While I was out getting gas at the local walmart early this morning I thought I'd just take a stroll and see what they had, it's not a walmart I usually go to I prefer going outside of town. They had Redalert, Jazz, Retro styling Bee and Gears, lots of Devestation edition Optimus, and TFOne Bumblebee. But also came across a Sharkbite which surprised me, and a SS Sentinel Prime which was some w hat tempting, but seeing how I haven't bought a single TFOne figure I kinda went meh.
I kind of gave up, was sort of hoping for somethin G1ish i didn't own and my instincts kicked in and looked above the shelves and I saw 1 box kind of laying on its side and I got a better angle to look at what it was and WHAM, Scrapper. Easily snagged him up and grabbed a couple of the TFOne Blokees to give them a try I mean, they're 6 bucks a pop it's not a big deal.Scrapper isn't bad, I think yeah he's a bit over priced and shouldn't be 35 bucks, I just don't understand why he's a voyager price point for something almost deluxe sized. The Blokees ended up being cogless Bee and Orion Pax, overall not bad of a haul for something kind of spontaneous.

I have one, the 2nd version. Last I checked it worked fine, but the hard drive died. I put in an off-the-shelf drive and got it working, but for some reason it only saw like 8GB of the drive, so it might need replaced with an actual 360-formatted one. Shoot me a PM if you're still looking.
Mine is the original version, I've been looking at slims though, really wanna get my hands on the Halo Reach edition, I love how that sucker looks but most want 100+ with no drive. I've got a lot of medical issues going on lately, spent close to a grand with no answers what's wrong with me, so 360 is way on the back burner. Plus I gotta get repairs on the famicom and super famicom. Famicon doesn't have a good Player 1 controller, and Super Famicom has an audio issue where I found bad traces around the C61 capacitor leading to the chip dealing with Audio. : / just not my month.

Hm....
SpoilerFor me it still doesn't make up that the majority of the series rather blew. But at least they gave us something and had Keith Silverstein reprise his role as Char from the other world.....though Lucien Dodge I don't care for. That dude and I had beef way back when we were novice voice artists and he just really pissed me off cause he was sore that people preferred my voice on a certain character we both did over his and he just bashed the living hell out my variant and I didn't say squat on his.
But hey, 12 episodes, series is over, 12 episodes of meh, and now I really feel like I'm losing faith in the Gundam franchise once more.

The moment he's up for preorder I'm in.
I managed to successfully find a Slingshot at the local target, last one, both it and the walmart are just crawling with SS86 and SSOne Bee's and Que's and Devestation Optimus.
I rather like Slingshot....his vehicle mode cleans up really well but then in robot mode he's got big legs that'll take up a great amount of space in the cabinet until the rest of the figures are released. So that's 2 down, 3 to go. -
I just played catch up ont he last few episodes and I just threw my arms into the air over it. It's just lazy writing and story planning. I have ZERO investment in these characters, INCLUDING CHAR! I want this whole universe to get wiped from existence. DO IT SHUJI! JUST DO IT!

Bit bummed. My Xbox360 finally crapped out. It'd been having issues witht he disc drive not reading as of late so I took the initiative to get it replaced. Followed all the necessary steps I could, knowing that there's a serial key on there so I wasn't gonna do a flash on the disc drive so I did a board swap instead. But man one thing after another, console shell was super brittle and kept breaking when I took it apart even with the proper tools, and after doing the board swap and putting it all back together I kept getting a close tray on it. Messed around with it a few times more but the shell just got worse and worse and even the tray ejection button snapped off randomly.
Guess it's time to buy a new unit! Really bummed cause I just acquired a ton of good 360 games last weekend for cheap cheap at a garage sale.

I wonder what they'll do to fill in the roles of Dot and Barf then.

