How about Macross Plus + Macross7 + Macross Zero? I don't think there has really been a game dedicated to Macross7? BTW, those screen shot must be from a pre-lease version of the game, because I don't recall such a menu screen. The screen where you can select fighter isn't like that... It is a pity that they didn't include it in this game though (who knows, maybe it is, heh) I also wonder what they're going to put in the game's guide when it is released... probably each stage's hints on getting S Rank? I hope there are still some secrets to be revealed... (still working on unlocking the last 3 fighters, all of which are VF-1Ss I believe)

So how do you go about getting Hikaru's 1S and Max's 1S (I assume those are the 2 remaining ones I'm missing, well besides Focker's 1S which I am working on).

You don't need to actually achieve S rank to get Max and Miria's VF-1J - you just need to pass the stage with the corresponding fighter paint. Now I just have to figure out how to get the 1S of Hikaru and Max (?) (I know the last one must be Focker's)

How do you get Hikaru's 1S? And is Focker's 1S available at all??

I just played P-05 with armoured VF-1J and beat it with S Rank (it was pretty easy). I got the Hikaru VF-1J card but I don't think my record got saved... so I don't think that would count towards the 16 out of 20 S Rank missions to get planes unlocked. Anybody knows how to get Hikaru's VF-1S? Can't wait to use that on A-08 - I wonder if it would be instant death for Badoza

Okay, for those who have the game and have been playing/finished the game, please post all the known secrets here (like how to get a particular craft/card, which stage to use who, etc.) Obviously this will contain spoilers for those who haven't finished the game (or watched the anime!) so you have been warned! The secret I've found so far is if you use VF-1A Kakizaki Paint in mission A-07 you get a... treat :-) I'm curious in how to get Max's paint and Hikaru's VF-1S paint, and also how to unlock the secret planes. Keep the secrets coming! :>

I forgot the exact mission # but this is the one where you're protecting Macross and you're supposed to destroy the enemy ships' weapons or something. There are many targets which I have destroyed, but was that it? It's somewhat difficult to figure out which ships I've done and which ones I haven't - any hints on how to pass this mission is appreciated. Thanks! (Okay need to change topic... it's actually stage 10!! )

Oh BTW... don't you guys think that it'd be sweet if they include some music from Macross Plus? When I was playing Macross Plus Game Edition, I would always choose 'Alone in the dark' for the background music... it's just awesome bg music for flying your valkyrie! I mean they had DYRL in Macross M3, why can't they mix it up a little? Since you can choose different valkyries in the game, maybe you can also select your own BGM... we can only dream :-) 3 more days (yay! Actually 2, it's already 21st in Japan )

I was gonna order it from amazon.co.jp, but they wouldn't export that!!! Maybe they would after it's available (pre-order doesn't work). I tried to buy the Macross Zero DVDs, and it would let me. Oh well.

This is sort of off-topic, but has anybody ordered from amazon.co.jp before (from outside Japan of course) - how are the shipping rates, etc.? I was told that it's probably the same price to get someone who lives in Japan to buy it for you in a store and then mail it to you (I guess if you have the time to shop around in Japan, there are some stores that would sell it cheaper...) Thoughts?

I guess there's a chance for everything... but it's just slimmer because of all the copyright issues. I was actually quite surprised that there is an English version of the Gundam: Road to Jaburo game for the PS2... but then I heard it's pretty difficult to find now (didn't make that many?) But anyways, this is definitely going to be a great game. BTW, yeah looking at the game cover/back and stuff, it did seem to say it's 1 player only.

Okay I finally watched the video, but it made me more pissed off because the guy who was playing it obviously didn't know what he's doing He let Macross get damaged so badly, and he barely shot anything down!! But from the video, at least you get a feel what the game is like, and it's pretty awesome... I noted that there seems to be too much dialog though, hmm... if you're a real valkyrie pilot, I don't think you can concentrate very well with so many radio messages every other second

Hmmm... this is sort of an off TOPIC question but a question related to on of the posts... Was the VF-11B Full Armour ever featured in Macross Plus??? Was it in the OVA? Or was it in Macross7?? It's the first time I've seen it - but looks pretty cool... If you ask me, the intro scene for Macross Plus OVA featuring the VF-11B was pretty cool

BTW, I also hope that the 'Bull' squadron is just a support group... and from most of the movies/game scenes, I haven't seen any purple fighters... but perhaps you progress the ranks throughout the game...? Anyways, just one more month... can hardly wait... It seems that they are releasing mech games for the PS2 like crazy... There was at least 2 Gundam titles in the past 2 months, a Macross title coming up and the new sequel to Gundam DX in December (Z Gundam: Titans VS AEUG) - mecha fans rejoice! :>

FINALLY!!! The last girl, I think is one of the operators on board the Macross... I could be wrong though. In the Mechanics section, how come they only have image of Focker's valkyrie?? We can only control him? Also, his battroid looks funny... if you look carefully at the right hand, you'll notice that there is another smaller 'hand' beside it on the left (of the right hand), weird huh? Also, in the main screen there is a picture of a battroid with its wings spread... how come it's so... SHORT?! I sound like I'm complaining, but I'm actually excited that they begin to populate the website (after delaying for a month?!) - hope to see more stuff soon (like System and more info in other sections).

I think the reason why MS 08Th Team took forever to finish, was because one of the producers or some important guy working on that project died. That show was one of my all time favourite though, it was worth the wait... though the ending wasn't... satisfiying enough About Macross Zero... as fans, I think we should rejoice that a series with 20 years of history is still going... I know the wait sucks but I guess at the end it will be well worth it. I personally think that Macross Zero is really slowly paced - I think they're trying to introduce more characters and give them enough time to develop. You have to realize that Shin is probably the protagonist in this series, and at present, he is still getting used to piloting his valkyrie... just imagine he has to become this kickass pilot by the end of the series (well that is my assumption anyways) - you don't want it to happen overnight right? I'm hoping that Vol. 3 will be the turning point, because if it is still slow paced, I think a lot of fans would drop out I still remember waiting for Macross Plus when it was still being released as OVA... I was so excited back then because like now, there had not been any Macross project for the longest time... So true fans - hang in there... hopefully we won't be disappointed at the end...
