Someone in HK said the body of this one is different from the normal version, they have re-designed the hip joints

I think that what Zinjo means is this: What does it say directly under the word "Perfect" on the front cover? "OUT-8", or "OUT-10"?

Also, would you mind upping a pic of the back cover? Does it say "Macross Perfect Memory" on the back too? Is there small text on the back cover running vertically down near the spine, or price info in the upper right?

Sorry for the interrogation - there are multiple reprints and bootlegs of this book, and we've been trying to get them sorted out here for quite a while

Well to be fair it did say its a limited 400% version and I rather them to be different enough and you can't intergchange the parts. Otherwise the worth of the "limitedness" is lesser.

Its not just the "armored hand" that makes it the normal version.

The differences between normal and 400% sync version:

1.) armored head - the teeth are white in 400% version whereas the teeth are the red "metal teeth" in the normal.

2.) non-armored head - bandaged in 400% version and non bandaged in normal.

3.) weapons - 400% doesn't come with any weapon accesories.

4.) S2 engine - 400% comes with a S2 engine (the red core) whereas the normal one doesn't. You can't swap this out it seems.

5.) hand - 400% comes with a detachable human arm whereas the normal one has a normal one. I don't own one....but can those shoulder joints be detached?

Yes, it is mine, I bought it from a toy store in HK, they a few boxes, I think they order it from Yahoo! Japan through some kind of channel.

The cover of shoulder joints are detachable, so you switch between the look you like.

oh, I didn't know it is easy to break... this is the first SOC Spec I got (not interested in thie line before), I have to be cafefully then...

Actually, I have think of that too, they can just make up some event and celebrate after 25 yrs in the macross universe!!

I think it is because, unlike other markings, the "25th Anniversary" in our world dose not fit in any Macross's universe/timeline....

Imagine the boxart for the Hasegawa model that will be done by Tenjin, you will probably see a a "real life" picture of the 25th anniversary valk that can not exists...

I'd prefer they put those 25th anniversary wording on a special display stand, rather than put them on the valk...

I am lucky enough to found a Perfect Memory Book while I was in Japan last week, it even comes with the poster, everthing looks just brand new.

The condition is much better than Macross Plus book!!!

I don't need to buy it on eBay, but I just hope they are already in HK now and ready for sale.... as I heard someone said release date is 20th a few pages back...

I think Metallic colors are always difficult to show in Animate, just like we can only see all Gold Saint are some different shade of Yellowish color in Saint Seiya...