Man, looking at Titan class Star Convoy and it just isn't for me, espically at that price of 150 bucks. despite the flaws on it I still really like my MMC Stellarus. It has a much cleaner profile to it between modes.
I scored both Air Raid and Bonecrusher today....sort of spur of the moment purchases and t hey're not bad, not great, but not bad. I still laugh at poor Bonecrusher's limbs being so stubby and short on his forearms while having long lack luster looking legs.
But I guess this means I'm committed now to buying the two sets. I still really like the Maketoys set I've had for forever but it's no longer to scale to what's out there, they come just a bit to short. -
I liked it for the most part. The Sword was probably the best story of the 3. And the ending is kind of weak.
I did dig that little ending cameo though.
SpoilerIt’s odd though cause not that flint pistol belonged to what’s her name after prey, but looks like they wiped out her tribe and she’s now in stasis. Then it goes into Torres possession leaving him and the shinobi’s story up in the air as they get chased by a ton of predators.
I did dig that Michael Beihn had a small role in this project now putting him right there with Bill facing down 3 of the most infamous sci-fi villains of history.

Thank you for the heads up. I got one as a gift for my nephew, and will pass along word to my brother so he doesn't get caught by that rather odd issue. 👍
You can actually go on your old switch into systems and do data transfer to switch 2.

I picked up the Famicom and Super Famicom consoles today. Both are absolutely gross and needing a good cleaning in and out. Course no cables of any kind and 1 controller for the Super. I'm gonna hopefully meet up with someone who can help and see if both consoles even work or if I'm gonna need to do some stuff. He's got a very clean fixed up Super Famicom shell he's willing to trade for the current shell I got along with a new controller. Might take him up on it. It's gonna be tough getting both of these consoles up and running, probably. more so the famicom than the super.
UPDATE
Okay so I met up with someone in town a bit ago, he was nice enough to hook up both consoles and take a look. The original Famicom works, there might be a short in the Player 1 controller, or something inside, and I gotta investigate it, but the system does play games that's a huge win! He was also nice enough to gimme an RF adapter as he had about 50 of them in spare.
Sadly though, while the Super Famicom has power, it does not have a video signal. And we didn't have any games to test out on that unit.
I took the Famicom apart and it's just god awful disgusting inside. I wanna get it cleaned up real good and looking nice again, give it a nice lease on life....I dunno if I wanna retro bright it, but if I do give it a good scrubbing at least, that'll help. However if I do a bright treatment on it, I'll need sticker replacements. I can find the 3 clear stickers that go on the console, but the Family Computer label on the front seems to be very elusive and that surprises me. Has anyone come across a suitable replacement for it? -

Heads up for those that have got a Switch 2, according to reports, if you want to transfer the data from an original Switch you have to do it when the 2 prompts you when first started up, you will not get a second opportunity without a factory reset, which will likely lose you the data you were trying to transfer in the first place.
You can transfer your data to the cloud network with or without the switch 2 ahead of time. I already did all my stuff at work and skipped the prompt. Later uploaded my switch data to the cloud and downloaded it later.
either way no matter what you do when you transfer it factory resets. But you can still go back to your old switch, download the data and you should be fine.

