  1. Scrapper more OP Breakaway from the game. Hope he makes it into the film LongHaul from game
  2. considering that Transformers in general are Toy Commercial show, I wouldn't be complaining. Bay has way less camp than the original cartoon. Pissed off fans just have Nostalgia Glasses who saw the original as if it was a holy grail of television. Transformers is more than just g1, it encompasses many universes and series, Beastwars and TF: Animated being my personal faves. Anyway, sure the first movie had flaws and the lack of robots is due to CG being very expensive. Revenge of the Fallen is promising. It delves very much about the robots lore. If you read the prequel comics you'll know they'll be a plot lifter off from the cartoons themselves. It also has MORE MORE ROBOTS due to ramped up budget.
  3. I can't believe no one's discussing this beauty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH3STHC63hU.Watch in HD for full effect!
  4. I think that's the point. Since season 1 Muzishima has been adverting Gundam tropes. It always looks like he's putting a Gundam cliche then twisting it around. Nr. Bushido is xactly what he is. It's making fun of the overused Masked Man trope of Gundam. It's OBVIOUSLY Grahama and he has such a silly name. He's not mysterious, he hangs out near vending machines drinking coffee in the canteena.
  5. This thread has kinda gotten off topic...
  6. Wow.... 4 pages. Anyway, I wasn't specifically saying a direct Macross adaptation. Just a big budget Holywood movie with the same themes as Macross such as "There are just some situations that bigger guns won't save you" and "trying to understand the enemy instead of blowing the poo out of them". And yes, maybe even singing during the battle.
  7. Are Holywood audiences ready for a sci-fi epic space war movie that involves resolution through understanding/peace and singing like Macross? Would people reject the idea of song stopping war? How would audiences react?
  8. Am I the only one who thought the intro of "Battle Frontier" sounded like Independence Day music?
  9. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4527921 haha I love this!
  10. Am I the only one who thinks Briler isn't really a villain? He is thought as a threat by the villains (Grace, Leon and to a lesser extent Luca).
  11. I beleive Dent survived. Yea, yeah the scrips says he broke his neck, but not everything from the script is brought over to the movie. The scene was plenty ambiguous. There was no confirmation of Dent's death from either Batman or Gordon. Gordon could have easily said "Harvey's prosecution died with HIM", but instead e said "Harvey's prosecution dies wit HIS REPUTATION". They made a point in the movie to show how someone falling from that small height can survive. If they wanted to confirm he was dead, they should've used a higher place. Maroni landed on his feet and broke his ankles. Dent, we don't know how he fell. Gordon could have faked his death, he faked his death in the very same film. A memorial service in the same movie for Loeb was held and you can see his casket. In Harvey's memorial, we only get a picture, no casket. His fate was purposefully left ambiguous so they could easily bring him back if needed. Nolan also said that he didn't like killing off villains and the original plan was to have Two Face as the villain in the third. Also, it would be perfect sense for Two-Face to be both "died as a hero" and "lived long enough to become the villain". He is not one but both. They could have very well stuffed him in Arkham in hopes of rehabilitating him.
  12. I felt sad for that Red Lobster type who latched on the Koneig Monster, helping itself to the angelic voice of Little Queen. Brera had to blow it to bits while it was chilling.
  13. Again... people are talking about defeating the Vajra in the finale, when it's clear that what they should strive for is peace with the Vajra, not open war. The characters have to find out about Grace's true intentions. I doubt Frontier will end with the destruction of the Vajra race. If it does then the show ends in a sad note.
  14. I thought it was kind of implied that wiping out the Vajra is the wrong approach to conflict and the hatred towards them is exactly what Grace and her cohorts want.
  15. I think Grace's goal goes beyond petty monetary concerns. They make Luca feel that Briler is a threat when the dude is probably a good guy who looks a lil freaky....
  16. It's nothing new to Kikuko Inoue. SHe either plays the Belldandy type OR the bitch woman type. Look up I-No from Guilty Gear. She's done villainesses before...
  17. I disagree. I think making the Borg have more weaknesses was one of the biggest mistakes Star Trek could have ever done. Vajra will adapt to any for of weaponry given they have taken enough hots for them to adapt. I like scary invincible enemies. Makes it a better victory when heroes find ingenious, unorthodox ways to deal with them instead of throwing bigger bombs...
  18. Can't wait for the inevitable Vajra fighting on our side, against other Vajra? Like in the end of SW-1?
  19. Is it me? Or was that Red Lobster latching on the the Konieg Monster was just there... listening to Ranka's song. Brera just shot it down before anyone realized that it would have not destroyed the Konieg Monster and was shilling with Ranka's sweet voice.
  20. Sheryl singing alone does nothing, but Sheryl singing "Infinity" with Ranka caused an effect with the purple crystal earring that transmitted all the way to Alto. Sheryl seems to be failed attempt in duplicating Ranka (or maybe Sara who is of Mayan blood) but If the 2 sing together it is amplified? What exactly does Sheryl's singing do to make Ranka's more effective?
  21. Oh please, StarCraft ripping off WH40k again? They just have some similar designs philosophies. Anyway you have to be a GW fanboy to not see that GW was indeed credited in StarCraft. Tyranids new designs look more Zergish then before SC came out. Don't just go around dissing Blizzard for being knockoffs when they know how to pay tribute to intellectual property. James Cameron, Heinlen etc. are all in SC's credits. It's not like their doing around saying that they are being original. Blizzard is not known for originality, they are known for taking some half baked, unpolished ideas of others and refining them to be fun and playable. That's why they take so long in making their games. They really want quality products. They wen as far as pulling the plug on SC: Ghost(which went through 2 overhauls) because it didn't meet their standards. I'm sure Kawamori will get some accreditation. If Miyazaki was thanked for just having a the Reaver look similar to one of his creatures, I think They'l acknowledge Kawamori/Macross in the VF idea...
  22. Hayao Miyazaki was credited by Blizzard in StarCraft for giving inspiration for the Reaver(from Nausica). What are the chances that Kawamori will be credited for the Variable Vikings or even the Thor that resembles the Destroid Monster? Also Protoss Zerg Hybrids will be Evil series of StarCraft? Protoss=Zentradi as Xel'Naga=Protoculture. Viking Fighter: Viking Assault: Thor:
