    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Better pictures of the upcoming 1/48 VF-1J
  2. Hi Toonz, Very beautiful and nice designs. Would you consider a gerwalk in place of the GPB or a VF-1S Strike in battroid mode? My suggestion is that the front of the Polo Tshirt or Round neck Tshirt having a small UNSpacy Logo or a Skull Logo should be accompanied by a MacrossWorld Shopathon 2004 wording in white, followed by the main design on the back, i guess thats the way most T shirts are designed like Ripcurl Billabong and Quiksilver, Stussy and so on. Guys whats your view on this? Do suggest. Any ways great job Toonz Cheers
  3. Nice pictures KiraYamato, cool mods on the missile packs. Any more pictures, what about VF-1S Roy or VF-1A Hikaru? You havent received your 1/48 Fps, may i presume you are a singaporean? Cheers
  4. Hi there, Sad to say i havent received any birthday or christmas gifts for years. Usually i splurge on toys or models based on the amount i set aside each month, while the rest goes to savings and daily transportation and food expenses. My parents always give me the puzzled look asking "At this age you shouldnt be wasting money on toys but save for the future" I told them "This is what i always wanted since young but was then unable to afford, so please let me indulge in my hobbies abit" Im lucky and fortunate to have met my current fiancee living in Hong Kong, she shares my passions and interests, above all we are very much in love! She always gets me Macross toys on my birthdays, valentine's day and christmas, but i always go with her while in Hong Kong to choose the toy as she doesnt possess the knowledge or experience to check the toys for quality issues. So am i lucky? You bet i am, having both my first loves, toys and soon wife to be. Cheers

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

I agree with ya on this, its bascially a shoulder plate molded in white with a GPB shoulder attachment covering the existing shoulders. If Yamato didint did such a modfication, the shoulder armor wouldnt be able to fit in given that the GPB chest plate armor would interfere with the attachment of the shoulder armor. It may not be an exact replica true to the TV series but nevertheless we have 1/60 GPB thats 100 times better than what Bandai has conjured up. There be other modfications we havent seen to the others parts of the GPB armor so that it fits the 1/60, till then lets for Graham's review. This maybe the modification we will see if this concept were to be inplemented on the 1/48 VF-1J. One thing bugs me though is how skinny the 1/48s arms will be in comparision to the humongous GPB armor. Cheers B)
  6. Awesome work GunnerX! Im crossing my fingers and hope mine turns out as well as yours. Cant able to have any head start as im kinda of busy with work, usually tired and exhausted at the end of the day. where did you get the energy to do your models may i ask? Sad to say, i wun be doing any panel shading as i dun really have stable hands as well as i only have post shading skills and knowledge. Did you do a clear coat for the finish product? Cheers
  7. Welcome nana to MW, enjoy your stay here. Be warn highly contagious, you may end up buying something no matter how you try to resist. Btw are you a he or she? Cheers
  8. They could, but I deprioritized that set since Hasegawa released their own armored Minmay Guard model and the option decal set with the basic Minmay Guard markings. If there's enough interest I'll make the 1/72 set as well. Don't worry, I've got you down for the 1/72 Blue Roses set. Hi Devin, Yes i know Hasegawa came out with the Minmay strike variant, but the decals arent to my liking as too much pink were involved, not forgetting the minmay design wasnt as nice as the ones produce in the decal options 3 set. I was thinking of doing one till you came along and produce one, boy it would save me a whole lot of work dedicated to masking. Anyways i love this design more as featured in Model Graphics. Hey no rush, just finish what you need to at the moment, if there is enough interest for the 1/72 Minmay Guard sets, im in. Meanwhile i will be contented to have the 1/72 Blueroses set. Minmay Guard set is a bonus. not forgetting i would love some of your 1/48 stickers set for the variants as well as the Fps. Cheers Thanks
  9. Hiya Devin, Can this decals be made in a 1/72 scale and fit on a Hasegawa 1/72 Battroid? If it can be done, i would love a set not forgetting also a 1/72 Blueroses decal set. By the way devin, yamato should hire your to do their decals/stickers set for them cos your works are always of a high quality. Thanks
  10. Hiya, I will only keep one MISB of my favourite valk be it 1/48, 1/72 or 1/60. At the present, i only intend to keep one 1/48 VF-1S Roy reissue and one 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru and 1/48 Fps MISB. The rest will be on display in my glass cabinet. Alot of them are my favourites but i try to restrict myself to the ones at the top of the list. Cheers

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Frankly saying, a 1/48 GPB design would be quite complicated in the sense that the 1/48 has a much wider chest plate and elongated nose. However, i believe Yamato has made provisions when they design the VF-1J such that it will accomodate the future GPB armor given that the nose cone could be removed. It would be interesting to see how the GPB armor would fit or attached to the 1/48 Chest plate without any modfications to the 1/48 VF-1J itself. I would be getting the 1/60 VF-1J with GPB amor for sure but if Yamato decides to surprise me with a 1/48 GPB armor, i will grab it too. 1/60 for fiddling around and 1/48 for displaying and admiring. Bring it on Yamato. Cheers

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

Hiya guys, My view on this, Its cool that Yamato finally released a VF-1J with GPB armor but bearing in mind that Yamato doesnt always released a mold to be used only once, hence you might see another variant in it. For e.g. a GPB VF-1S. Boy its going to be expensive year, 1/48 VF-1S Roy, Hikaru, VF-1J Hikaru, 1/48 Fps, Transfomer alternators line, 20th Annivesary Optimus prime, M0 and M+ variants next year as well as others from the DYRL and TV series for eg enemy and support units and so on. 2003 and 2004 will be filled with plenty of choices but bad for our wallets. But what the heck, get them. Cheers

Hi Slaxed, could we have closeups on the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru with Fps or any larger pictures of the GPB? Thanks Boy i do hope they will make the GPB armor for the VF-1J, anyways i will be getting the 1/48 VF-1J with Fps, slapped the Fps onto the VF-1S Roy, there you have an accurate VF-1S TV version. And my VF-1J will wait for its GPB armor hopefully. Cheers
  14. Hi Wmcheng, you managed to do the decals for the intakes, awesome!! I heard its quite a tough and difficult decal to do due to its contours and shape. I was thinking of masking the intakes and spraying the yellow patterns. Please do give us your frank opinion as well as steps used in applying the decals for the intakes. Thanks
  15. Hi Wmcheng, Thanks for the advice. Its sort of a relief for me especially when spraying big areas or small parts requires much stability as well as flexibility in movements. That reminds when i get to do my YF21 or YF19 to used a new pair of surgical gloves for each when doing the base coats, that way it sort of prevents me from getting finger prints on the body itself or parts even though the paint is totally dry. Cheers
  16. Hi Wmcheng, As always a beautiful and outstanding job. Im thinking if i get to build my YF-21 would it be able to stand up to yours, the details and outstanding paint job. Well i guess not. Wmcheng, i have a question which apply to the current YF-21 and the previous YF-19 that you did. how do you manage to secure the whole model while spraying, im sure you arent holding it with your fingers, but any clamps or device used? Pictures would be much appreciated. Thanks Cheers
  17. Toonz, you going to get one? Hmm are you going to paint it? by hand or airbrush? Cheers
  18. Awesome job, GunnerX!! Im just about done on mine, just finishing the final decals application then onto semi clear gloss coat then assembly finish with a flat clear coat using Gunze products. No pictures available however, but maybe in the future i will post my collection of hasegawa models when i get my digi cam. Im too impressed with the pre-shading cos usually i suck at it, im more adapt at post shading so my hasegawa models i decided to do a clean paint job instead. Cheers
  19. Chest size? let me go and size myself up first. Recon / ??? / 1pcs / Black / T / Short Recon / ??? / 1pcs / Navy Blue / T / Short Hey guys, a bit of bad news, there is a slight possibilty that i might not be able to make it due to work commitments and schedules, we will see about it when the time comes. Will keep you informed. I do still want the T-shirts if im unable to make it. Cheers
  20. Hi devin, As always awesome decals/stickers design. Devin, can the red be darken cos they seem abit bright to me? How are the stickers quality, do they have a thin translucent background same as that of takatoys? Cheers
  21. Hey drifand, Shucks i missed out on the release of the Smokescreen, have to wait till the next shipment in 2 weeks time. How much did you pay for it in singapore, which dealer did you got yours? Any photos to show? Cheers
  22. If that is the last alternative, i would recommend Gunze Sangyo's TOPCOAT (Water Base) or Mr Hobby Clear Coat (Water base). But cons is pressure not constant, may indue splattering at low pressure. I would rather you get a modeller at any hobby shops which im sure that is plenty in Hong Kong using an airbrush to do a clear coat for ya. But bearing in mine the coat has to be water based not acryllic lacquer. Cheers
  23. Woah, Wmcheng, that paint scheme is going to involve alot of masking work, from what i can see there are 3 to 4 different shades of tones and colors. For you im sure it aint a problem. Cheers
