True. I now only realized the thread title. So stupid of me.
Fixed my earlier post.

I have a feeling that Major Tom posted here because there's no Third Party Gundam Kit thread for it.

Maybe telling ebay your local enforcers wont open a file against a seller located on the other side of the planet?
Hope it all works out.
I've updated my situation in the Blacklist Thread. Case closed in favor of me.
QuoteOk. So here's the latest news on this eBay purchased DX Chogokin YF-19 Full Set Pack drama.
I spoke with an eBay CS person this morning after I send the information they need 2 days ago. And I just called them just to hear updates and if they still need more info from me. Then they told me that they received what they need and they just need to call the Sheriff's office first to verify the details I've given them. After 30mins they called back and told me that everything checked out and that they already closed the case in my favor. And that I will get my refund in the next couple of days. Since it's already weekend, I'll see it back on my Paypal by Tuesday.
With this experience, I think they just want to verify that I'm not making a false claim and that now they're going to investigate the seller due to continuously getting negative feedbacks which probably they're getting a lot of claim reports from buyers.
I'm just glad that I will get my money back in 2 days. And that I can still get to leave a negative feedback on the seller according to the CS.
Anyways, there you go.
eBay got my back, all's right in the world.
Edit: Here's now the other 2 buyers who bought the same thing. I'll add mine in awhile.
Again, stay away from this seller: chenchenchenhui.

Ok. So I received an email from eBay (customerhelp@email.com) stating I need to file a Police report about the Chinese scammer incident that I had with the DX YF-19 a few days ago. This is my first time to report such incident so I just want to ask some members here who had the same experience that I have if this is a normal procedure from eBay. Does eBay request for a Police Report as part of their actions before they give back your full refund?
These are the list they want to see in the report:
- Description of the item
- Name of the officer filing the report
- Badge number of the officer who's doing the report
- Station location (city and state)
- Station phone number
Thanks in advance.

Hahaha!
Well, officially that 'photochopping' term is more for the DX VF/YF-19. And to be honest, seeing the above picture reminds me of the YF-29 30th Version with a different canopy color. And I have to say, I DO like the color they used in their marketing photos.

Care is relative. They care about this market for products they can provide here. They can’t market Macross here, therefore manufacturing enough product to satisfy Japan and the rest of the world is not on their mind.
Now maybe, with supposed impending legal proceedings concerning HG, they’re watching and planning to be able to provide that distribution here. But that assumes they’re Macross fans who know we’re out here which is a liklihood of about zero.
Point taken. But who knows, right? I mean maybe Bandai just seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and they're just preparing their Chess pieces until the said impending legal proceedings with HG.

Thanks sh9000! Looks like I have to track down the X-Men.
Question on the Archangel. You mentioned there was an early release. Which one should I get if ever?
On 11/7/2018 at 8:49 PM, Mommar said:Yes. The summer of 2017 they released Rogue and Cyclops, this past summer Wolverine and Psylocke. This coming spring Gambit, Beast and Jubilee with the addition of Forge from the same comic era will release. Plus Professor X in his Chair will come sometime in 2019. Also this past year they released Bishop and Archangel from the Gold Team. They could easily cap off both teams by end of 2019 or beginning of 2020.
12 hours ago, Mommar said:To be honest if you want the Animated Series lineup your best bet is Marvel Legends. By next summer you'll have everyone except Storm and Jean Grey. And they all look the part. Mezco are cool looking, especially that mega optic blast effect for Cyclops, but they take liberties with the costumes. They don't look like the comic book or animated series in the same way Marvel Legends does. Also, Mezco has released precisely one figure that would go in that lineup (Wolverine) and their release schedule is behind by practically a year so the second one, Cyclops, won't be available until possibly next July. And there's no telling if/when they will get around to any of the other characters or how similar the costumes will be to their comic/animated counterpart. It'll save you a lot of money too. Rounding up the three already available Marvel Legends plus purchasing the next three next year will cost you less than just the one Mezco Wolverine will.
Hey Mommar! Thanks for this insight. Looks like I'm sold on getting the Marvel Legends line just to complete the 2 teams. And it's much cheaper compared to the other two lines.

Sad to say, it's the only thing I want from this figure for me to buy it and pay it full price.

Then why Bandai marketed it as 'Nexx Gilbert' unit only then? Even the promo pic is shown with a different painted pilot figure. They should've added '/Hibiki' on the unit's name and put an extra Nexx figure.

