  1. There has been no mention at all in the series that her original identity was not as Sheryl Nome. As far as her having an "Alpha Bombay" blood type, I can´t source that, since I never noticed before when that could have come up.
  2. While not verifiable, it sure is the most amusing possibility. But it has been strongly implied that she has been sick since at least Grace got her fingers on her. Either already when Grace found her in the slum or, more likely, she got infected by Grace.
  3. With the subs, no further great insights from the summaries we got by now, but one more question about the Witchcraft pills. If the pills are a receptor blocker, which have the side effect of fever, vomiting, and chills, how exactly did Sheryl not suffer from those side effects during all of those six years she was fed that receptor blocker? This is a bit of a plot hole, IMO, unless she really was just infected by Grace with the V-Type disease. And I´d like to know what the V-Type disease does to you... I hope it is not "going berserk" like that Hydra. ^^ Although Sheryl hit her rock bottom right now, the episode felt to me to be just the set-up for next episode, where the major developments on the relationship front are to kick off, IMO. As for the non-relationship plot, I am flabbergasted on how we are now three episodes from where the "real" plot was to kick off, and nothing since then has been shown about Galaxies plans. If they want to build up Galaxy as the real enemy and make some sort of peace with the Vajra, they better get kicking, because we are only seven episodes out from the ( assumed ) end of the series. Otherwise we are in danger of getting a pretty rushed end to that part of the story. However, if that sounds like I disliked the episode somehow, be assured that this ain´t the case. The episode flowed perfectly and looked beautiful... it´s just that I always hope that more happens, seeing how the series will end ( too ) soon.
  4. We´ll see if they revisit the topic or let it stand at Sheryl being a random homeless girl. I´m just saying, it´s plain weird that Ranshe Mei and Sheryl look completely alike in character design. I would be very surprised if the Macross Frontier staff didn´t do that for some purpose...
  5. If you compare the photo of Ranshe Mei and a good frontal shot of Sheryl, then you should notice the marked resemblance between the two of them. Maybe Sheryl got to that alley on Galaxy, because she is a survivor of the 117th fleet, got to Galaxy as a refugee and nobody gave a poo about a single six year old girl? And she is the orphaned daughter of Ranshe Mei? Which would explain how Grace chose her ( and probably manipulated things so that chibi-Sheryl would end up in that alley? ). I know, I know, a lot of "ifs", but the visual similarity between Sheryl and Ranshe is striking.
  6. We´ve been postulating that hypothesis for some time on Animesuki. It´s likely that Sheryl is an engineered human being, created from the genes of Ranshe Mei ( Rankas presumptive mother ).
  7. gg are normally outstanding. Last episode had some weird stuff, but Suzuran and/or creamyhorror said they´d look if a patch to the file would be appropiate ( I hope so! ). And as Chihiro/Kei seem to be out of town, gg is also the first group to release.
  8. Dude, I just wondered what the hell Enka is from before the subs came out and used Wikipedia. Then I copy and pasted what they wrote about that first style of Enka in my post. Every moron can do that, no deep analysis involved. And what is that "Aruto" thing that sometimes crops up? It´s "Alto", no sub uses "Aruto".
  9. While I prefer your fansubs over all other groups, I am a bit flabbergasted with the line from Michael at 03:41 "On top of that, you completely spewed what I taught you about bringing a woman in..." Um, "spewed"? Was that to be "screwed up", or what exactly? Wikipedia says about Enka that it refers to folk music and to speeches set to music which were sung and spread by political activists during the Meiji period (1868–1912) and the Taisho period (1912–1926) as a means to avoid crackdowns by the government on speeches of political dissent. I am guessing Alto may even be referring to that second possibility, because otherwise it would make him incredibly bad at recognizing music styles. Well, and because it was a passionate speech by Ozma to the tune of Fire Bomber music. Keep on the good work, I´m always happy when your releases come out. Can´t wait on Code Geass this week. Oh, and not to forget: BOMBAAA!!!
  10. Aye, I also would like to voice my appreciation. Many, many thanks, guys!
  11. Actually, I think it may well be that they are biomass which can be re-used for Frontier. After the big Vajra attack, lot of water, air and other biomass was lost, as you can see if you re-watch the scene with the president and Leon in the presidents office from last episode.
  12. No spoiler tags necessary anymore at this time. That being said, I am thinking that Klan is putting on a brave front for the sake of Michael. Also, it was only a few seconds we saw of them, so it´s not very conclusive to see how she really feels. I guess next episode we´ll get a bit more, and maybe even see if Luca made it. ^^
  13. Well, I get pure and unadultered excitement out of it... I constantly refresh the browser to see if the HorribleRaw is out, sometimes delay at morning going to work to watch the Chihiro/Kei first sub... and I still re-watch big parts of all episodes. Deculture! And also, Sheryl is awesome! Did I miss something to say? Oh, yeah... the mecha fights. Woah, man. I hope this series goes on forever.
  14. No wonder that he is a recurring character . That is K'Krukhs freaking sweet hat! <random Star Wars comment>
  15. I appreciate the reply. I´ll compare the next release ( episode 14 should be a good sample, seeing how we´ll probably get lots of flashy space combat ), to see if the video quality really is equal. As I download the Spanish subs, too, for a friend in South America, the difference between their resolution ( 848x480 ) and the modified GGs ( 1440x1080) is of course *huge*. I went with the idea that having a higher resolution is always better, so I´ll check out the two different gg releases this weekend. Though I must say, I dig that fancy karaoke. As for your translations, they are the ones which capture the "voice" of the characters best, as far as I am concerned. So, kudos for that, too!
