wow... those TV 1A's look pretty awesome.... where do all these talented customizers get started w/ their work?? is it a natural gift? or is there some shitty project they 1st started on and have since perfected their work?? haha..... i wanna see Kurts very 1st custom ever and see how his work has changed from them till now....
OK, if really want to see my first custom. Here it is. I actually have been building models for the last 25 years or so. But this was the first custom toy that I did about 16 months ago. So if you were to compare my very first model to what I do today, I am pretty sure you would see an improvement.

How long would it take, on average, for one of these customs to be completed?
About 2 weeks.

damn that's a hella good job on those 1/48's! How much you charge for that?
Customs range from $200 on up depending on what you want. For exactly what you see here, $200 each.
Including valk or we provide valk?
Oh, yes. You must provide the valk, fast packs and decals. I don't like you guys that much to charge just $50- $75 for labor.

Do you use gunze laquers to seal the paint job? it should be pretty tought.
I use Gunze Mr. Surfacer 1000 laquer to prime all of my customs. I then use acrylics for the paint and clear coats.

How well does the paint react to multiple transformations ?
I always clearly explain to my customers that customs should not be overly transformed. If care is taken the paint holds up fairly well.

What were the colors you use for the TV max and Kakazaki?
I used Gunze H15 Blue for Max. Kakazaki was Gunze Brown #? with some 316 white mixed in to lighten it up.
Thanks everyone for the compliments!

Hey Kurt, the valk looks awesome, one question, how do you do your post shading on your panel lines?
For the most part I prefer to pre-shade. I use a very dark gray to outline the panel lines and then paint over that. There should be enough of the shadow showing through for a nice effect. However sometimes the panel lines need a bit more shading. When I do post shade a use Tamiya smoke. It is very translucent and is pretty hard to over do.

may I ask how much you sold it for?
Just under $400.
I was right!
Or did I jinx the guy.......
Maybe YOU bought it ...
No I didn't. That's a lie. You guys don't believe his lie do you?!
Yeah right.
Oh c'mon. Don't I have any credibility here? Hang on, there Kurt, hey Kurt buddy, tell them that they're wrong!
Nope, Kensei is not the lucky owner.

amazing!!!!
the leg damage is so superb!!!
the only comments i have is if only u had all decals instead of some of those stickers and it looks like u forgot to apply a wash coat/shading to the missles.
There were no stickers used. Everything is a decal. As far as the missles, I did do some minor shading. I feel that if a wash is applied to makes the missles look old, and they should be brand new.

dayum that's toit!!! Now if this had the damaged fast packs on, it would make this piece even more perfect! Good freakin job!
I didn't have any fast packs on hand.
And yes, I just sold it. Thanks to all that contacted me.

Thanks again everyone for your compliments. I wanted to offer this to everyone here first before Ebay. So PM me with and offer and I will consider it.

Thanks everyone. Yes I was depicting previous damage with the welded on plates and the non-matching forearms. And I was not intending the damage to come from just one hit.

I am not buying any of these for myself but would love the chance to work on one. If anyone wants to commission me to work on theirs just let me know.
