, it seems to be a lose-lose: expensive, non-accurate combo vs large scale Tread/Beta from a company that have quality issues in the Robotech toy franchise.

    EDIT: spelling errors.

  10. A 1/1 scale Asuka with removeable dress? Holy sh!t. Now I can see I have seen everything (well hear). It never ceases to amaze me how someone dreams this stuff up let alone it becomes marketable. Then again, we are talking the Japanese where they now introducing women robots and man pillows. With all that, how in the hell does the Japanese propagate?:ph34r: Sounds like they have been hitting the bong too hard.

Bah, it's not as creepy as the 1/1 scale Asuka Langley Sohryu (with REMOVEABLE DRESS!) I saw at the Akihabara Anime Center a few months back...which could be yours for a mere ¥330,000...

That said, I still think I'll pass on this one.

  11. As much as I like the DRYL Minmay, I already got the figure (on a smaller scale) from Tamin. I also have some of the CMs figures. BUT buying something that big just some how wrong (to me). Then again if you buy it, you will be forever branded as a pansie@$$ or someone who needs to have a real life which includes getting a real girl so you can stop um... doing things... to that doll or any other 1/1 scale doll you have in your possession or better yet you have fanboy issues. Then again, I could be branded as an overgrown child with amount of valks, joes, anime, and TFs I have in my possession. I digress... Some thing that big in size, I cannot fanthom where to put it in my house. I dont mind if the doll is smaller to display but again, where in god's name will I put the 1/60 Monster destroid if it ever comes out. If I really want a minmay, I can dress up my GF in that getup and be happy.

I will happy to see what other macross stuff is coming out from Yamato such as variations of the destroids and 2 seater VF-1.

  12. OMG!!! I am getting many many tomahawks. I will prolly get 2 weathered 1/48 Roys. I am happy to see the destroids get some love especially from Yamato. My wallet is screaming bloddy and murder and runnning away... damn this year is gonna hurt...
