  1. When it is PO night, I'm all about sharing where things pop up and are available. But for the 1D I just up and hit the link for AE rather than try to go cheaper on a proxy order.

Probably what soured me the most on From Japan was them accepting orders and then cancelling them later when folks then are stuck scrambling. So it is less it being shared here than it is them overbooking up front.

Right now the thread is like a massive, unorganized folder filled with all kinds of DX awesomeness, but if you haven't been tracking it for a while, it is really hard to find helpful info. Personally, I cringe every time I have to post a link to one of my earlier posts in this thread about how to purchase TWE items when someone new jumps into this thread and asks, for the millionth time, how to purchase TWE items. Happens every time there's a new release. Granted, there will always be some folks who post the question because they'd rather have others do the work for them, but having some kind of dedicated DX FAQ thread would probably cut down on a lot of the noise.

Hey, can you tell me how to purchase TWE items? And let me know all your proxies so I can use them before you and you get no chance to use them?

But I actually love this thread and it is one I focus on coming back to regularly. But then, if you saw my windows desktop, I store a lot of stuff there in a jumbled mess, so maybe I'm not the best person to model on.

If I had a larger scale motorcycle for the VF-1S to ride then I’d probably do this pose over again.

Started playing around with this pose with a HM Roy, HMR Regult, and a Beagle Mospeada, but I need to dig around for some foam to get the wheelie right.

How dark was the Black in the 1/48 Yammie 25th Anniversary VF-1 (same as the YF -19 I take it)?

If a DX 1a Cavaliers was made, then a darker shade of Blue would used to  make it different to Max's 1J.

    Yep, same black

I do....but not sure what your point is...."almost black" is still not "black"...LOL....

The point WAS that releasing a Cavaliers VF-1A that was ACTUALLY black would not be canon....

    Here you go.....

Want a black VF-1 from Bandai?  Pray they do copy Yamato and release a version of their non-canon "Stealth" VF-1J which does have "some" black in it's overall paint scheme....

Or rip off the black and gold anniversary 1S.

But I'll still get a black Cavaliers if they do it.

Make sure before you sue them, you used it properly well as described in their manual instructions. Coz I don't read them. Hahaha!

I just read the blower manual. There is fine print at the end:

Do not use to remove dust from expensive Macross collectibles. If you are stupid enough to do so, then you should not be allowed expensive collectibles, you knob.

I bought several makeup brushes after I read that you use them. Wife opened the Amazon package. I had some explaining to do. They do work well.

I did grab it form a big set of brushes she has, so it won't really be missed. And they do work fantastic (including on all my little gashapon Yamato ships). It would take some explaining on why I have it now. It's bad enough that she jokingly calls them my "dolls". And that when I have had armor parts arrive I then joked that I bought "clothes for my dolls". I don't think she'd let me live it down that I'm now using a makeup brush on them.

Or you can swing by a dollarama get a makeup brush or something that works too. As for grease/dirt, wash hands well prior to or wear gloves. :drinks:

I stole one of my wife's makeup brushes awhile ago.

I was trying to stay optimistic with my list, but we are dealing with Bandai, so maybe it will be a combo of #4 and #5, where you have to gather all of the pieces through purchasing Gundam toys, then the grey goggle head is a TWE lottery item that they unexpectedly announce at a Tamashii Nations event--with less than 24 hours before the pre-order window opens.

Bandai reads your post and is all:

A non-transformable valk would be an odd move, given how much Bandai has invested in making transformable ones. What they displayed a few months ago was armor on transforming Hikaru 1J, Max 1J, and Roy 1S valks. Bandai has three options for how they could release the armor (assuming they will):

    1. Release the armor as an accessory for the VF-1J Hikaru we got two years ago
    2. Reissue the VF-1J Hikaru, then release the armor as an accessory that will work with either one
    3. Package the armor with a VF-1J Hikaru reissue (what was done for the Hi-Metal R line)

    4. Release the armor as a TWE and then put up a TWE lottery the following month for a VF-1J Hikaru grey goggle replacement head.

    5. Release each armor piece separately with a Gundam toy so that you have to buy six Gundam toys you wouldn't ordinarily purchase to get each leg, arm, chest and back pieces, then sell the grey goggle piece as a TWE for 5000 yen.

  11. Personally I don't see much of a need to get into one more scale (when I have 1/48, 1/60, 1/55, and the HMR 1/90ish). I know they are considering destroids/enemies like the HMR but at this point they have two releases. I don't see the need to get into them on the promise they *might* eventually have the above. People who have Hasagawa or other 1/72 kits already may be more inclined to jump in at this scale. I just don't see the personal value there. It has nothing to do with Bandai love or Robotech hate and everything to do with "just one more scale".
