Lets face it guys, the reason why Alto's VF-171EX was destroyed is because he would be picked up by Macross 1/4. Ozma and gang would convince him about Grace's conspiracy. He would fly off in his old trusty VF-25F and face off Brera. Defeat or kil Brera with VF-25F and proceed to rescue Ranka. Can't have a non-hero VF-171EX beating the VF-27 can we ?

how's it hypocritical, we want official subs and to have actual DVD's but we would like to know what is going on in the last two episodes without haveing to wait a year.

Referring to Kreshphy's statement on the last episode, SK did mention that the it would be a "culture shock" for us. So it may not be far from the truth,

Whether or not the Vajra planted the eggs there during the early battles, it still comes down to Grace and Galaxy bringing the Vajra to Frontier in the first place. What I got from one of the more recent episodes is that Grace did not expect the attack which came from those eggs hatching. So I'd guess it was the Vajra themselves, from possibly the battle in episode 1 (rather, the remaining Vajra which were then fought in episode 2 or 3).

As for why, I'd say the most reasonable answer is that the Vajra, who were under attack and being invaded decided to plant a booby trap in case these invading aliens continued to try and wipe them out.

You need a Queen Vajra to lay those eggs, as the Queen are usually confine to their hive and never go into battle, I think it is likely that Grace (or even Leon) planting those eggs.

Does the Japanese in 2ch have a similar poll ? I am curious on their take on it.

Regarding remakes: if they're going to remake anything, they'll do it as a 3 part movie version. Since SDF:M has DYRL, I highly doubt that we'll see any more remakes.

A second season of Macross Frontier? That is possible, but my impression is that there won't be. A new series? time will tell.

I personally prefer that they re-introduce the Galaxy fleet and resolve the series with them with atleast two episodes but the spoilers haven't given anything like that away or even on the last episode so I'm willing to give the series the benefit of doubt and watch the story reveal itself the way the writers want it to.

As for remaking the old series, there really is no need unless they tell it from a different angle or even focus on different characters.

In other words, bring on the Destroids: SDF's Cannonfodder...

I could not agree more, if they are doing sequel or Frontier OVA, it should well plan out. Hell it is another opportunity for Bandai to churn out toys - VF-25F Ova version !

My personal view: judging from Alto's personality, I think he may end up choosing no one. He isn't really interested romantically to both of them, and until the future episodes give us more concrete proof, I don't think we can make a final call on this love triangle.

But I am not convince that Luca is aware that Leon/Grace would assassinate Howard Glass, or did I miss something ? Even Luca would try to stop the assassination if he knew about in advance.

, it is obvious that SK & Co is trying to convince us that Alto would go for Sheryl. However, as mentioned by Wolf-X, this show has always turn around our expectations, so it could be Ranka ending up with Alto (although I am rooting for Sheryl).

On the other hand, statically in other Macross series, the older female would get the male protagonist :-

Misa vs Minmay, Misa ended up with Hikaru

Sara vs. Mao, Sara ended up with Shin

Sheryl vs. Ranka, Sheryl would end with Alto ?

To Ozma, protecting Cathy and Ranka is his top priority, he does not care whether he has to shoot down Alto or Luca to do that. Even then, I think he nuts trying blow Luca into space dusts !

it's all speculation anyway, but Sheryl would probably see the greater good in her going on the quarter if the situation were fully explained to her. in any case I dont expect Alto or luca (much as I dislike luca, I dont think he was aware of or would have had any part in the coup) to be on shooting terms with the quarter for long.

Their fansubs, their rules? They are a speed subber; lots of other groups out there who provide avis. Personally, I don't mind. They do this stuff for free and on their own time. Why should I complain? Like I said, lots of other groups out there.
