  1. You can say that again. 15 1/48s, 15 sets of Fps. Given the VF-1J/Fps is coming out this december. That will bring a grand total of of 18 1/48s, 15 1/48 DYRL Fps and 3 TV Fps. Really envy his collection man! I only have 2 1/48s and 2 Fps. Geez. Cheers

    New here!

Hey KYQ, i think we should thank our lucky stars that Yamato products are pretty much affordable here in SG than in other regions, except for graham who lives in HK. Im also a macross fan by nature but when i saw the binatech line and the upcoming 20th Ann Optimus prime, those are a much get on my list, not forgetting the 1/48 VF-1J coming up in december. Oh my poor wallet. Opps i forgot i have to purchased the 1/48 VF-1S reissue and 2 more sets 1/48 Fps. Man i would be chewing on bread for the next two months. Cheers
  3. Hiya, Yes i agree. Lets just be patient and give Yamato time to finish their design and final preparations before announcing its release. Haste makes waste. I for one would love to see the new YF-19/Fps in the M+ series, i bet it would be awesome. I would also love to see another YF-19?/Fps be produced in the form of Super Nova scheme other than the VFX-2 series scheme. That would be a pleasant surprise...white with blue stripes or white with orange stripes. Cheers
  4. Awesome cabinet jonwayne. Where do you get those cabinets or are they customed made. Love the neon blue lights. Cheers
  5. Looks awesome fulcy, great work of engineering. Cant wait to see the finish product. Cheers

    New here!

Wecome KYQ to MW!!!! Its downhill from here on once you get your first 1/48, 1/60 or 1/72. Cheers
  7. Anyone getting the 1/1 DYRL helmet? Im considering one, maybe only. I bet CHAN and S I T H L O R D will be getting them too. Okie back to the topic, my best guess that you will probably be seeing the 1/48 VF-1J/Fps be packaged like those seen in the 1/60 series especially the super, strike and M&M series. However, the major disadvantage will that the 1/48 Box width will be increased to accomodate the valk with Fps, but it will look cool. More storage bewilderment coming your way. Cheers
  8. Why? Cos there is a possibility that Yamato wun produce the 1/48 VF-1S Max. But then again i maybe wrong. Cheers
  9. It will be cool to see someone customise a 1/48 VF-1S in eith Bluerose scheme or the Minmay guard scheme with the decals of Devin. Hey Devin if you have time, please do the 1/72 Blueroses decalsfor the hasegawa Stike battroid for me. By the way Devin, would you be offering the 1/48 valks and 1/48 Fps decals/stickers set at the end of the year again for ordering? Hope this time your Alps printer wun die on you again, touch wood. Cheers
  10. Thats funny!

    Hikaru 1S Review

My opinion is that what Wmcheng did with his 1/48 VF-1S/Fps is the best. If he gets the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru, i cant imagine how superb it would look with his touches. Cheers

here one (Note its a modified VF-1A with a S head) cos mine is MISB-SP till i have my own place and glass cabinets installed. Cheers
  15. It would be better if they extended the depth of the box instead of the length. We could be seeing a new range of boxes used by yamato for shipping the 1/48 VF-1Js /Fps. Cheers

    Hikaru 1S Review

Hmm, wondering when will Graham give us his reviews on the new 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru? I examined the valk while at Noel's shop, the head seam on the S head is gone, havent yet got the chance to check the gap at the fuselage area when the landing gears are deploy. The skull insigna on the wind are straight too. Cheers
  18. Thats scary thought to think about especially when we have put in huge amounts for the 1/60 1/72 and 1/48 series that we collect. Maybe we should wear surgical gloves when handling our 1/60s , 1/72s and 1/48s. Anyone had any ideas what cause yellowing besides UV, oxidaization and oils from our hands? Thanks i would be interested to know more. Thanks Hey toonz, if you are looking at this thread, have you valks start to yellow? I guess this problem of yellowing is worse especially in a hot and humid country like Singapore. Cheers

    Hikaru 1S Review

To be clear, the picture you posted was the Hikaru VF-1A, but I think I see what you mean. However, I don't know if there is anything to it. I mean, they are supposed to be the same pilot so they are obviously going to resemble one another. But like I said in my edited post, I don't know why Yamato would make two different molds and then flip-flop. Maybe the use of different resin makes them look different and the prototype was rubbery...but I don't think it's really anything to speculate too long about...in the long run I don't think it means anything special. Although, this does mean that Yamato will either eventually have to release a new and improved Max VF-1S or include a free rubbery resin Max DYRL pilot in some future release. Yes true, Prototypes especially pertaining to intricate details or small parts or parts of different material are usually modelled by the designer himself and would be usually different from that of being mass produced. Cheers

    Hikaru 1S Review

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. If you mean "Will the reissue Roy VF-1S/Hikaru VF-1A come with the rubbery pilots?" I think the answer is yes. Hmm let me rephrase the question. What i meant was that new 1/48 pilot figurine featured in the VF-1S Hikaru and upcoming reissues bears a striking resemblance to that of the pilot figurine shown in the first 1/48 VF-1S prototype in the pictures shown above, which is different from that of the first 3 1/48 variants that went into mass production.

    Hikaru 1S Review

I noticed something about the pilots figurines in the 1/48 series. From the pictures of the prototype, it seems to resemble that seen in the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru. Any comments

    Hikaru 1S Review

Hi, Special Thanks to Noel for getting the 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru in so early this month. Boy was i elated by receving my first VF-1S, its just so beautiful and menacing looking especially with the Fps. Another surprise i got was the mother of all Holy Grails, a beautiful poster of the DYRL series with a picture of Minmei in the back. I believed Noel did put up the poster for sale during the recent Macross Con. Its mine now thanks to Noel, i have been looking for this poster everywhere. Cant wait to get my 2nd 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru and the reissue VF-1S Roy. Cheers
