  1. Wow, she looks great! The plan is to keep her in fighter, and Ivanov in Battroid i think.

And Swoosh: Pics of the 2 of them Vs Shin and Roy in their Zeroes....PLEASE???!!!

Can do with Shin but I don't have Roy's Zero.... :p

  2. Damn Swoosh, those are some fine pics. This is a beautiful toy. I've made my decision, if I ever buy a 51, it'll be Nora's. For the past few years I've liked Ivanov's more, but that schanged now. What a beautiful mecha. Swoosh, is this easier to transform than the 1/60 YF-19 and 1/48 VF-1?

I like how the majority of the details are tampo printed too.

SV-51 is the most difficult one to transform among them... and very scary.

Hey Swoosh once again very nice pictures. I thought the Nora scheme was kinda ugly, but now I like it.

It also seems Yamato did the accurate color corrections that weren't on the first prototypes. Good job Yamato. Graham also mentioned the wing issue was fixed also. Very nice.

However Swoosh how's the hips on the Nora scheme? I would like to know whether they are as loose as the Ivanov or much tighter?

The hip is a bit tighter than Ivanov.

Overall, Nora is more sturdy than Ivanov, if you are already happy with Ivanov, I am sure you won't have complaint with Nora, especially the missile attachment are ROCK solid, it didn't comes off during full transformation from fighter to Battriod and vice versa!!!

Please note that my camera makes it looks more red that than actual thing.

  3. Excellent pics, swoosh! (Originally saw them over at toyskingdom.)

May I use some of those in my reference lists? (see siggy - I also PM'd you)

Great job on the eyes....the rest of the fig doesn't look too too bad, but is it one of those deals - "the closer you look" - is when you start to see more QC issues?

Never posted anything in toyskingdom or may be you mean toysdaily? My name is GRAW there.

Regarding QC, I don't think there are any issue except the head, mostly the eyes. Overall is pretty good.

  4. Excellent pics Swoosh, how much did you pay? Do you think the figure's joints will loosen quickly over time?

HKD120, sure the joints will be loosen over time, but this apply to any model/toys.... ^_^

At least they are very tight at the moment and it is not expensive, just prepare to do some touch up since the face are horrible out of the box, I can't even see the eyes if I have not painted them myself....

  5. I still don't understand why they can't make color-molded heatshields with a U-shaped groove on the top like the 1/60 heatshields. That would look SO MUCH better IMO. I don't like the glossy plastic they use to make them. Why couldn't they just use the plastic that the Valks are molded in?

hm... IIRC it is because they put the skull or any other emblem to the inside of the heat shield, that can prevent scracthing of it... so they have to use clear plastic....
