Hmmm., I’m not familiar with that P-Bandai limited one but yokakuNow shows 5 unit left so I bought them all. Gotta take advantage of that favorable USD vs YEN rate now than later.

If it’s 6 per case then I hope they’d just pack the 5 with that case 🥹

whoa! went to go pick up another, as they were hanging around a bit!  guess not now!

  2. looks like a few more 21's opened up at yoyaku if anyone is interested.  looks like the jpn release date still of june?  whereas the usa release dates seems like it'll be august 2024.  most likely about 30-40ish will be added from the base price.

I did the same thing you did, based on the same reasons you specified.  Most of those negative comments were from over a year ago and all of the recent stuff seems like people are happy overall.

<Of course, this is just my way of convincing myself for not being a fool and ordering from potential crooks that stole from me before...>

    hahaha! word...!

Yeah that Reddit thread was almost a year old, a lot of the newer questions about them have people getting their bandai web exclusives gundams with no problems. So its all over

i've successfully ordered 3 valks from them.   and have gotten royally ripped off by ny...

What are the chances that places like AmiAmi, Genki Hobby, HLJ, and others would re-open their orders at the same price?

not sure if it was already mentioned.  at jpn release, there's still a very very slim chance that there may be an extra or 2 available for direct purchase.  most likely due to ppl cancelling because of unforeseen circumstances, or a shop may even hold a few back.  but they'll go in a blink of an eye.  the 3 shops you mentioned usually do not tho.  but i have seen items open on ami ami or genki occasionally.  sign up for notifications when an item becomes available, tho sometimes that process is slow and there's no guarantees.  i just got a jpn 2nd release blitzway voltron from genki this way

also, mandarake will have some too on release.  again, most likely at that point with the elevated market value in both of these scenarios

i suspect the 21 will go fast in any of these cases.  there are tea leaves that indicate usually how hot a valk may be.  this one felt pretty 🔥🔥🔥 and these will still go quickly as most will want the early jpn/asia release.  good luck!

i suppose WWM stores would be good as a backup buy. Of course the more expensive ones can act as a main buy, since less risk of not fulfilling orders due to higher prices...

Am thinking if i shld go for a third with kappa...as usual my wallet says no, and planning to wait for a vf-22 DX instead..

same...  mulling it over until stock is gone and then it was destined...

:good: yeah it seems better than JP shops which limit purchases, if you can avoid looking at the price, which isnt that far off.

Though i wonder if they can really handle the load, do kappa usually have a cut-off as well if orders come in heavy?

yep, something to def consider.  i like to think they have the best intentions, and nice to support local business, but ultimately they may getting their allocations at a limit.  i had preordered some hot toys clone troopers from a texas shop.  thinking the 'opportunity' to get the figures was secured.  but because hot toys is asia/hk based, the texas shop never got them and my order was cancelled.  no money was taken, but also didn't get the figs either.  and yes, price isn't far off.

oh thanks! do they have a local store front in the bay area?

i only dug into the 'about us' section of their site.  i noticed daly city.  i'm familiar with the area, but i've never seen a storefront.  google mapped the name and it turns up (per usual daly city / south sf) as a warehouse looking space, with probably a reception lobby.  and no phone number.  i surmise it's just a distribution/biz center for the online shop.

yes, both tokyo utaku and kappa are usa domestic shops. kappa is right here in the bay area.  decent price, and hella cheap shipping (even free!).  not bad not bad...

again, if ya willing to wait a month or 2 after jpn release, and since most if not all the jpn shops are sold out...  beggers and choosers...
