  1. I know what you mean, and, obviously, my post up above it said half-joking, tongue-in-cheek, but at the same time, I think Macross fans have the benefit of having subsequent Macross series to enjoy, like Frontier, etc. (I've only ever kind of skimmed these series, to be honest, so my understanding is that it's new characters, but the same universe, with the exception of DYRL, which is sort of a new take on the original story). Unfortunately, with MOSPEADA, there's been nothing, except for Love Live Alive, which is really just a clips show. Thus, the way a Macross fan would look forward to seeing a new Macross-style transforming fighter (Valkyrie, or am I mixing in Robotech terminology now?), I still enjoy seeing new MOSPEADA-style mecha, even if the story they appear in is utter trash... and the mecha themselves aren't very original...
  2. I have a problem... See, I LOVE Genesis Climber MOSPEADA... Robotech has a place in my heart due to the impact it had on me as a kid... However, I think Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles is an utter piece of trash and... and... oh, so many more bad things to say about it! Now, where my problem is, is that, since I am such a big MOSPEADA fan, I still love seeing anything new related to it, even including the RT:SC Super Cyclone (a ripoff of an unused MOSPEADA design, later called the Devastator in the RPGs), the Invid Overlord (a Beta fighter/TLEAD with an Invid/Inbit-looking skin on it), and even the Silverback (a sort of transforming dunebuggy put together with leftover Cyclone/MOSPEADA parts)... How do I reconcile how sorely ripped off, as a fan and a consumer, I feel with Shadow Chronicles with my enjoyment of getting ANYTHING new MOSPEADA-related? Help me world, help me...
  3. Yeah, but there were a bunch of shows in the '80s that featured computerized exoskeleton suits which gave the wearers special abilities. You'd figure the author would at least mention the fact that they transformed into motorcycles to distinguish them a little.
  4. Wow, doesn't sound like the writer even had access to a clip from the show...
  5. Really REALLY recommend RideBack to everyone. Even if eps. 1-3 aren't really your thing, things really get turned upside down come episodes 6&7, and it's really worth the ride (ok, pun intended, a little...).
  6. Saw it, though $50 seems a bit pricey to me for a couple of CMs figures with no bikes, even if it is free shipping.
  7. They don't even CLAIM to have the distribution rights to those, do they?
  8. Yeah, maybe, though I think episode 3 is more noteworthy for being the only time she's worn any riding gear except for a helmet...
  9. There is a good sense of this letting you know that there are actual thoughts going on behind those eyes.
  10. There are a bunch earlier in this thread and I believe at over-drive-inc.com and anymoon.com
  11. Still bugs me that if you type "mospeada.com" it takes you to a page owned by Harmony Gold.
  12. Nothing really for me there. My son might like the basketball one. Robo Crosser I'll check out, just out of my variable bikes addiction.
  13. Have to agree with you there. I really liked the toy designs from the first movie. Picked up all of them, except for the repaints. The new toys, with the exception of Starscream (very cool redesign on his transformation), just seem way too simplistic. Look at the constructicons, for instance. Like 3 steps, and they're done. You can even see the hands and face and everything in vehicle mode. Just feels like a totally different design team did these toys. No interest this time at all (except for the motorcycle ones).
  14. I just have the metallic Priss with motoslave, but I love it. Boomer should be coming soon. Just wish there were more motoslaves, as opposed to different colors of the same one.
  15. Thanks. So Atelier Sai just made the girls, right? Was hoping maybe they had made the motoslaves too. Seems like all we have out there are Hurricane I suits, no Hurricane II or Typhoon ones.
  16. Nice! Looks like they went with the Bubblegum Crash suits, and not the Bubblegum Crisis ones (or am I thinking Tokyo 2040?). So Atelier Sai just did the girls, and not the motoslaves or any mecha? Thanks for the pics, btw.
  17. I didn't even know Atelier Sai made BGC figures. I've only seen their Megazone 23 figures. Very cool, because they cover all the mecha, even the more obscure ones, just wish they transformed.
  18. So how do they compare to the Yamato ones? Is the scale really 1/12th? Because the Yamato ones are listed as 1/15th, but are really 1/18th, so the Aoshima ones should be HUGE by comparison.
  19. Woah! Wow! That's not the kit that is currently out, is it?
  20. Nice! Haven't seen Samurai Prowl in stores yet, but nice to see they fit.
  21. I would rather get all 4 in metallic, but fear that I'll keep waiting, the originals will no longer be available out there, and the metallics will never come.
  22. Just watched episode 7. WOW. WOW. Sh*t is really starting to go down now, and not at all the way I was expecting based on the first few episodes, and the first volume of the manga. WOW. Anyone not watching this is missing out on some of the best anime currently being made, in my opinion.
