  1. Put it this way... how many times would you transform your 1/48? Once, twice? I'm afraid to break mine! Chunky Monkeys rule!!!! Add a few custom parts (new head, new paint job, etc.)... you're set for life!!! I'd wish Bandai continued with the reissues.... *please God?*
  2. I've got the original yamato stickers. And Devin's decals, I only used the Max ones, you can have em. PS:s I'm in Singapore too.. email me. robotnik@pacific.net.sg

    My first 1/48

Jessee, In Chinese custom, 8 is a prosperous number. Normally associated with wealth. 8 1/48s is a good thing. Just my 2 cents worth... Alvin
  6. Was looking at my 1/48 AAMs and was wondering what color to paint em. Any one have any ideas? Any screen shots of missiles? Or should I follow USN missiles with the yellow and brown stripes on em? Can anyone help?

  10. Check out the FAQs or ask on the boards over at Starship Modeler , I hang around there quite a bit and everyone is more than happy to help. I found this awesome set on Squadron.com for those of us that have yet to get a 1/48, I think I may pick this one up. It's a hasegawa set,, BUT it's in 1/72!

  12. Building and painting are easy, follow the instructions, it's the weathering that you need practice on. You can prob find sites that teach you how to. Best is still trial and error, until you get something you like. The Verlinden kits will be a little harder. They're mostly solid resin with photo etched parts. Cutting and sandind the resin gets tricky on small scales. Not forgetting you'd prob need some tools too. Not too easy if it's your first one. Alvin
  13. I think the Hasegawa 1/48 ground crew is the only set of any use (includes 4 grenrators). Other ground crew sets all only have figures. However they're not accurate to the OVA. Any accurate stuff will have to be scratch built. I think there was a topic on the old boards for this. The old Bandai line art of the 1/55 Strike valk however used the hasegawa 1/72 ground crew and equipment. edit: too used to using spell checks....

  16. MY first valk was a 1/100 bootleg VF-1J. Got it for a birthday present in 86. Broke the arms off after a week.... will never forget that!
  17. 1/55, 1/48, 1/60, all the same to me. Still a valkyrie!! Love em all!!! But especially have a soft spot for the 1/55. Call it... memories...... I think most of us grew up with the 1/55.
  18. cool... I don't have to make my own anymore.
  19. I'd rather yamato stuck to giving us what we all want a 1/60 or 1/48 GBP first then.... and ONLY THEN should they make an F-14.
