Is it worth the price?i got it here and it;s in stock -
Sorry for the delayed response, but not my fault since the forums have been down!
I still work on it a bit off and on, but it is sort of in limbo these days. To some extent I've moved onto modding games like Jedi Outcast/Academy and KOTOR/TSL. I still hope to finish it, although I'll probably reduce the scope quite a bit to something a bit more basic unfortunately. But I'd rather finish something that is complete instead of trying to do to much.
So I guess the short answer is that it is still alive, but barely.

I do have one spoiler. Mace Windu's death scene is odd. He gets eaten by a giant shark. I wasn't expecting that.
It was an homage to the giant space worm in ESB...

It is a really fun game for the style that it is. I also think that it is probably the best simulation of lightsaber combat that has come out so far...

Probably just the creator's similar ideas, since the events of Mayan (2008) were kept secret until Macross 7 time (2045).... but you never know.
Is there any official comment/documented statement that around that time the general populace or general military became aware about the events of Macross Zero?

For all that The Phantom Menace was not, the Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan/Darth Maul fight is one of the highlights of the entire saga.

Yeah, these are really cool!

You guys keep mentioning this "killing children" thing. I don't see anything wrong with killing children if their minds have been poisioned with propaganda to destroy what I stand for. Put me in a room with 100 kids who were raised by Militant Muslim Fundamentalists, and I would slit the throat of each one with absolutely NO hesitation. This kids are going to grow up to me my enemy, better kill em now than later after they have killed people I care about.
What if they were holding puppies?

I've seen it twice. The second time just make me like it more.
I found that as well. I guess there isn't as much sensory overload the second time. You can spend more time noticing all the suttleties.

I've never heard of such a thing. But that's not saying much.

In tales of the jedi and the sith war books the Mandalore were not human.
Here is what the unofficial database has to say about them:
"although xenoanthropologists disagree on whether or not this alien race was actually native to the planet Mandalore, they were in agreement that the ancient Mandalorians were a race of gray-skinned beings who were almost constantly at war. Analysis of the physiology of the ancient Mandalorians and their language pointed to the possibility that the Mandalorians were actually the descendants of the Taungs of Coruscant. What is known for sure is that the ancient Mandalorians eventually died out, and the name "Mandalorians" became a catch-all for any being - regardless of race - who adhered to the tenets of the Mandalorian shock troopers."

Jeez, I didn't know Singer had left beforehand. Boy am I behind the times.

At least this anime version can't suck any worse than Highlander: Endgame.
Or CAN it....?
Now you've jinxed it!

Macross MMO
in Games
The thing that i would want most is awsome graphics and not the "cartoony" sence that a few games have, which means more time in development, but to me it would be worth it,But, but...
I LIKE cartoony graphics.
That was one of Robotech: Battlecry's best features, IMO.
Ah good. It wasn't just me.

Palpatine wasn't wearing makeup. He was normal. When he was Sidious he had a cloak on to hide his normal features. Mace was using his lightsaber to deflect the lighting back at Palpatine. Palaptine in turn was intensifying the lightning so he looked more desperate to Anakin. His muscles melted right off of his bones. Anakin turns like a bitch, Mace dies. The end.
If I inderstand what you are saying, you are incorrect. Palpatine as he is at the end of the film (deformed) is actually his true appearance, and the Palpatine "normal" look is a ruse.

I got me copy last week. It is a must have for Macross fans.
Has anyone done english translations for the descriptions? Not that it matters too much.

ACtually, I beleive they have made the EU stories canon to a certain extent. It boils down to that the movies are the most canon and override everything else. The books, games, comics, etc. are the next level canon. In the case of games where there are options for being light side or dark side (like KOTOR and the JK series) the light side option is considered canon. While the EU stuff was never made canon, it has sort of struck me that Lucasfilm endorses the books, at least, and it seems that Lucas has been conent to let the EU authors run with the story. This would explained in one of those "ask the Jedi Coucil" things on starwars.com. The link for those seems to be broken right now.
Also, Lucas has stated that the EU is a parallel universe that does not affect his films. Thus, he can do whatever he wants with them.
I agree completely about the potential of the Old Republic era in regards to stories. There is just so much freedom there, especially before the rule of two comes about and there are armies of Sith. Also, like Knights of the Old Republic has shown, there's a lot of untapped potential in the thousands of years before the prequels. I personally think a story about a young Yoda and his Jedi companions battling to wrest control of the galaxy form the Dark Lords of the Sith would, in all likeliness, be more entertaining that a story about the tedium rebuilding the Republic and creating a new Jedi Order (with all respect to Zahn's novels, which are in fact quite good).I also agree about the post-ROTJ stories. While there are some good ones, most concepts seem pretty forced. The story of the Empire and Luke and the gang really is wrapped up at the end of ROTJ and their character archs are complete. In regards to the NJO, the fact that they felt they had to deviate so dramatically form anything Star Wars screams to me that the potential of that era has long since been used up. The other problem is that since all those stories were written before ROTS, there are plot holes and inconsistencies as well as just parts that probably would have been done differently now.

After the negative reaction to TPM and AoTC, I had doubts RoTS would perform at the box office.
It is undeniable that there was a large segment that didn't like Episodes 1 and 2. However, I think it is a bit overstated since ther majority actually enjoyed these films. Rotten Tomatoes had "fresh" ratings for both TPM (63%) and AOTC (65%) and almost twice as many favorable to non-favorable reviews. The IMDB ratings for these films are 6.4/10 and 7.0/10 respectively. Those who frequent that site will know that these are decent ratings, and in AOTC case, 7.0 is quite respectible.

I remember watching it regularly, but I hardly remember anything about it now...
