  1. I'm confused.

Are we talking about images that are posted via attachments or directly linked images?

None of those directly linked images in those threads look problematic to me. But I do see a couple of attachments that will are appearing in their own window when clicked. . . but the window is tiny and needs to be re-sized by hand. I suspect the latter will be fixed when the attachments are rebuilt (hopefully soon).

They are all direclty linked image, I am referring those posted by my id "Swoosh".

Take an example pic that I posted before the migration and now I post it again in below:

    DSCF0862s.jpg

You can see now it is dynamic resized, but it is the same image/link I have used before the migration.

  2. Im still not really convinced that the the neck/fuselage hinge part has been rectified and replaced with one that has a stronger materials and correct "hole" size to accomodate the hinge. Really need confirmation and pictures on that area, but other than that im quite happy with the fixes done namely:

    1) Crooked gunpod fixed

    2) Rear left landing gear inability to extend fully fixed

    3) Gap at the fuselage area minimised

Ohter problems which are not confirmed or are still existent are:

    1) Loose shoulder flaps?

    2) Reinforced neck hinge?

Lastly, what im really displeased abt are those idiot trigger happy yamato factory workers, who enjoy applying excess glues on watsoever areas which pleases them.

    1) Loose shoulder flaps? ---> OK on mine. (one of them did dropped during the first transformation, but never happen again when I slide them out with caution afterward.

    2) Reinforced neck hinge? ----> can't tell, but I can see stressmark, don't know if the "hole" size are correct, but I can feel no friction once you unlock it from the chest plate.

Here is a pic, don't panic, it is not broken yet...

  3. Those final two Gerwalk mode pics are just beautiful.

Can we get some close ups of Yang, (co-pilot), and how he fits in the cockpit?

I did took some pic of him, but I forgot to upload it to my friend's server...

His face looks real funny inside the helmet, they give the helmet clear plastic shield so you can see his face with his glasses, and IIRC, he has full leg(better than Isamu), no problem for him to fit in the cockpit, just need to push his legs in with a toothpick... ^_^

  4. I don't know why you would think that. I've had plenty of bandai models snap on me. The one thing that some of the more complex models have going for them is that there's a lot of overlap of layers of plastic. Which helps strengthen overall... but the individual parts... I don't know, I've never seen an indestructible or flawless toy, despite all the bandai love that goes on here.

I think it is because most og my Bandai model are MG, they weight a lot lesser than the Yamato, and the most important, I build them myself, so they were handled with care, no over tigten screw or glue... :p

Or just like what PsYcHoDyNaMiX said, there are different types of ABS...

  5. I saw this in the pics earlier and thought if it would be an issue since the gate seems to be extended off the body of the fastpack.

How does that piece look to you swoosh, solid and sturdy?

Similar to VF0s, it attach to the leg using magnet, the FAST pack itself dose not hold to the legs very well in battriod mode (it is much heavier the VF0, and more solid), but in the fighter mode the FAST became less easier to fall off due to the rear wing's peg is pluged to this gate, the wings helps keeping it in place, which is good.

    B))

  6. oooh, that's nice. Doesn't look like they got the shoulder to sit anymore flush in fighter mode though.

    kinda disapointing.

But after seeing the FP, I like how the slightly bent angle of the legs gives it a very aggressive feel that the lineart version doesn't have, imo.

FAST pack actually weaken the fighter mode, and it is much more difficult to get every peg fit together when the leg are bent. ;)

  7. WHAAA!!!!! That's pretty nice... The pics and the fix I mean. XD

    ***EDIT***

And the fast packs too. XD

    Any idea about the hinges?

The hinge inside the fusage, it has stress on one of them, I had losen the screw a bit, no breakage over 10 transfomation, but yes, it still makes me worry, but not much.

There are also some problem on the left shoulder, the movable part inside it was glued by the worker. You can see from my that it cannot close completely in the figter mode, I then use some force to break it in and it can move like what it is supposed to, luckily I didn;t break anything else...

  8. We have went through a lots of debate in various HK toys forum regarding Japanese version, HK version, Taiwan Version, Southeast Asia version of the same toy that came from the same plant.

Those 'Collector" always say Japanese version has better QC and that's why you will find those Japanese version cost about 10-20% higher than other version in HK toy store.... I believe they do it just for protect their resell value.... <_<

I also collect Bandai Saint Coth Myth, SOC and HCM Pro, I have almost every version stated above in my collection, I can say their QC are identical. Flaws can be found in every version.

Luckily in HK we can see the actual product, usaully the store have them in quantity and we can compare them side by side and pick the best one before we pay the money...

  9. Here's a copy so far of my email correspondence with HLJ.
