Fantastic work Kurt!!
It looks great, how is the post shading holding up? I've been thinking about doing a little bit of weathering/post shading on my Yamato too, but I've been worried that through handling and transformations, the very light post-shading might scrape off at where the parts rub - even with a clear coat. What do you do to protect it against these scrapes? Does it hold up well?
Keep up the great work.
Wm
Thanks everyone for the compliments. I have seen no issues with the post shading. I usually tend to do more pre then post shading. However with pre-shading I think the subject tends to look more weathered, which wasn't the look I was going for with this. I personally do not own any of the customs I have done. They are all commission jobs. I can tell you that I have had no complaints, so the paint I would assume is holding up fine. I apply a coat of future over the whole valk and then I follow that up with Polly S flat.

Perfect! Thank you.

Can someone please let me know if there is somewhere I can get a painting guide for the YF19 & 21. I realise that Hasegawa has them, but I don't want to buy the kits to get the guide. Thanks for the help.

That's incredible work! Sometimes I think your craft surpasses even Jung's.
I wouldn't say that. Jung does some very nice work. Everyone has their own style, which appeals to different people.

Beautiful!
How do you paint the Gu-11? do you take apart it or just masking?
Do you mean the gun pod? I just mask off the red marker light and paint it just like the rest of the valk.

incredible work as always i wish i had your skills, just out of curiosity how long on average does it take for you to do these?
1-1/2 to 2 weeks.

Wow, super-nice. Likewise, how did you weather the Valk proper?
Kinda looks like pastels...
Not pastels. I used an oil wash for the panel lines and post shaded with Tamiya smoke.

Wow!!! Awesome!!!
I noticed the arrow on the VF-1S head is not painted. Should it be painted?? Anyway, good job!!! Hope to save enough money so you can customize my valks...

Per the Hasegawa painting guide, no colored arrows on the head.

Only 3 in the world, why so many? I can customize a 1/48 for you and I promise that it will be one of a kind....

Jeremy,
I am available for commission jobs. There are a couple of links below to some Hasegawa Valks I have done. I have images of several more that I can post, or give me your e-mail and I will send them to you. PM me and we discuss exactly which kits you are interested in and how you would want them built.

I am curious though, ever consider customizing a 1/72? Perhaps a YF-21 customized. Personnaly I would like to see one painted up like Sunstorm from the Transformers line.
I have never had my hands on a 1/72 YF-21. So I don't know the difficulty in taking one apart for customizing. However I am willing to try.

I'd commission a Roy VF-1S to have this sorta decaling and weathering. But I fear I'd never enjoy my other (plain) 1/48s again!
Oh, come on. You will never regret it.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful compliments.....

Hey everyone. Here are images of yet one more Enigma that I have done. I know, your probably tired of them by now. This one is weathered a bit more than previous ones and I used a different ID number. Let me know what you think.
And if you like what you see, it could be yours.

Hey everyone, I'm back. I thought I would show off my latest commissioned valk. Nothing fancy, just a DYRL 1S. Two added features are the kill marks and the red tips on the large missiles. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