Well, after spending the day with my Switch 2, I can confidently say that unless (like me) you're worried tariffs are going to drive the price up even higher, you can probably skip for now. The launch lineup is extremely sparse, with almost every good game being available on some other console*. Seriously, most people seem to be playing Cyberpunk 2077, and hey, if this is the first console some people bought that can play it more power to them, but I'll stick with PC for that. Mario Kart World is probably the only Switch 2-only game most people will look twice at, and... well, it's kind of just ok-ish. The open world map that's supposed to shake things up kind of doesn't. You can only play singleplayer, and unlike games like Forza Horizon you're not driving to different racing events. About the most exciting thing I found was the occasional P-switch that would start a short mission. The mission is always to get to a goal by a certain time, and the rewards seem to be stickers and maybe a new outfit. The meat and potatoes of the games is still Grand Prix, which is still a series of four races for points. I did two cups, and both of them started with a typical three-lap track, followed by three courses subdivided into three segments instead of laps. The idea is that one course flows into the next; these courses do exist as part of the open world. But since you're not actually racing in the open word it's not actually doing the game any favors. Rather, it reduces the variety of the courses as they start to blend together- and there's no Rainbow Road! Honestly, I think I'd rather play Mario Kart 8.
The majority of my time with the Switch 2 was spent playing BotW with the $10 upgrade pack... a game that, as a Wii-U title as well as a Switch 1 launch title, I don't recall pushing the Switch hardware the way TotK did. Is it actually better on Switch 2, then? Actually, yes... right away I noticed textures like the filigree in the Sheikah ruins is a lot sharper, and HDR means the colors pop more. Going back, it makes playing on the Switch 1 look kind of muddy and washed out. Link's character model doesn't look all that different, though, and I've noticed several instances of shrubbery popping in. Ultimately, the gameplay is unchanged, and after awhile you kind of get into it and stop really looking for or noticing differences. I'd say if you get a Switch 2 and want to play BotW again it's worth getting the upgrade for it, but the upgrade for BotW isn't worth getting a Switch 2 over. Frankly, I think Nintendo should have stockpiled consoles for another month and launched it with the new Donkey Kong available.
And while you're probably thinking it's pretty cool that you can use the Switch 1 Pro controller on the Switch 2, I think Nintendo did it more so all the Virtual Console controllers they've sold still work. Nintendo definitely wants you to buy the Switch 2 Pro controller, and they made sure you know it by making the old Pro controller unable to wake the console from sleep.
*Even though the Remaster is exclusive to Switch 2, the original Bravely Default can still be played on the 3DS, so I'm not counting it as a Switch 2 exclusive.
Hey, @Hikuro, I'm a little bit of a car guy so when you post a picture like that I'm looking at your dash, no the Switch 2. Is that an early 2010's Infiniti?
You’re close, 14 Nissan 370Z touring class. Families grown up around Z’s since the Datsun era so my dad and I both have them, he’s got a 2020 sport class.
been trying to get the new Z but they’re just so expensive between 42-70k depending on the type.i gotta agree. While I like the overall look and feel of the switch 2, I don’t see where it’s really that big of a difference between my old switch. What does sort of Tee me off is that transferring all my switch data MINUS the SD card essentially wipes out the memory resetting it to factory. And I can’t even use my SD card as the 2 requires the SDEX card which is quite the expensive storage upgrade between 50-100 bucks! And the question comes to mind, am I going to be playing the snot out of this console to warrant the purchase of more memory? Seeing how I didn’t fill up the switch’s HD let alone my 32gig SD card, I can probably say no. Unless Cyberpunk is gonna eat up the majority of the drive.
im also not keen that game cartridges are nothing more than CD keys meaning you still gotta download the game versus just installing then being able to start. But honestly that’s nothing new with any of the consoles in the market….you’re essentially installing the game to your drive and then downloading a stupid patch to fix problems.

while watching the trailer again I this time paused some of the end segments. Looks like somehow our lil synthetic heroine is gonna hook a xenomorph right on its secondary mouth and properly just rip the dang thing right out maybe even killing it or getting a big acid splash, guess wait and see.
There's at least some differences from what previous movies have tried like introducing other animals and species....it would be really. neat if they do the ol' kenner toy bit and we see the Xenomorph equivalent of those creatures.

I caved….so wow was really surprised it was still in stock on my lunch break cause Targets inventory check online was really accurate. Supposedly they have 5 more bundled variants left, lots of the standards.
initial thoughts, it’s big, it’s kind of heavy. The joycons are bending at the main body like I thought they would and that’s an issue I had with the original console. However my thought of accidentally pushing the release buttons has been forgotten. You gotta push a fairly noticeably big button on each to get them to dislodge.but right now that’s about all I can say. I really haven’t been able to try anything cause it’s taking forever to download the blasted update on company guest wifi.

