I really like the shade of red that they picked for Bartley/Fuke/Houquet here. Much more real-world-militaristic looking, in my opinion. The CMs red, like all of their MOSPEADA toys, is just too cartoony-colored for my tastes.

Looks gorgeous. Only problem is the same one all Bartley toys have: that big empty space below the handlebars, where there's no fairing.

I don't know what to think about what is going on with Megahouse. On the one hand, Houquet's bike is taking forever... and Robotech.com (the only official place to get US Megahouse ride armor releases that I know of) only ever released Stick/Scott and Ray/Rand, both of which are permanently listed as being on backorder, and never released a Yellow/Lancer. These two things make me think that Megahouse may not be getting much for sales from MOSPEADA and may be focusing efforts elsewhere. On the other hand, they keep releasing special editions, like last month's all-black Yellow, the previous toy show's all black Stick, and a black-and-white Stick. This makes it seem like they are either keeping their MOSPEADA line going, while encountering delays with new engineering or new molds... or are just trying to make as much money as they can off of existing molds.

Just watched episode 10. Ok even without your warning, you could see that one coming a mile away. I have to say, though, they handled it so much better than I've seen anyone else do.

What Current Anime Series Are You Watching? v2.0
RavenHawk replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Just watched Venus Wars. This is one of those anime I've heard about for years, but somehow never really was interested in, so never watched it. Well, my need for some motorcycle anime (or monocycle, in this case), made me finally watch it. I wasn't expecting to like it at all, but actually liked it quite a lot. Story was good, reasonably mature, animation was MUCH better than i was expecting, character design and costumes were really good too. You can tell it was abbreviated from a much more detailed story (manga, I think). Wierd little bit of gay-bashing in there though. -
What Current Anime Series Are You Watching? v2.0
RavenHawk replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Just watched Armor Hunter Mellowlink. I've never watched any Votoms before, so didn't pick up on the references to the other storylines, but I liked it quite a lot. Would've preferred a little more plot and character development, but still, enjoyable show all around. I still feel like they took Rainy Boy from MOSPEADA and made a Votoms series about him. -
This site is pretty good: http://www.tokyotosho.com/index.php

Viper's Creed Thread (can we make it official?)
RavenHawk replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Episode 10: Ok, now it's not just starting to get interesting or better, now it's really getting good. Much better pacing, music that is really heightening the mood, various story elements coming together... now I feel like it was genuinely worth sitting through those earlier episodes. I'm just worried that nobody else is still watching. On a different note, this is starting to remind me of Blassreiter a bit. No zombie mutations going on or anything, but there is a certain mood and plot twist that just went on that does remind me of it. -
Viper's Creed Thread (can we make it official?)
RavenHawk replied to RavenHawk's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just watched episode 8. Well, this series took a while to get going, but things are really coming together. Seems like characters and subplots from previous episodes that all seemed kind of throw-away are actually intermingling, and it's starting to get interesting. Oh, and the ending to this episode... Wow... I did not see that coming at all! EDIT: Just noticed that the previous comment, also from me, was about having watched episode 2.Yes, I have watched 3-7 as well, just haven't seen anything that really made me want to comment until now. All decent storytelling, that nothing that blows me away (unlike Rideback). -
I believe you, but I've never seen anything official about this, so I did not know it had been confirmed by Beagle. The only place I had seen a release order previously was bigbadtoystore (if I remember correctly). I didn't realize it was based on Toynami's old old old info. Well, that being the case, it seems pretty definite that Houquet will be the "secret item."
-
I really doubt it. I think it's going to be one of the bikes (Yellow based on previously announced orders of releases from online retailers, Houquet based on the profile in the teaser).

I download movies and comics. If I like them, and they're still in print or available, then I go and buy them. Every time. I do this because I want people who put out the quality product to get the revenue and continue putting out most of whatever the product may be. If I don't like it, I don't feel a need to buy it. I know some of you on here may disagree with my personal take on it, but it's my way of, to some very small degree, trying to encourage people to put out high quality products. As for Gall Force, I thought the first movie was ok, but remain undecided. I want to watch the second movie and the third, and then form my opinion. If I like them, I will then buy all three, likely from Rightstuf (this is how I've done it many times in the past, and actually Rightstuf has gotten a good amount of business from me).

My son (10) was telling me and his older brother (14) about how cool Blurr is and how much cooler he is than the one from the movie (the original), just as I was about to play the youtube video for him...
-
Which one? I've watched up through episode 9. Waiting for a sub of 10 still...

I agree. Like I mentioned a few posts back, I hope someone like this releases the WWII designs. I just ordered the autoscout from bigbadtoystore. I've wanted someone to make a toy of that since I was a little kid and first saw it in the cartoon. Would LOVE to see some Transtech toys!

The Transformers 2 Thread--A Michael Bay thread
RavenHawk replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Nice to see something different for a transformation design. -
Thanks. Believe it or not, I did read over that page, but read the second paragraph and, in some moment of stupidity, somehow just skimmed the first one and missed the one vital sentence I was looking for... Ok, let's get back to the topic: So, how many days now until the mystery item from Beagle gets revealed?
-
Ok, gotcha. Thanks. Sorry, I love my motorcycle anime, but I'm not up on a lot of the anime and slang Japanese lingo. Yes, there were a ton of slo-mo shots in this one. Somehow though, I just don't mind it in RideBack. It's just such a quality show, and really hasn't disappointed me yet.
-
Are you sure? If so, great. As usual jenius, thanks. You're a wealth of info, especially for us MOSPEADA toy fans, lol.

I know other online retailers tend to state flat out that they don't bill you until they are ready to ship, but since Robotech.com doesn't make a point of mentioning it, I kind of suspect they like to sit on your money for a couple months... Guess I need to go through my bank records and see when they billed me on my previous orders from them.

I LOVE the motoslave in that first pic. Always wished someone would make a toy or model of it, but no one has ever gone beyond the first Hurrican I motoslaves, at least that I've ever been able to find.

I preordered the Scott/Stick Cyclone/MOSPEADA of the Toynami release of the Beagle through Robotech.com, and am now considering ordering the Rand/Ray one. Anyone here happen to know if Robotech.com bills you when you place the preorder, or not until it ships? I emailed their preorder department this question a full week ago but, surprise surprise, no answer yet.

You know, I love Artmic's stuff. Love it. I downloaded movie 1 and 2 for free. Watched the first movie, waiting to see the second one before I watch the third. Liked the mecha and ship designs, thought the story was pretty decent. But, you know, I feel I didn't underpay all that much... I'd pay like $5 each, but I just don't feel they're worth $15 each (and, keep in mind, I've gladly paid for the MOSPEADA box set, original BGC box set, 2 discs of BGC 2040, then the BGC 2040 box set, the original AD Police, the new AD Police, Bubblegum Crash, and would pay for scramble wars if it were available subbed).
