So is the Gunbarrel an exclusive or a standard preorder? Hoping for the former- don't think I'll be able to get into the race for this one
-
It's not a Metal Build or Macross 1/60 is it? Don't remember any that's supposed to be out today.

Considering sh*t's about to get real tonight....I recommend many of you on the fence to watch the video before pre--order madness starts.....it may free up some for the rest of us who will not be quitting anytime soon!
What's going to go on pre-order tonight?
-
For a preorder that people have said they didn't want, it certainly went quick.
-
Those t-shirts are amazing! Where did you get those!?
-
So is the list there what you have or what you want to trade for?

Love it! Arm Cannon! Woohoo! See, Falcon. Like I said, just a little bit of patience and this thread will get bombard by new photos and updates. Though thru 'Quote' since it's the same image over and over. Like what I'm doing now. Hehehe. But the point is, this IS happening and all of us should have it. Don't yah agree?
Yeah you're right, man. Should have been more patient.
Definitely gonna be looking out for it on Friday. I just can't say no to a YF-19 like that...

C'mon now. We've been at this for years now. Getting ecstatic with every new Valkyrie announcement. I don't find it weird now. Not every toy release Bandai has will have its own fanfare and all. And I guarantee, by tonight, or tomorrow, or even in the next couple of days, we will get bombard with pictures from their site. All we just need is a little bit of patience. They officially announced that it's going to have a PO date, right? Just so you know, MB Strike will have a few more info getting released on the 25th. Maybe by then, so does the YF-19. What's 1-2 more days to wait to see more infos? For me, hope this release is true. But they can move it back if they want to. I don't mind. More time to save.
Well that'd normally be ok but even the MB Strike has a YouTube clip announcement- the YF-19 has got nothing. Which makes me a little suspicious/surprised...
Normally the Tamashii website would have something hinted by now...
-
Not that I won't be looking like all of you but doesn't anyone find it weird that there's no pictures or solid information from Bandai itself for this one?
Almost feel that the YF-19 is quietly being swept under the rug on this one with no real promotion or fanfare. At least the MB Strike has a few things about but pretty much nothing for the YF-19. At 28,000 speculated, surely that's something to advertise?

Slaginpit so salty. Sad to think that Hollywood that likes to globalise their brand can't be allowed to cater for their broader audience? A bit xenophobic and hypocritical when they're so happy to take their money...
They might be doing badly in the States but I think it's done pretty well overall- $230+ million in a bit over 2 weeks. Not everyone's cup of tea granted but I don't think it's going to be a complete flop- probably going to make their money back with a bit of profit on the side. May have a sequel but I don't think that's as likely...

Don't quite understand the way they ship. Single order, paid and ordered on the 6/10/2017 from Australia and still haven't heard a thing. No prep or anything.

Wow, the abundance of CGI in the trailers really clashes with the simplistic, 2D character animation. Is this a low-budget production?
Recent Gundam projects like Thunderbolt and Unicorn have done a much better job of integrating the computer animation...

This Pandora looks like outdated crap by comparison.
Aren't you comparing a series to OVA's? Hardly a fair comparison if that's the case...
Doesn't look too different from other anime styles on show right now.

My understanding of most anime franchises is that profits to be made from outside do not generally exceed those from in Japan. Why do you suppose Big West hasn’t done more against Harmony Gold over the years? Japan is the prime market, and they have that. Big West is missing out, but not by that much.
Sure the Japanese market will always be the biggest but I'm quietly confident that the combined markets outside of Japan (especially South East Asia) when it comes to merchandising should be a decent chunk of change. I'd argue they're missing a lot- that's not even including potential growth due to opening up their market to others.

Think I missed out on the pf Hikaru

Well to update people on my situation, turns out it never left Japan and they refunded me when I escalated. They didn't really help my situation till I pushed and emailed strongly but they didn't cause me any grief on top of this either regarding refusal to refund or to attempt help. Take from it what you will.
-
Look at it, it never left Japan. It looks like it never arrived in Australia to be scanned first. I know the Australian Post service is normally listed if it touches down in Australia before it is accepted or rejected and sent back.

Maybe contact the USPS, see if they could help with any info about it at all.
Seeing as I'm from Australia and that it's from Japan to Australia, there shouldn't be a reason for it to go via USPS. It's frustrating that there isn't any help available apart from their Japan one provided- of which it hasn't left their shores during the whole time.
QuoteI've sent them emails a number of times with no response from them at all
They don't respond to you properly via e-mails at all. Unless you threaten to escalate and dispute using Paypal, you don't really get a real reply. Even the replies with Paypal disputes are curt and not consistent- claims that they'll reply are never adhered to unless YOU send the e-mail saying their self imposed deadline has passed and you will contact Paypal. They're a horrible shop that should be avoided at all costs.
I'm going to leave a negative review on their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Bandai-Japan-1590223341196162/reviews/ I encourage you to do the same if you feel their service is unsatisfactory.

They are technically correct. It shipped out of their hands. Just be patient I guess..............in my case I've got like #1 Battlestar Galactica, #1 BD, #4 Legends TF,#1 MP,#1 figma, #1 Daiki figure, #2 DVDs,#1 Macross papercraft and @1 TF decal set (all December #8 up). They will all arrive eventually (hopefully by the end of January). Thank gawd my SDF#1 arrive through the Christmas rush.
The tracking number shows that they started initial shipping over a week after the first e-mail on the 4th of December. The tracking number stated the process didn't start till the 12th. I'm going to see what happens but it's way too long for something that was supposed to come before Christmas. I've ordered products in Japan later than that with similar shipping and they've arrived. Feels sloppy/lazy from their end- don't like being lied to. For all I know it could be a dodgy tracking number in the hopes that my Dispute period expires and I'm out of luck no matter what I do.
-
I wouldn't have posted this or escalated with Paypal if they just responded properly to my e-mail. If you've told me it's shipped on the 4th of December and it's now New Years Eve, that's a long time between drinks without telling me the situation.
When I e-mailed about it I didn't get anything more than a generic response that it'd take 10 business days (which has been exceeded) and a tracking number that doesn't match the shipping date e-mailed and still hasn't left Tokyo for over 2 weeks from the 15th despite the fact it was supposedly shipped on the 4th? That's really fishy to me when you don't tell me what's going on despite my e-mail inquiry.
I just want the truth if there's a delay and not be jerked around. If they told me they made a mistake and it'll take longer than planned, that's not a problem. But to insist it's been shipped nearly a month ago when the tracking number doesn't correlate then they're not doing a great job at all.
-
Just for those that are thinking of ordering from them here's my story:
Ordered a Hi-Metal VF-2SS from them and received an e-mail on the 4 December saying that it's been shipped. On the 15th of December I e-mailed them about the situation asking for an update. All they did was e-mail me the same tracking number they gave me eariler. Over 2 weeks since then I check AGAIN the tracking number- it hasn't left Tokyo for over 2 weeks. E-mailed them last week about it but they never responded.
I've opened a Paypal dispute with them. Hoping for a positive outcome but I don't recommend them.

Was it released today? Nothing so far...

Got cart jacked before I could pay

In about 7 hours the next ordering window for the VF-31J Kai will open up again if anyone's interested.
Any luck with sites offering it? Didn't see any on my end...

A web exclusive and it's sold out already? Not sure how this works...
It's really strange how it's getting harder and harder to get Web Exclusives. Thought they were supposed to be easier to get?
