2008-06-24 Title: Gallia 4 This time I'll be having a concert at a frontier world called Gallia 4. Going to a place that I've never never experienced is really exciting. Especially so since Gallia 4 has an atmosphere!! I'll be singing in such a place. How will my voice resonate under a sky, I wonder. What will my ears here, I wonder. I'm thinking it was the first singer to impress Sheryl and the one that she spoke about in her blog. The timing is about right since Sheryl first met her in 2056.

I didn't it see it as Sheryl thinking that it would be a good way to sabotage Ranka's plans, but as her thinking of the perfect present for Alto. It's kinda interesting that she writes in her blog that she doesn't really care what she gives to guys for their birthdays, yet gave Alto the best gift he could ever have asked for. I don't think that Ranka even entered her thoughts at that moment. I may be reading a little much into this, but I'm thinking the thank you to Alto when she was on the spaceliner was because of what Grace said. She's going because there was the (false) rumor that survivors from Galaxy were on Gallia 4. She brushes this aside when Grace asks, but I'm sure that she's feeling a little insecure about how devastated she would be if the rumor turned out to be wrong. I guess Alto's presence gives her some emotional support for the likelihood of the rumor being untrue.

I figure that she's suffering from the Frontier NE 2 cold virus that she talked about in her blog. Would fit with the news footage of those people in stretchers.

Cathy was wondering if he saw the movie yet since Ranka is in it. Ozma gets mad because he swears that he'll never go see it no matter what anyone says since it's so vulgar. He's mad because he can't get over his overprotectiveness plus the cover of the magazine he's holding is one of Ranka kissing a guy. Notice how Cathy is not at all offended or even surprised at his reaction. I'm betting that she was expecting something like that.

Do not be ashamed of being enslaved by Queen Sheryl. She is a worthy mistress so you should have pride in being her slave. She had the collar around me from the first few minutes of the Decultured Edition and I haven't felt the need for freedom since. I can't really find anything but ambivalence or slight fondness for Ranka so far. She is not disagreeable, but it's just that she still seems so immature, more so than the other characters.

The ceiling is transparent so you can "sing while feeling the power of the sky". There are also pictures being taken of the "Three Shone" (no idea what this is) in the studio by Ryu, a photographer. These wonderful pictures help to stimulate her voice's imagination. She specifically asked for Ryu and gave him a copy of the single, but he already had five of them. It seems that even someone as untalkative as him was impressed with her singing. All the muscles in my body are sore...especially the inner parts of both of my thighs. For me, this is so shameful. On Galaxy I used to spend an hour and a half of everyday at a private sports gym doing a full course of weight lifting, aerobic exercises, and even muscle training, but when I came to Frontier I centered my routine around stretching and [steam yoga]. So I am basically reaping what I sowed. But even with that, the workout that I had today was not ordinary. It seems I unknowing used muscles that I don't use very often. Well, I did safely recover the thing that I was trying to recover. And I did get to see Frontier's beautiful sunset from the perfect vantage point and I also did get to prepare for my future schedule so I have no regrets. She's heard that for people in a certain country, "Miya" is the name of the craftsman that makes the tools and the places that God uses. With this she's ready for any number of interviews or photo shoots.

It's probably the residual, and not so residual, effects of a patriarchal world. It's hard to overcome thousands of years of male dominated rule in a few short decades, although the "bitch" labels being thrown around in this thread even by some Sheryl fans grate on me too.

It's so nice to see that not everyone is seduced by the moe infestation in recent anime and actually prefers more mature women. Sheryl is just so awesome that the word is inadequate to describe her. I'm actually beginning to do summaries of Sheryl's blog over at the Animesuki Macross forum and Lone Wolf is doing the Ranka one. It's under the Romance in Macross thread, although I'm not sure how long it will stay in there. To add more fuel to the fire, Sheryl's latest blog entry is her wondering about how emotions seem to collect at the fingertips, hair, and lips. She writes "Quite troublesome places, don't you think? But, maybe that's why we want them touched. Want them to be touched. Do you understand this feeling?" I guess this confirms the speculations that some people have had about her reaction to the kiss.

Unfortunately for me I watched Zero the last Wednesday before ep 10 came out...I really hate these breaks since it takes all my willpower just last through the week without having too many withdrawal symptoms. As for To Love RU, I tried reading the manga, but it was really bad...

Yeah the chronological order is way off, sometimes it's from 2058 and sometimes it's from 2059 and it goes from May to April to July or whenever. I wouldn't be surprised if this cold kicks her ass really bad since it's known for extremely high fevers and it's likely that she never encountered this strain before. As for the previous entry, the more I hear about Galaxy, the less hospitable it becomes. It's hard to imagine a place with absolutely no plant life. I understand that it's a ship and all, but does it have to be so sterile...

I think it's very likely that she added the extra parts. Plus having someone of Sheryl's stature be associated with a movie probably increases the chances of success by a lot.
