  1. I could use a little assistance. I was digging in my garage and I came across my old school consoles, mostly my old NES from 88, PS1 and PS2 and Dreamcast.
My setup at home is using one of those cable concealment wall deals and while I can easily find HDMI adapters for the consoles, all of the adapters themselves apparently need power which seem to use USB only, no AC Adapter for some reason to send image and audio to the TV. Hell right now I'm even trying to find a decent HDMI switch box cause right now I've got almost 12 freaking consoles in my armory but only 4 ports on the TV.
    Any suggestions?

  2. I’m not 100% sure if I’m gonna see it, but I’d like to. I’m just not excited for the typical comical comic book trope that’s been going on in a number of these kinda movies. I like serious and sorta dark with the occasional joke here and there.

  3. Rub signs were kind of the point back then.

I was out and about Wednesday at some retro game joints and wanted to go to a different location further down the road. When I got there I actually saw they had a fair amount of Transformer related merch. At first all I noticed were reissues of old G1 toys, hoist, redalert, all the seekers, some of the mini-bots etc. But as I got further down their aisle I saw some of the original waves of the classics lineup, Optimus, Nerf Gun Megatron, Bee, Grimlock, Mirage which surprised me. When I finally looked down I saw Titan's Return Trypticon who had been rather elusive to me as he never showed up in any of the toy shelves even when ToysRUs was still around....the only Titan scale out there I came across was Fort Max and that I had to grab back then.
Prices on this guy were not cheap online when I looked for him....I should had grabbed him when he was on amazon for 130 bucks about a year or two ago when it dropped.
I was a bit hesitant to look at the price sticker on this guy seeing how he was claimed to be mint in box. The only thing that suggested he was opened was a lack of tape on one of the flaps, so when I picked him up I saw he was listed for 199.99 thought "Nah something ain't right...." I looked around and pulled him out of the box and he not only was complete but he was still in his original tied down straps!
So of course yeah I'm gonna get him and I took him home and spent 3 days applying his stickers....man that was really tough! The instructions were wrong in a few areas and very vague on his placement.
I was happy I got him, but now I kind of regret it. My other cat, he's slowly dying of chronic Kidney Disease, treatment cost me a lot more than what I really had so now I gotta come up with the funds to pay it off along with finding the money to have him put down if he doesn't improve.

  4. Cool, I mean 1999 kind of beat them to the punch a long long time ago, but that's pretty cool. My only worry is they'll start cutting corners and like other areas you won't get instruction manuals in your boxes anymore, you'll have to go online and print them or something. And probably have to make an account.

  5. I was at a local con yesterday, blazing 110 degrees of fun :D ....sarcasm. I was really surprised on the number of venders out there selling nothing but TF figures, man I came across so many Omega Supremes it made me go "Yep, that's where they all went." 1 was loose for 300, the others were all boxed for over 400. I did find some old G1 figures still in boxes, most were reissues, but a decent amount of originals.....course expensive 200-500 a box. I DID come across something that made me do a double take. One of the vendors had an MP Ultra Magnus in box and I saw a small tag listing it for 124.99. Went over to the guy running it and asked him about the figure. As it turns out it was a used figure came with everything minus the instructions...........for 124.99! thinking to myself wow a 150 off cause it doesn't have instructions? that's odd!
But sign me up, I bought it, took him home, everyone was telling me, "Aw man you probably got scammed, I bet its missing pieces or floppy mess!" Once I opened the box and took a look I thought he might had been missing his normal face plate, but nope it was there tucked away. He really was in good shape and came with everything. Super easy to transform to boot. So he's going into the shelf where he shall remain relatively dust free. Yay me!

  6. Well speaking of the Toxitron/G2 lineup, I was at my local walmart picking up some stuff for dinner and I had come across Cloudbreaker, Jazz, Mirage, Sideswipe and surprisingly, Deadend. I almost pickedup Mirage and Jazz but really what I wanted was the G2 Deadend, so I skipped the other two. Truthfully I absolutely dislike the Neon colors the others have....if they broke the colors up a bit more I would had gotten those figures as well.....but when I was looking at them surprisingly Sideswipe and Deadend were the only good looking ones out there.  So I guess for now I'm sort of invested in the G2 Menasor lineup meaning I now have to huntdown Shadowstrip. That's not gonna be fun he's sorta expensive, never even came across him at all versus the other Velictron sets.

  7. personally I'm gonna always like the Generations Pax figure cause it stayed fairly close I think to the IDW one shot. I'd like to get the 2 pack with Alpha Trion....which is weird but yeah it's mostly just for the G1 side of me. This latest Orion variant man I knew I recognized the mold but I care so very little for the Seige Cybertron line up that it never dawned on me it was Hound. I will say though that out of all the pre-earth figures out there, the MCC Optimus is still my favorite even though it's a third party. The colors are nice, the details are sharp, the headsculpt is one of my favorite and makes me feel like it was worth the money paid for....which is odd when the next MCC release was I think Star Convoy and I heard that was pretty trashy.

But overall I'm glad I decided to actually cancel the other 2 pack, I couldn't afford it with what I just did to my car this week and I'm flat broke lol.