Shouldn't be too hard to get working cables. It's probably not a bad deal, if the SFC was as solidly-built as the SNES then almost certainly still works no matter how yellow (and if you're comfortable taking it apart, it's possible to undue some of the yellowing), and if the Famicom is in good shape and works it's probably worth around $50 by itself. I think the real question is if you want to start down the rabbit hole of buying Japanese software. The cartridges/slots are a bit different on the Japanese systems. You can get adapters, but it's usually easier to find adapters to use Japanese carts on American hardware than the other way around.
Could be quite the rabbit hole, but so far I've had pretty good control on not going over board lately with retroware....I don't think I've purchased anything since maybe February for the most part.
Not even sure what games I would even purchase on either console....I would suppose some of the basics or a similar library to what I already got which isn't a terrible amount. 99% of the games I own are from my original ownership and it wasn't much. Folks didn't wanna pay those kind of prices even back in those days and that's understandable.Sametime, I dunno what's even really out there for games I could play that doesn't involve a lot of reading japanese, verbally hearing it is one thing, reading it, I sucked.

I forgot it's already June and it being released. I did see some unboxing videos and well, I still dunno. From what I could see, it does look neat, but I've also been happy with my original switch I've had for a decade. I don't see right now where I even need to do this purchase yet and sorta wanna wait now until they fixed bugs.
My biggest issue right now would be the magnetic joycons....I can just see people pushing those release buttons and dropping their system a lot. -
So quick Q, someones offering me untested Famicon and Super Famicon for 65 bucks. The Famicon looks to be in real good shape hardware wise but missing cables, comes with both controllers. The Super Famicom though, it's been yellowed a fair amount, no cables, 1 controller.
Sort of thinking of getting them on friday. Any thoughts? -
It's been big news in my area last 24 hours, I live just north of San Antonio not to far. From the sounds of it his house burnt down due to the really cold temps we tend to get over the last few years. He'd been using Propane (no pun intended) to heat up his home but it still wasn't enough. So he and his partner stayed at a hotel to stay warm. He was on his way back to the house to check on his 4 dogs when the house was on fire. Cause of the fire was supposedly determined to be the propane space heater however Joss claimed it was vandalism due to he being gay and often having trouble with various people in the area because of that. I can rather believe the heater being the issue as a very similar incident happened with my dad 6 years ago resulting in his home being burnt down and losing several of his dogs. These things happen when you don't think about it.
Now, this incident occurred I think back several months, and you roll into yesterday where he was coming to the property to pick up mail where his dispute with his neighbor began. I find it rather odd he's still picking up mail from an area that's no longer livable and not sent somewhere else. But I guess this so called neighbor has had various issues with Joss in the past, rumors are they'd shot at eachother before, I mean this is Texas and all that. But I guess things went to far this time and here we are. -

I think I'll preorder it. I'm really impressed with his Robot mode....vehicle mode, I mean it's okay, fairly heavy retool of Megatronus though isn't he? Either case, I'll order him as the replacement of my .......15+ year old Hegemon(?)
-
Do we even know how many episodes are in this series? With the pacing of things lately some of them range from 12-48 and split into segments a year apart. So maybe all this really slow bad pacing and awkwardness is because the show will eventually be split into two segments and just doing really crummy character development.
-
Wow geeze, what would have possessed you to of bought it? I mean.....I guess it makes for a neat conversation piece 😛
-
I haven't seen much for TF figures lately. I see a very small trickle of AOTP, Red Alert and Prima mostly....did come across ONE and ONLY ONE Megatronus/Fallen. Everything else has been TFOne or slightly older product. Hell there's once again an over saturation of SS86 Bee again.

I've been replaying this game, trying to find guides for quests and maps with some sort of translation to it. Granted, been using my phone for some of this stuff, but I'm having just a pain in the butt time completing any objective side quest that isn't "Go here and fight these guys." Still though, game is just as enjoyable to play as it was a decade ago when I first got it.
