  1. This Tuesday I'm going to LA with my girlfriend for a week. The usual question is: Where can I get Macross stuff?

This second request is a little bit off topic. Can anyone point me to a place where I can rent a car? A place with special rates, not the usual price I can find at the airport where they rip off turists.

Any pointers of the places I should visit for a LA first time visitor?

    Thanx!!!!!

    Yamato, where's the godamn YF 19 <_<

  2. why is it that this toy gets no love?

it came out, people got them, then the excitment quickly weithered away. we still talk about VF's to no end but the konig doesn't seem to have the same mojo or get the same TLC.

has anyone done anything in the ways of mods? or new paint schemes?

Well, the Monster is my currently favourite toy (along with the 1/60 VF 1J with GBP armor). I don't want to count the minutes I keep staring at it every day

Yes I've said it, Hikaru's 1/60 VF 1J with GBP armor is one of my favourites.

When the 1/48 GBP comes out it will dress my two VF 1S, no love for 1/48 VF1J, never liked the head :( .

  3. why 5 months?

    I have a five month contract ;)

And it will be "work followed by sightseeing"

And I'll be surfing as much as possible!!!

    nice dude.

i'm actually headed down to your country(argentina) in a few weeks(some time in feb) so i can hit the beaches, skate and enjoy the summer time down there. :)

If you can, go to Mar del Plata (pearl of the Atlantic ocean ;) ) That's where I live!!! I'll change my city for five months in paradise (Hawaii  )

Back on topic, I'm thinking of preordering another König Monster with Kevin. Anyone ordering multiples?

  4. Well, next wednesday I'm going to Oahu, Hawaii on a 5 month trip (till 18th may 2005) with my girlfriend. Lucky me ;) Got myself the best present

Have one König Monster on preorder with Kevin and will also get Max Q-Rau. Also got an order of twelve 7 inches vinyl discs from NOFX (best punk band ever!!!) that will come out next year.

  5. At the current limited units that Yamato are commited to produce, I rather that people who only knew Robotech, stay with the MPC toys. Let those who know and will appreciate what's good have the Yamato 1/48s. Either that, or somebody install some boot prints on Yamato's arse so they make more.

    Well said BoB!!! ;)

  6. You are right about the size and antiquated look of the VF-0, but it "borrows" many design details from the SW-AXI. When I see the VF-0, I also see the SW-AXI.

The VF-0 looks more advanced than the VF-1, just like the "Schneeblume" (my perception). At least we got two cool designs

  7. I actually think the Zero was a excellent design, especially when you had to think about the problem of not making the VF-1 obsolete. If the SW was made to be the VF-0 (when it looks far more futuristic)... it would be considered munchkinesque.

Good points, but the VF-0 also looks far more futuristic than the VF-1!!

When I first saw the lineart of the Zero I thought what the #$%? The Hory Head copied himself!!! (he has the right to). I like M Zero but, being the SW-AXI an advanced fighter from 2045, it's impossible to make me believe the VF-0 is the prototype of the VF-1. It has the same arms, feet, legs (almost identical panel lines and details) as the SW-AXI. The Schneeblume could have been made to be the VF-0 (but it was impossible since it was situated in the VF-EX program/universe). That's why Kawamory designed the VF-0 (but took too many things from another design).

Ah, I got it out of my system ;)

But I do like both fighters. When I watch M Zero I pretend the SW-AXI does not exist!!!