  8. Mercury was a damn shame to have gone in the direction it did, when we all saw the prologue episode I think we all went "Wow this could be neat!" followed by a bait and switch. It felt like the premises of a school program was a waste, characters that showed up were a waste and had no development, the "climax" was a waste at that, taking no ground or affecting any change. It was lazy writing, lazy character progression, just lazy lazy lazy, was this written by AI or something? I mean damn.

  9. I ended up breaking my tyranny pack open. I actually like the little bits of retooling they did to the seige mold, basically new chest, abdominal, front shoulders (rear half is the same) and a new head sculpt that’s pretty sharp.

even included a comparison between origins, seige and my G2.

not seeing any knee issue, infact overall the joints all the way around are tighter than either of my other two megatrons, and nothing seems out of place that I can tell.

  10. Ya know, I am fairly curious after so many years with the start of the generations line WHY we don’t have a Gears? He’s gotta be the only stinking character at this point from the original character lineup who has yet to get a new figure. MAYBE now that we are getting a Brawn, Gears will be around the corner…..as a hasbropulse/Walgreens/Walmart/target of some sort exclusive. Or Botcon.

I’ve sorta been itching to wanting to buy another bumble bee and cliff jumper set so I can tear them apart and candy coat them into their G2 schemes….they need it.

Huh. I have the Shockwave/Pax set due to arrive tomorrow, and the Ratbat/Megatron set showing as but shipped and due in August.

Lemme know what you end up getting in the mail then. I was very surprised the set I had canceled was the set I received. I'm not gonna complain to amazon over it though....I didn't really care for this recent iteration of Orion Pax when the old Generations variant was way nicer. Though truthfully I would much rather have the Hero is Born set and

  12. I'd like to go see it, I've never turned down an indy movie even if it wasn't all that good....I just always liked Indiana Jones. Sadly though, finances have been tough after putting one cat down and the other having to get medical assistance himself for kidney issues. Which bummed me out, I've been racking hours at work like crazy after we let someone go and wanted to do some upgrades to my car!

  13. So yesterday I was checking my account and was doing my budget when I had noticed a $75 charge from amazon. Couldn't think what it was so I popped on took a look and one of the 2 legacy packs had shipped, shockwave/orion set. I went "Aw crap....I forgot about these I didn't really want them....". So I went ahead and canceled the Tyranny set and thought maybe I'd set the other set some day. Well what was scheduled for Thursday next week ended up being today and when I opened the box low and behold......it's the Tyranny set....the set I had just canceled that wasn't supposed to be released until August!

Not sure if there was a mix up and that was supposed to be the set originally to release followed by the other or what. Oh well!

This is from the Variety article...

The cancellation of “Star Trek: Prodigy,” the first* animated kids show in the “Star Trek” universe, comes despite the fact that the show was renewed for a second season back in 2021. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, although the show had aired on Nickelodeon in addition to Paramount+, it will not be returning to Nickelodeon either. Those on the show will complete post-production on Season 2 and then CBS Studios will be free to shop it to other outlets.

So, it's possible we can still see the second season if it's picked up by another 'network.' But, Bejebus! They keep cancelling the shows I like. And what's with cancelling it if it is already that close to completion. Just air the dang thing without going through all these hoops!

OR they'll use it as a tax write off just like WB did with Batgirl and it'll never see the light of day. Wouldn't be a surprise considering so many potentially good shows just never get purchased from other outlets.

  15. I had a chance to scan over the english dub a couple of weeks ago. Overall it wasn't bad. There's a number of A Grade voice talent attached to it, though the scripting did take some odd liberties that are different in the original script. Either case it was good, not the best, but good. As for video quality it seemed fine, but seeing how I had to watch it over an old computer I couldn't say for sure it was top notch.

If I ever get the funds or come across it in person I'll probably end up buying it.

  16. Someway, somehow, Raiders is playing at my local theater. They wouldn't show ROTJ, but they'll show Raider's of the lost ark....go figure. Now, I do remember seeing The Last Crusade cause I was I think 6 or 7...and of course I did go and see Crystal Skull which I will continue to deny ever was an indy film. But the biggest memory for me was when you went to Mcdonalds and you purchased like a meal or something you could get the VHS tapes....I think we had to go as a family and purchase each video individually though. But we went home and we all watched the movies while having dinner. Those were actually fun times I think.

  17. The loss of the Galactic Star Cruiser doesn't surprise me. Their announcement to the project seemed so grandios and destined to either get scrapped or just fail by cutting corners and being cheap. The set designs were dull and not very star wars-ish to me, the cast was bland, the food looked eh, and the price was outrageous....I see it like that scene in the beginning of Jurassic Park where they're all sitting at the table and the lawyer is talking about all the thousands of dollars people will wanna spend to have this experience. But you got Hammond saying he wants this to be open to everyone as it needs to be shared all around, but the lawyer talks about coupon days and all that BS. Something in Disney's mind was thinking like the lawyer. And all of us were Hammond, we'd like to check it out and experience it, but we can't afford it. Which is what's leading to the downfall of this attraction.
