Finnally after all of the HARDWORK ECC (East Coast Cannuck) Is wrapping up some tweeks on the VF-14. This was a hard one, that's the reason for the commission. These Valks need love too. I already know what I'm going to have done next. Any guesses?

Looks like he is using the views I created from my papercraft version of the VF-14. Hope it is usefull.

I've been researching around alot when I made the VF-14 papercraft. So I can help you out a little. The Gunpod is mostly the same like the one of the VF-17. It is stored in the "right leg" of the VF-14 (according to Macross M3 transformation animation). If there is anything you want to know, just ask me.

I've been watching the opening over and over it's looks different. it looks like it has a GUN STOCK Extender.

Re: VF-14

The landing gear in the image with the gun pod seems more right (the other image has the gear too-far forward of the center of gravity). Nevertheless, they are popping out where the internal missile launchers are. I suggest further up the side (nearer the wing root), and possibly further back: Like the VF-17: http://www.macross2....ter-lineart.gif

(VF-17 being the next fighter designed by General Galaxy, there's going to be more than a few similarities)

The gun pod isn't the right one. The one that has been scribbled for it is a lot thinner. The best place to find an image for it is in the Macross M3 game opening: https://www.youtube....F-8&sa=N&tab=i1

We might need someone to sketch it out for him - the crazy thing is where is it kept in fighter mode?

He was having problems with the landing gear surprisingly he based it on the real SR-71, but I wanted it to be accurate as possible

Kawamori-san is a genius though or crazy...... because I couldn't figure to transform this thing - I'm having these models down b/c as fans we deserve them - in the future I will share them with the community- B/C I'm such a nice guy - they made a low cost toy of the VF-9- it was the best examble to go by -

BTW GUYS- Ill let you know now- THE VF-14 is the next one he's working on right now- the bad thing about it is- the landing gear. I try to have ECC make them acurate as possible.

Funny, I've actually been sketching out some drawings for the Macross 7 PLUS one the last few days, trying to work out a clean profile design for it...

Actually and I think I speak for a lot of people. I would love to see more reference for the obscure valks - 3D work, profiles, etc...it's the 30th anniversry. Macross has come a mighty LOOONG way. We as the fans have shown much love and appreication to the genre. I've been wanting to throw my contribution in the mix and this was the best way that I could think of. Ever since the accident, my modeling skills have deminished. I thought this was the best way to inspire.

I demand an animation featuring these valks! What's next on your list? Maybe some Zentraedi mechas for your valks to blow up?

Actually, I was hoping you would, not enough reference for alot of the ladies.

Very nice, though you might want to ask CC to add a pilot figure. Just a generic figure with matt black texturing to give the silhouette of a pilot without going to all the trouble to detail it.

The several renders I had the privilege to work with in my composites didn't have pilots and that was tricky to deal with. I opted to use the metallic reflection usually seen on the F-22 Raptor to hide the empty seat or I'd cut an existing picture of a pilot into the cockpit area.

For it to look right it took some of time and patience.

That could be avoided with these renders if a pilot silhouette were added.

Something to consider.

Though if you want obscure, a VF-14 is about as obscure as they come ...

Ok, This is a Second Commission work that East Coast Cannuck did for me. This is another obscure Valkyrie and I wanted them to have some recognotation. He has done an awesome job of bringing the design to life. There's going to be more in the future. Keep your ears to the ground.

This is actually one of my favorite VF designs. If I had more time and wasn't in the middle of 17 projects, Id be tempted to do some sort of animated short involving it. The F-15 and its long stretch as Earth's dominant fighter-jet (until the F22) simply makes anything based off of it just as bad-ass.

Fantastic modeling work. I'd imagine there isn't as much artwork out there for this thing.

There's not alot of reference information on the VF-5000. Some of the design is not mechanical possible.

First of All, based on all of the talent that I've seen here, I suck at modelling. Because of a recent car accident, I have a lot of time on my hands. I wanted to try my hands at something that doesn't get a lot of attention. The VF-5000B- Star Mirage. I would love some feedback. Thanks.

You're Right- The cooler thing though is that these were out before we got that sketch-the fan group did alot of pictures of the valkyries up to that point. BEFORE we knew about Macross.

I figured it was only necessary that I do this. It's the 30th Anniversy and we're all talking about my favorite Valkyrie- I have some pics here. THere from a great guy, He's been MIA. I don't know where's he's been, but I thought it was fair. He original told me this fan group from Japan originally did these back in the 80's before Kawamori-san did the transformation design for the VF-4 and thought it was only fair to show thse.

BTW if if comes from HIM. It's pretty much CANNON. He only deals with CANNON and NO BS