Bandai learning? I really doubt it, to them this item was supposed to be for the japanese markets only, so I think they accomplished their goals, I really doubt they could really care about the international markets for now
I think they DO care about international markets.
SpoilerBandai Namco Holdings noted in the announcement that it acquired Bluefin to strengthen and speed up its merchandise sales in the North American hobby collectibles market, to use Bluefin's local business knowledge in organizing fan-oriented events, and to use its existing distribution network.
http://news.toyark.com/2018/09/21/bluefin-acquired-by-bandai-namco-317172
BANDAI NAMCO HD, acquires US “BLUEfin” business Established US toy business company for core fans The BANDAI NAMCO Group moves to strengthen the market for core fans in North America. On September 19, 2018, BANDAI NAMCO Holdings announced that it will establish a new subsidiary BANDAI NAMCO Collectibles LLC focusing on the high target market in North America.
BANDAI NAMCO Collectibles is headquartered in Anaheim, California. Established in October 2018, it starts operation in January 2019. The capital is 27 million dollars. Mr. Steve Fujimura will be appointed as president and CEO, and Mr. Kanefumi Iwata of Bandai Namco America will be appointed COO.
A major advantage of the new company is that it is an importer of the local Japanese toy for establishment and receiving business transfer from retailer NIPPON IMPORTS, LLC. NIPPON IMPORTS is a “BLUEfin” brand, selling products such as figures for core fans.
The brand of BLUEfin is familiar to fans at large booth exhibitions such as comic and anime expo. In particular, they are demonstrating their strengths with the related character products of the BANDAI NAMCO Group.
BANDAI NAMCO Collectibles inherits “BLUEfin” brand and continues to deliver hobby related products to fans in North America.
Also, Steve Fujimura, president and CEO of BANDAI NAMCO Collectibles, is also CEO of NIPPON IMPORTS. The head office address of the new company is the same as the current head office of NIPPON IMPORTS. 80% of the shareholders of the new company are BANDAI NAMCO Holdings USA and 20% are NIPPON IMPORTS. In fact, establishing a new company seems to be regarded as an acquisition of BLUEfin related business by BANDAI NAMCO Group, making it a subsidiary company.
With the establishment of this subsidiary, the BANDAI NAMCO Group will be able to acquire the distribution and brands of products for core fans. On the other hand, BLUEfin side will be able to do business with expansive capital and group capabilities.
Japan’s content business is said to have less profit in proportion to the popularity of animation. It is often pointed out that sales can not be provided at the same time as the release of the work, and that the sales are not sufficient. Whether BLUEfin will change that situation, the key to future development will be relevant products. The BANDAI NAMCO Group’s challenge will draw attention.

This is why I don't load out the missiles. I remember my first foray on putting those when I bought my first used Yamato V2 Valk when I started this collection and noticed that the clips on the missile is loose and it got more worst when I tried to put it. In my head, I thought they should've just used small magnets for easy installation and removal.

Bad news is I'm now sharing the work laptop I've been using to make CAD models.
And maybe you can come up with a clip for Kairos use.

Actually as of the upcoming Hasbro X-Men wave this spring you can have the entire Blue Team. And there’s only four left of the Gold team too.
Oh really? That's good to know then.
And that's under the Marvel Legends line?

Most Marvel Select figures are 7” scale so Marvel Select Gambit will be taller.
I see. And that's my dilemma. I mean, I'm really not planning on collecting the whole team per se. If ever I am then I wanted for them to come out from one series rather than get each character from different series. Yes, I do want to have the X-Men Jim Lee Blue and Gold Team figures as long that it's the same line. But at this point we can't get it from just one line. And even though there's already available Rogue figure from ML 2 years ago, I somehow preferred the upcoming one from Marvel Select. And with that, I'm just thinking should I just get the characters that I like. Then, I will realize that the Cyclops I want is released via ML line and the one from MS is the old costume. So in a way, I won't be able to get the characters I like from a single line. I might preorder Revoltech Gambit in the hopes that there might be a Rogue figure and Cyclops in the future. After all, it reminds me of their design in the Capcom games which I really like since it's a anime version of Jim Lee's design. If not, then I might just get the MS Gambit while it's still cheap and place a preorder for Rogue.

I don’t know about any quality changes/upgrades since I only own the Marvel line. They’re roughly six inches and they scale well enough with Legends for now (stylistically they don’t match at all) and they scale well enough with Figuarts Street Fighter figures though Wolverine is about the same height as the average Legends figure and is the same height as other Revo Marvel figures like Captain america. This Gambit is clearly taller so that might mesn he’s more of a seven inch scale which puts him out of scale with the other Revo Marvel stuff. We’ll see how Psylocke fits into this when she releases this month.
Thanks Mommar! So it looks like they're probably out of scale with other Marvel figures. And to be honest, even though I know Wolverine is shorter than Gambit, that picture of them together left me an impression that Wolverine is too much out of scale with Gambit. Hope I'm wrong though since I'm considering on getting Wolverine if I decided on preordering Gambit.

And that's why I wanted to get the Marvel Select Gambit since that one have the accessory that shows he's throwing cards with effects.

Frankly speaking, they need to stop asking Kawamori to okay things, and just use their freakin' eyes.
As much as I would like that sentiment, it would be hard since they need final approvals from Big West and Kawamori for them to start mass produce it.
Out of curiosity though, how much do you guys think that Kawamori and Big West has to say on all things? Are we talking like 100% from design to prototypes?

The entire concept of that just feels like the worst kind of excuse though. "Sorry, we couldn't manufacture things to our own high standards, so we're cancelling your order?" WTF kind of business practice is that?
I don't think it's a QC issue. Bandai should've mentioned something on their blog or twitter. Kind of what they did after the upside-down SMS. Both of the VF-31A I ordered before including the one I received from NY didn't have any QC issues on the paint finish. Looking forward to check the third one after I get it to see if there's some QC issues on it.

Ok. So questions, guys. I only have the first generation Revoltech figures such as Evangelion and Getter Robots. Not to mention the Fraulein line of Eva girls. How's the quality of today's Revoltech? And how they scaled up with regular figures like Marvel Legends, Figuarts, Figma, etc? And is there a link somewhere that I can see some pics of them together or along with the other figure line I mentioned above for comparison?
Would love to hear your thoughts before I dive into ordering this Gambit.
Thanks in advance!
-
Oh man. That Gambit looks nice. And here I was thinking if I should score the Marvel Select Gambit since there will be an upcoming Marvel Select Rogue figure. Decisions. Decisions. Hope they will complete the X-Men (Capcom stlye look).
Some small images I saw but a little bit clearer.
I'm sold after seeing only this pic:

Yeah. It was a nice suit. I saw some glimpse of the Walkure girls wearing their trademark color version as part of the CG anime opening from the 3rd Live Concert. That's where the VF-31 Makina themed design made by Hasegawa came from.
