    Good point on the Tread. Something I hadn't thought through. At this scale a Legioss/Tread combo will be quite imposing/striking (what I'm looking for). Fingers triple crossed on a Tread release. Thanks for filling me in/giving me perspective. I'm a lot more optimistic about having one now. I just measured a VF-1S w/ S&S HMR. 5.5" to the top of the head. 6" to the tips of the head lasers. 7.5" to the tip of the Strike Cannon in its vertical position. The Legoiss is 6.3". Depending on what you want to call the actual height of the HMR the Legoiss is either a little taller or a little shorter. That said, the Legoiss is a LOT chunkier which will give it considerably more visual impact. Again, what I'm looking for. Thanks!

    I didn't suggest that it wasn't. The reason I'm on the fence is the perceived high quality. If there was not an expectation of quality it would be a hard pass for me. I want a bigger one for more display impact. Not because I care how it scales with other toys. And, the $$/size ratio isn't fantastic.

    It's shorter than a 1/60 VF-1. It's about the size of a HMR VF-1. When I got my head around the size I canceled my PO for three at Hobby Search. After a day I felt I still wanted one/some...kinda. Put a PO in for two at BBTS. I've got 6mo+ to decide if I want to go through with it. I'm still on the fence a bit. If there was news of a soon to be released Tread I would be far more inclined to keep my BBTS PO. I'm not thrilled with the size/$$ ratio. More than anything I want some size out of it. I would pay more for a 1/35 without a second thought.

    Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with the size/cost ratio. I'm re-thinking my PO now........

    Soldier mode is 160mm/6.3" according to the specs on Hobby Search. That seems pretty short. A 1/48 VF-1 is about 254mm/10". I'm not sure that's a good spec.

    Maybe slightly. But, AmazonJP wasn't up by the time I turned in last night. And EVERY SINGLE thing I have gotten from AmazonJP has had a damaged box so far. I'll pay the extra couple bucks and get undamaged shipping (in theory). I'm also not sure how AmazonJP does shipping on multiples. Do the charge you shipping three times? If it's like AmazonUS, yes. Hobby Search will ship in one box and in theory that will be less expensive....maybe?? Either way, it's only going to be a couple $$ swing. Not the end of the world.

    Maybe. I'm not a "one color" guy by any means. I love all of the SV-51's for example. But it's because I like how they look. Not because I'm attached to a particular color, character or drive to have "the whole fleet". If/when they release more of these I'll see what turns me on and go from there. Right now I like the blue because it looks good to me, and it has the added bonus of a lot nostalgia going for it. I'm kind of a weird cat.

    It's got three modes right. I don't do the "whole line" thing like a,lot of people seem to enjoy (I'm not knocking it). For example it seems a lot of people want the whole VF-1 DX Vermilion Squadron. That doesn't do anything for me. I go with what I think looks cool and/or has nostalgia value and get one in each mode I like so I can display them all at once. Fore example I have three Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Roy's. One for each mode. But I only have two Ivanov and two Nora's because I only like the look of Fighter and Gerwalk. The SV-51 Battroid doesn't do it for me.

    When I got the Zaku II I didn't know what Gundam or Metal Build was. It may have been my first non Macross purchase. I saw a pic of it on here and liked it so much I pulled the trigger. Now I would notice.

    I probably didn't looks at the box. And because the quality was so good thought it was a MB. What other Fix Figuration's are the same quality as the ZakuII?
