  1. miriya! You da man, MAN! Damn I wish I had the time get into something like this! Creating the dio's look so simple and I would love to expand mine as well. Hopefully if you're able to complete it I'll have some time on my hands by then and I can engage you and Ron for some tips of my own. Looks awesome bro!
  2. Valk retirement is for suckas!!!
  3. NightmareB4Macross...you are insane man! And I thought I had it bad for the 1/48's??? You're sick man, sick! But I love it!!!
  4. Man I have to say it again...I enjoy the new 1/60's, but I am still a sucka for 1/48's! I still can't get over the beauty of my latest addition!!!
  5. Not sure what it's called either, but I do know the D90 will do this. Well damn! I tell ya, there was blinding lightning coming from the sky last night and it probably wouldn't have taken much luck to capture some nice shots. I tell ya though Vegas, I remember when you first mentioned selling some Valks in order to pay for some camera stuff and I thought you were crazy man! Can't believe I've done the same thing. Fortunately I haven't had to part with a lot, but I have had to decide to focus on one scale for the time being...1/48!!! My fixation with customs don't help much either, but once they're out of the way I'll focus on completing my 1/60 collection and continue to enjoy this whole photography thing. Can't wait for my class to start!
  6. Man I wish! I'm still a few months out with the FX body. I get my next piece of glass in about 30 days give or take. I'm registered to take a six week DSLR class that starts on April 20th. I still haven't harnessed the usefulness of the D90 so I am hoping this class will give me a foundation to start capturing some great shots. Who knows, I may stay with the DX body or wait to see what Nikon's move is with their next prosumer FX body before making the jump. I think for now I will continue to cop nice lenses until then. Just ready to get all this stuff figured out so I can start taking some great shots. Spring is just around the corner and we had an amazing lightning storm last night after the tornado passed through. Is it possible to set the camera up and leave the shutter open to capture stuff like that? I mean can you "set it and forget it" and walk away while having the shutter set to close like every 10 seconds or so? Otherwise, how do photographers capture pictures of lightning?
  7. Now that one brings back memories. Took Save a while to get it shipped because of all the madness happening at the time with the guy that went on a slashing spree. Nothing like seeing a recycled 1/48 getting the proper respect it deserves! I just used my last set of side covers that I got as part of the deal on LV1...drat! Got some plans for my 1/48 VF-1J and armor. Might be a few months out...but it's coming!
  8. I like the new 1/60's like most here, but the 1/48's are still no slouch. The 1/48 VF-1D conversion is certainly a hands down winner...especially if done properly.
  9. Thanks! Wish I could afford another one to display in fighter mode. Seeing this in its weathered glory in 1/48 scale pisses on the 1/60th version. I love the new smaller scale, but nothing can ever take the place of me beloved 1/48's!!!
  10. That's so not right! You're cheating now! I actually love the new 1/60's and have a few. HLJ's latest sale its making it easy to play catch up while I am still indulged in 1/48!
