Heard the reviews are bad with slow shipping and what not, but if they really got VF-31As at that price, and it eventually comes....

Wait what? You ordered on the 10th and getting your order shipped, so must all of us start make back and forths with NY to get our orders shipped too? I thought I was being paitent with them and I ordered on the 7th and still no news, just the ‘mid may’ news when I got someone from japan to call them. So I waited and then now i hear they shipped out someone’s elses piece whom order after me, NY is really in my never to use again list.

The funny thing is that my VF-31C suyper parts have been shipped and yet to hear a beep about my VF-31A

Yup, am done with NY for myself, will get my stuff from elsewhere in future.

be glad that you got your vf-31A in one piece, a lot of us are still waiting for our piece, the box is nice if perfect, but the toy inside it is nicer, the box only matters if you a)display the box with the toy or b)plan to resell it at some point in time.

I did that with the VF-31S and I got both confirmation emails, I then proceed to cancel one as they have a 1 per customer rule. Just drop them a msg to let them know you will cancel the other one and you will be fine

I bought 1 item from nin nin before, its a 30th anniversary YF-29 and it came though was a lil yellow in some parts

Is it me or is this an exact same mold as the vf-19 advance, with split canopy n the other extras? Although if those missles do come with it, I don’t mind getting it as i love extra missles

Same here, as long as the toy is in perfect condition, I don’t really care about the box condition. If i knew there would be issues getting my copy, I should have snatched that toy when the girl at tamashi showroom was replacing the mock up with a factory smaple back when I was in akihabara last novemember. Haha

I am not being dismissive, but there is new evidence that HG might not have the rights to macross character depiction, just saying that, that is good news for the future for big west to start marketing stuff outside of japan. Relax, not saying you are wrong, just saying good things might be coming for the future of macross for fans outside of japan.
That said, maybe its On big west being not interested in marketing these shows/merchandise outside of japan that is the cause of the lack of anything outside of japan than what HG is doing that is why we have lack of anything macross outside of japan.

It is definitely a crappy situation all around, made worse by poor communication by multiple parties in the supply chain. Of course this has left all of us to try to come up with whatever theory we can to fill in the blanks and make sense of this absurdity. The worst part is that even if we all get our orders, we'll probably never know the real truth of what happened.
Last I heard HG never had the rights to the depiction of the characters to begin with as tatsumoto did not owned those rights. That said, even if they had the rights to the original macross, that has nothing to do with current macross and the new vf incarnations
