I'll be trying out that Flory Models weathering wash on my Hikaru 1S when it gets here. If it looks good, then I'll use it on my Arcadia VF-0S next.

How did NY become garbage? Years ago when I ordered from them, there were never any issues. When did all this start happening?

True, but it wouldn't be the T.V. version of Roy's VF-1S, and for me, it's the only version of Roy's 1S that matters. (Pilot and all)

I'm so glad I will soon be done with this line once I get TV Roy in. I might get the missile set, just to complete it. Unless they make a Low Vis of course, which I doubt. Or. they make a two seater, which I think is even less likely. I have to admit though, I am curious as to what Bandai's road map is.

I got my Mac-Z, it's awesome! Absolutely flawless paint apps, I'm glad I got one. I have a feeling this is NEVER going to be reissued again for some reason, LOL!

I would really like to see two seat versions, namely the VF-1D. If they don't make that, then I'm done after Roy's 1S. Unless they make some kind of low vis, that I wouldn't be able to resist, lol.

I passed on the Eta, I'm just waiting on the shadow version, if they don't make that, I'll just get Eta when they reissue it. If they don't, then I'll just get one on the secondary market. But I'm pretty damned sure that they're going to have a shadow fighter if they're going to be making the red and the green version too.

Still can't get over just how accurate this sculpt is, the more I look at it, the more I'm wanting the premium finish version. I can only hope that I can either find one that I can afford, or that Bandai makes their own.

Yeah, I'm glad I knew about that beforehand before getting mine thanks to the reviews I watched. It actually doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, though they damned well better have that fixed on Roy's TV version.

As I said before, the sculpt of the VF-0 just flows better than the VF-1. The VF-1 by itself isn't bad, but when I look at the VF-0S next to my DX Hikaru VF-1S, the VF-0S just looks more elegant. Even though the DX's tampo printed details are amazing, the overall sculpt isn't on the level of the VF-0S. I really wish they'd retcon the VF-1 and with some changes basically make it a scaled down VF-0 with reactor engines. If nothing else, I wish they'd CGI the VF-1 and do away with the anime magic and make a once and for all definitive version of the VF-1. The VF-0 is slim, has zero anime magic, and yet not only has the backpack sit inline with the engines, those same engines are also about as close together in fighter mode as the anime line art VF-1. All without any anime magic.

I know it's going to be expensive, but now I have to have one, so I don't care. Something told me I was going to want one when I got this, I should have known.

I just got it in a while ago and have been admiring the fighter mode. Once I got everything locked down, it seems to to be staying in place pretty well. The sculpt is even better than Yamato's release and no where near as floppy. You know, in a weird way, I kinda actually like the lack of detail, it has the Jolly Roger Skulls that I love, but since it doesn't have the modex numbers, it's not tied to belonging to anyone and I can pretend that this one had nuclear reactor engines put in and is one par with the VF-1's, lol. You know, as much as I've always loved the VF-1's, the VF-0 fixes every issue I had with the VF-1's exposed arms and backpack section not really blending in with the engines. Frankly, I think they should downscale the VF-0 frame, reshape it a bit, and make it the new VF-1. Don't get me wrong, the VF-1 will always be special to me, but between the two, I love the flow of the VF-0's design more. Anyways, I guess I'm going to see about acquiring a premium finish version, because why not? I highly doubt Arcadia is going to re-release it. I should have the money for one on the secondary market next month, assuming I can find one under $600 and up that is, lol.

I don't think I'm going to bother putting on any decals, let alone the numbers, especially if the 301 for the wing is going to not look right. I love the sculpt, but Arcadia not at least putting the numbers on is beyond lame. Even Yamato at least did that much and more with their releases. Hmm...maybe Bandai will come out with the VF-0 series one day, at least we know they'll have all the markings and then some.

I've been thinking about picking up the Advance on the secondary market, I hate the feet on their YF-19.

Now that I'm finally getting a VF-0S, I can finally scratch that one off my list of things I missed out on, lol.

I don't blame you one bit, as you know, I ended up getting a Hikaru DYRL VF-1S because I wanted one in hand before I get my Roy (Assuming Nin-Nin comes through). Despite the issues with the arms not locking solidly in fighter mode, it is very detailed and looks good on it's stand.

Yeah, I'm thinking about jumping on it, I don't think I'll see that kind of price again.
