utterly disappointed
how come they were able to make WW with seamless joints?
guess i'll just have to wait for her Valkyrie version.
wonder if HT can make light up human eyes?
-
the straps on her thighs are so tight i'm surprised only the wings and horns have turned purple..

couldn't agree with you more. what a wonderful story!
i'm on the TV series now, which has a very gentle pace. glad i watched the OVA first as a sort of intro into what to expect.

I still need to get my 1/18 Tony Stark out of storage to see how he looks with the 1/18 cars. Also to see if his head fits on an Iron Man body. Opened up the Lamborghini Centenario and since I have Black Widow handy I put her inside in the meantime.
where did you get your 1/18 Stark and Black Widow figures from?

Mahoutsukai no Yome -- do i need to watch the OVAs first before i start on the TV series?

nice!
but ground shipping?
might be mis-remembering, but i thought the seller was in China?

long shot: anyone here watched the BD release of Blade & Soul?
i'm thinking of buying the BD but not sure if they re-animated some of later episodes which suffered from lack of budget.
for context, my earlier post linked below shows just how big the disparity is, and why it's giving me pause:

about time they continue that story (anime-wise).
though my introduction was via Index, i ended up enjoying Railgun more.
more Kaori is never bad though.

saw some 1:28's on display. paintjobs are very basic, but they look fun to play with. i don't think they're meant to be display pieces. they're a far cry from the detail and presence of the 1:18's

I didn't even notice that till you mentioned it. That really stands out now i know it's there. That's really going to bug me now.
that it says made in china, or that it has an origin stamp at all?

thanks! Forbidden Planet seems fairly close to 007 exhibit, which in turn is just about a mile from where i'll be staying in Westminster.
should make for a nice Sunday stroll.

i thought the CG looks fine, not stellar, but good at least.
the massive fleets looked impressive, but what disappointed me was that they looked like a bunch of sitting ducks throwing popcorn at each other.
having read a lot of praise for LoGH, i guess i was expecting to see fleet maneuvering and ship tactics, like what you see in SBY2199

visiting London next week. it's been a few years, so can't remember the name of the store i chanced upon that had a lot of movie memorabilia.
long shot, but i'm looking for LOTR stuff by WETA/Sideshow, specifically these:
they are OOP but i'm hoping there's some old stock lying around some small, quaint store; maybe even a flea/weekend market, since i am arriving sunday morning.

that's not indicative of HG's finances, likely just prudent follow through by HG's legal team.
the arbitration ruling would most likely have specified payment deadlines. so if those lapsed, it's quite expected there will be a filing by the next day.

The code is good for several months as I recall, so don't worry too much about it. You might be able to get the discount applied to an existing order via contacting customer support though.
thanks for the tip! i'll try that and report back.

Wow 6% , thats the highest i have seen. For some reason i always get a 3 or 3.5%.
well, it is my first time clicking on the DP button (i think) and i did have several $k purchases with NY, so the accumulated DPs probably did it. if anything, i felt i should've gotten more, but i think a lot of my shopping binges didn't earn DPs (or were at reduced DP) as they typically are sale items. can't complain though when the discount is 40% on high value items, particularly the Fewture stuff.
so i had 62DP and it seems they divide that by 10 then rounded down to 6%. but seeing you guys had 0.5%, they probably round down to the nearest 0.5, which means that if you had 1-4 or 6-9 DPs, might as well wait till you make the next 5 or 10 before claiming the discount.
still no idea on how the LVLs or EXPs factor into all these.

i must really suck.
i took me a few days to get through ZOE2. got stuck on a couple of missions.
in the rescue Ardjet one, i keep forgetting i had Ardjet on GRAB and end up using her as a chained mace
in the base raid, after i immobilized fallen comrades to "heal" them, as i dash away i realize a moment too late that i had launched a salvo of missiles before i re-targeted back to enemies got the hang of it eventually, but then i got OC and repeated that mission until i got an S ranking.
the battleship mission i just kept repeating because the music and scenery were such a pleasure. plus, vector cannon!
anyway, i'm really hyped about this, though i was really hoping for ZOE3 and a new story.
any info on what those additional features are? i'm hoping story-driven side missions.
new mechanics? i'm torn about that one as ZOE2 is already tops on that front, though a few additional weapons probably couldn't hurt.

silly me. i wasn't paying attention to this DP thing until you guys brought it up.
so out of curiosity, i clicked on "Summon Discount Power" just to see how much discount i could get. to my surprise (and panic) there was no preview of what % that would amount to, and no confirmation screen at all to check that i didn't click on that button accidentally. it just went straight to lodging in my "request". now i'm thinking how many times i might have accidentally clicked on it in the past and let all those discount vouchers lapse.
anyway, i got 6%, but now i have nothing to buy as what i want are either already on order or on my watchlist waiting for availability.
i wonder if i can cancel my M&M PF and SDF-1 PF, then re-order them together and apply the discount? maybe throw in another VF-31C for good measure

Amazed you don't have a few of the Playmate ones. If you want a hovertank you can try and second hand one of those.
2 hours ago, tekering said:No, it would be faster to start from scratch than try to modify a Matchbox/Playmates Hovertank to look accurate. Every last proportion on that thing is wrong.
what tekering said. besides i want something in 1/48 to go with other Mospeada stuff or 1/35 with other military vehicles. much more practical for a platoon diorama.
heck, i actually don't mind the 1/20 scale of the Playmates since i do have a lot of Ma.K stuff, but again what's currently on offer isn't up to snuff. also, at that size, the detail has to has to be there, the cockpit at the least. and i want at least one in tank mode.

chanced upon a PG Falcon in KL last week, in an upscale mall of all places.
worked out to under $400. not bad , and i don't need to worry about shipping and import taxes.
too big for my luggage, but good thing it has its own brown shipping box. had the airline staff plaster it with FRAGILE stickers and checked it in.
happily, it survived the trip home with nary a dent in the box.
